3. Nice to see DD3 who spent the night here, phone chat with DD1 and DD2 is starting to feel better. (2nd round of Covid).
4. Film night tonight…..if we can find something we both fancy watching.

Lie-in and coffee and croissant LaineyT perfect start to a Sunday. you have reminded me i have a couple of croissants in the freezer, might have one for supper
1) pleased with the euro result, and love the UK song (though also liked the NL song)
2) made a lish fish stew before starting on the resub at 9 (m'eh)
3) went up to mum's for lunch then we went for a lovely walk up Balgay - she's a very fit bean for 82 - the birds were singing away and although there was a nippy sea breeze mum has given me a fleece surplus to her requirements which was cosy and a lovely colour
4) then back to hers to bash the resub down to the required word count and correct typos, mainly ones that had crept in from sticking 2 crash-damaged sentences together to try to get word count down. now 75 words under, have sent to boss
5) now eating a yummy big bowl of fish stew, the rest being in the fridge for tomorrow and maybe tuesday too
and tomorrow of course admiral is Luton leg 2 with DrM - he's asked me to text him tomorrow to remember his Luton scarf 🤣

Good evening
Admiral - Buzby sounds good to me. Let's hope he's fitted soon.
D Doll - will you still see Dr M after the end of the football season? ( Is there an end to the football season? It does seem to go on a bit!)
This weekend
Went round to D D's to sit in their garden. It's a real suntrap and they're very proud of the work they've done in it - rightly so - so we duly admired it.
Had tea outside. First time this year, with a glass of wine too.
Did some holiday admin. Boarding cards ready to print and sorted annual insurance. Not too bad considering DH medical history.
Found some leftover turkey in the freezer so risotto for tea today.
Pretty disinterested in Eurovision but delighted by the result!
Happy evening everyone11 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) A lie in.
2) Hoovered and steamed the floors and did a load of washing.
3) Went out for a cup of tea in the local garden centre.
4) Bought smaller son a Chinese for tea. BSD continues for me...
5) Phoned my school friend.11 -
Evening all
Five pleasures for this weekend:
1. Visits from DS2 yesterday and today to borrow and return my strimmer. He gave me two large flowerpots that were surplus to his needs - good swap.
2. Got the sewing machine out and had a play. Hadn't done that in ages.
3. The rose bush in the garden is getting covered in buds. When they start to come out these roses smell fantastic, really old fashioned.
4. Discovered that I could mix shredded raw spring onion, carrot and cabbage with a tamari, oil and ginger dressing and it was just lovely - uncooked stirfry! Next time I'll add garlic. I've just looked it up online and have discovered that it's a thing.
5. Finished my audio book and spent some time reserving a whole load more. Our library provides us with two different audiobook distributors which means we can order lots.
Sweet dreams

It’s Monday and it’s absolutely lashing with rain but thank goodness it’s Monday. The end is in sight…just today to get through! We’ve just been a slightly soggy walk and it’s now heavier rain so I’m glad we missed that. Went as far as the postbox ( about half our usual loop) but I’ve a poorly dog so didn’t want to go too far.Sunday we had a sniffy walk. Which because I’m feeling a bit rubbish with lurgy and realised I needed my energy for a full day at work was again a much shorter walk than normal. But he was happy sniffing and I kept some energy for rug washing later in the day!Work was busy. Tips were okay. There were more than usual on so it had to be spread further!DD2 sent me a photo with an accompanying‘I don’t know how to deal with this’ a photo of my lovely new rug in the extension covered and I mean covered in vomit. And then apparently he was sick again on the door mat at other patio doors. Poor thing. He has tried to get out. DD2 reckons it was when she was in the shower as he was with her the rest of the day. Anyway a very subdued welcome home, a very sad face, no tea and thankfully not as he then vomited on my dining room rug. I have wooden floors…vomit on them , they’ll wipe! No…all on the rugs. So I spent much of my evening scrubbing!Anyway he survived the night ( me on listening mode all night…so he slept well, me not so much)
Had a big chat with friend on phone…me who should really try and rest this voice! I phoned my mother, hello how are you? I beg your pardon? It’s me, how are you? Hmm I thought you were a man. Thanks.Chat with son on the phone…twice in one week! Wow! 😆
Have a good day 😊10
