Aw, hope doggie boy feels better soon Mhags, been there got the t-shirt on the wooden floors versus rug situation!
For yesterday,
Woke up and we had had rain so everything smelt fresh.
A morning of pottering with the radio permanently on in the background, Bradley Walsh on DID and The Unbelievable Truth etc.
Duck in orange sauce for lunch, one of our favourites, yum.
More rain come over in the afternoon, we watched and enjoyed the Women’s FA Cup then a couple more episodes of Julia, a snooze was squeezed in too!
Was hoping to see the lunar eclipse but went to bed with cloud cover and a pre-dawn wake up showed nothing had changed, shame.

1. A lie in.
2. A trip to London to watch basketball finals. We had got tickets free and had a good time. The men's match was very close.
3. Good train journey though busy with people going to Wembley to watch the Women's FA cup final. Mostly families.
4. Home and sat in the garden with a drink with DH. We had to sit under trees as it was raining.
5. Had a nice breakfast in a cafe11 -

Almost done! An early start tomorrow for a couple of hours and then I’m done for the week! Yay!Busy day.Decent tips.
Good company, banter and laughter. No more dog sick! Phew! I came home for 3/4 of an hour and then DD2 friend came in and sat with him for half an hour at 1pm. Then I was in just after 4pm…with a hello but can I please check for sick first ! He had chicken and rice for tea! As did I …with sprouts.Isn’t toilet paper expensive! The one I usually get ( supermarket own brand) has not been available for weeks and I’m down to the last few rolls so was rather forced to upbrand! Pffft! DD2 has just commented ooooh luxury loo roll…yes, it’s rationed one sheet at a time! And on voice update …slightly better but oh my throat is sore and my nose is runny! Maybe the soft loo roll will be kinder to my nose!12 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Last day pre GCSEs and smaller son went to college and did some revision...
3) I emailed the district council re council tax.
4) Phoned county council re no provision for any education for smaller son after his GCSEs. Obviously no one answered the phone or responded to my answering machine message. I note that Herefordshire County Council are on Panorama this evening, due to their appalling and dishonest way of dealing with children in care. We are 3 miles from Herefordshire and it sounds like they've modelled themselves on Worcestershire...
5) I've lost 2lbs.
6) Got some housework done and cooked and mashed potatoes ready for smaller son's shepherds pie topping tomorrow. Won't have much time this week with driving backwards and forwards to college for exams.
7) Went to the local shopping centre for a haircut and joined my fellow raven haired ladies at Beards No More.
8) Had a cup of tea in M and S cafe.
9) Got home and bigger son was here! Hadn't seen him in weeks. He had a different friend of mine in one of his groups (a corporate training thing) the other day (not the first friend that I mentioned here). This friend is something like director of climbing in the UK and it was highly unlikely that they would not only meet, but recognise each other, as my friend lives in the north west.
10) I asked bigger son what else he had been up to recently. "Well, I went to see Tom (school friend) but he was asleep so I just balanced all his stuff on him then left" !
11) Nothing more to do today now so I shall watch the Joe Wicks programme at 9.10 -
PM2DD Booo Car! Maybe next year?

thanks Admiral, just back from the pub, sniff. lol happycas re. the football season ever ending, but yes I see him quite a bit. really must get round to saying something about 'us'...
1) raining so didn't see the moon eclipse so went back to bed and had a lovely few more hours sleep
2) hot cross bun for breakfast - didn't realise i had any left but found it when going through the freezer - it was yummy (mr t finest ys)
3) it had stopped raining by the time i walked into work after lunch hooray. was a lovely walk in
4) colleague gave me a lift home (think i might have left my umbrella in her car, fortunately i have several)
5) pub for the footie, managed to get it on the big tv much to the annoyance of those who wanted to watch Newcastle arsenal - well they should have got the box put on earlier 🤣 then walked home with DrM. will miss the Liverpool match (boo) but will be in for rangers which will be heaving. we had a discussion about the ridiculousness of suggesting one could live on 30p per meal, certainly for any time, and wondered what indeed we could do for 30p (assuming we can ignore fuel costs)MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Good morning. Sunshine again after a rainy day yesterday
Went to the supermarket. First shop in two weeks and not really running out of anything except coffee, which is essential to me! And then the supermarket didn't have my favourite instant! Oh well. I'll manage!
On to outlet mall for coffee and cake. Got a MnS/Ghost dress for £15!! Will be perfect for the cruise
When we got home I decided to clean the nearly empty fridge and tins etc cupboard before putting the shopping away. Might have been a mistake because I was then worn out! But I'm glad it's done. And I found a bread mix with a sell by date of last month so will make that today.
Prawn stir fry for tea so not too difficult, and then a well earned rest.
Happy 🌞day everyone10 -
Hugs DD, many moons ago my little team pushed for the dizzy heights of the PL and I was at Filbert Street to see us get walloped by Leicester who obviously went on to much better things.
For yesterday,
Into horsey town for provisions, picked up a couple extra bags of favoured brand of bread flour for stores. Treated myself to some yellow roses as well.
Over to yard and farrier trimmed girlie’s hooves, all ok.
A pottering kind of an afternoon interspersed with doing surveys.
We also had a prawn stir fry with added cashews.
Woke up in early hours and there was the moon, full and bright.

A few days away in Cornwall with bestie and her little dog 🐶. Yesterday I introduced her to my favourite place, Cadgwith Cove. She knows Cornwall well but had never been there, soon fell under it’s magic spell.
Delicious crab 🦀 soup at the Old Cellars restaurant and the sun ☀️ came out for us. The little cottage, bottom right, is where OH and I are staying in October 😊
Rain predicted most of the day today, so not sure what we’re doing. Off to St Michael’s Mount tomorrow.
Have a lovely day 😊11
