Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Looked round a few charity shops but didn't buy anything.
3) Changed my bed, got all the washing dry on the line, tidied up and cleaned the bathroom. It has rained a lot from about 5pm onwards.
4) Cut all the nettles and brambles down on the path that leads to the septic tank (not my land) so the septic tank man can get through to empty it.
5) BSD continues - had hm soup for lunch then roast chicken plus leek and apple for tea. In using stuff up, smaller son had his chicken with some mashed potatoes, peas and (as we had run out of stuffing) a large individual Yorkshire pudding!
6) My brother popped in so I could check some paperwork for him.
7) The English exam... I tried not to think about it. It was 3 hours but with 45 minutes extra time (which he never uses). I phoned college to say to keep some lunch back for him. I sent a text after 12 saying well done and that there was cottage pie! No answer...
It turns out he spent an hour annotating both texts (hoorah!), then another hour answering all the questions about them. I asked what he had spotted and he said, "rhetorical questions, quotations, emotive language" so that all sounded perfect. He then had a piece of writing to do about the internet, so that was OK. 3 hours were up. He thought his answer paper looked "bulky" so had a double check - and found a final question for 30 marks to write a story! So off he went again, and ended up writing for 3 hours 30 mins, which, with various difficulties and fine motor problems, is ridiculous. He went to bed when he got home! He's not hugely positive but I think did a thorough job.
8) County emailed to say he needs an annual review and for his college to say he needs to go to new college. I very much enjoyed composing an email in reply, to point out we did all that last October and that County have just ignored me since then. I also put that I'm happy to employ a solicitor for the third time and to go to a tribunal for the second time. They're in trouble this evening for banning parents from sitting in on public meetings...10 -
- Our bedding is clean as is the upstairs, along with a bit more de cluttering and digging out the air con, not much de cluttering achieved but tidied. We have a plan to save on laundry loads for the animals, as we were gifted a lot of used animal bedding by people with the best intentions but really the bedding is at the end of its life already before being passed to us - so we will use it and bin it, it will save on a lot of laundry loads and gets it out of the way.
- Bourneville is eating and drinking on his own and seems able to walk better, so the meds are complete, and I am stopping getting up for him as he now has the want to look after himself.
- I’ve ordered some paint to finish off painting the landing, which leads onto the bedroom skirting and the hallway skirting and cupboard, I’ll be pleased when it’s done.
- Lunch was a chicken fillet roll.
- Just bought in the line dried wash loads before the hopeful thunderstorms.

1. Work over - had a meeting online in the afternoon and my camera didn't work. Caught up in some stuff whilst listening.
2. My line manager kept out of my way all day which was great.
3. Washing had dried in the line so all out away.
4. Sat reading my book in the garden.
5. Easy tea from the freezer - after another free lunch at work.9 -
For yesterday,
A quiet day to myself at home.
Did pop down to the GC for more compost, marigolds jumped into my trolley along with a new watering can as the rose on my other one has inexplicably disappeared, small dog has probably buried it!
Planted out my tomatoes and some rocket as well, marigolds scattered around the beds and in with the toms of course.
Reading outside in the sunshine.
Tea was meatballs in tomato sauce with lots of use up veggies added, strawbs for afters.

Heading home from Cornwall after a lovely few days away with my bestie 😊
St Michael’s Mount was beautiful yesterday and weather stayed dry, though rather windy. We had lunch in the cafe there with her cousin who works in the gift shop and also bought a nice few bits.
We had a very pleasant evening at her cousins with ages ranging from 21 to 93 plus 3 dogs! Not my thing at all but good nonetheless.
heres hoping for a good, if long, journey home 😊7 -
haha admiral if I go back 200 years I could have a feast for 6 shillings...Don't know if they've made any progress on the 30p meal - we were fixated on the Gers game last night.
For yesterday
1) sunshine at last - still wouldn't say warm but not tipping with rain and blowing a hooley
2) lunch was a very nice Guacamole salad courtesy of Mr T special offer
3) a long and tuff day so fixed with colleague to go for dog walk at 5:00 - ended up we went to Broughty Ferry beach with the boys- she went swimming, the boys and I went paddling
4) back for one last meeting then lish fish curry that I'd made lunch-time while listening to archers on catch-up
5) which meant i was late for the game - disappointing result but very good game.
