Belated Happy Birthday wishes Villagelife 💐
For yesterday,
Rough nights sleep so it was good to get up.
Over at the stables, worked girlie in the school and we both got warm in the sunshine. She’s now in her summer paddock and it’s nice to see that she can reach over to mutually groom her next door buddy, so important for a horse.
More strength training, this time working on lower body.
Long chat with bf and plans made to meet up.
Made an egg & bacon pie which we had hot with roasted veg for tea, plenty of leftovers as well.9 -
Lots of Sammon going on!
Mhags! You eating sprouts just to get one on the Admiral?
I hear that emporium T is reducing the size of the pre cooked carp!
Free Pud!
LT Has a nip of Jack Daniels!
Egg and Bacon pie? Egg and Bacon belong inn a banjo! That shud cut it!
Made another tie curry last nite inn the pans, nought it is stainless steal and has no plastic carp on it. Usual toe nail onions as well as chunked buzzard and mushrooms! God for all!
Then mixed with paste! Red Tie.
Added flakes of chilli to taste and
Mixed with the milk of the coconut and some sweat corn! Note the spoon, not woulden, to mix the sauce up!
Served with the long grain rice, note that bashcarpi rice is just long grain at a more expensive price!
Very tasty!
Note that the pan of fry the Admiral uses is not burnt on, unlick the so called not stuck pans where the black stuff burns off!
Watched another Bond A View to a KIll. They has too plaice a warning on the picture these days to protect the wokes! Very good, fruit waters and cheese was taken!
Up early to make sure that the Albatross off to work with a delicious Edinburgh brakefest this day! Done proper as well, a 6 egg scramble! All steered inn the pan with the spoon as well! Good for the day!
No brakefest is done without a proper pot as well!
Note the defuser inn the pot for the leasf tee!
All that good food sets the Admiral, and his Albatross up for the weigh ahead!
Wordle don inn five two day!
Jen is doing her good!
On the good for the day!I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!8 -
Good morning.
Sorry I've been MIA. All the nasty covid symptoms went, but then I felt worse than ever. Completely wiped out!! Fortunately it's now lifting and I'm beginning to feel human again.
Paulie - staying in that cottage will be like living in a fairy tale. Can't wait to see the photos!
VL - Happy Birthday. Free pudding is always a good thing!
Not much happening here lately.
Had my hair cut yesterday. Feels much better now.
Finally finished hemming a skirt. I wouldn't be any good on Sewing Bee!
Made lamb kofta kebabs for tea yesterday. Couldn't find my recipe so had to make it up. They were delicious but, of course, I can never make them exactly the same again!
DH out for coffee with his friend so am about to start some long-neglected housework.
Happy Friday everyone

Belated Happy Birthday villagelife!
Admiral, I love that teacosy...
Intermittent sunshine so shall post OS pleasures whileMy family are very supportive of my family tree climbing hobby. It doesn’t get me out of the house, but it amuses me & it doesn’t cost much. Til we found a link to Piers Morgan - at which point, I desperately pointed out the almost as tenuous link to Royal Family.
Good day with colleagues - and me staying masked (paper not respirator) was not an issue.
Middleson happily scheming a ration pack buy to make camping & kayaking breaks easier. Husband equally happily scheming to add just enough to get the freebie pudding things. (Oh my chaps….)
Youngest made & brought me tea. By the pint mug. Have I mentioned recently he’s the delight of my eyes?
“Online choir” had jubilee singalong of various things including Dancing Queen, I vow to thee my country, Killer Queen & the National Anthem. Family bemused at noises from office!
Health strength love & courage to all as have need & be warned, the full National Anthem can leave you feeling breathless & patriotic!9 -
Oh no - i went AWOL again...
DforV - someone said that the difference between Zalensky and Johnson (can never call him by his middle name, it's too chummy) is that one is a Comic and the other a Clown...
Pleasures recently
1. one lot of marking finished just before the other arrived
2. cinema with my boy
3. walks with friends.
4. laundry dried on the line
5. thames path walking
6. a bizarre conversation with both OH and, separately, friend about whether you'd rather go to the pub with a duck or a swan. I'm insistent that swans are sinister (you just wouldn't trust them), but going to the pub with a duck would be a hoot! 🤣
with that, i'll bid you good evening.I wanna be in the room where it happens10 -
Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Smaller son's GCSE maths exam went well.
3) Celebratory McDonalds for him!
4) More Council silliness. They claimed not to have received the EHCP review or the name of the new college I want. I was able to find an email from them to me in October, saying thank you for both of those! So I forwarded it back to them...
I had an immediate reply to say they are going to approach three mainstream colleges and try and get him a place in one of them. To hell with what courses he might actually want/be able to do or the massive distance to travel (for one of them) OR that he basically had a breakdown after 3 days in one of them and then had 26 months out of education. Anyway, these 3 colleges all have to say they can't meet his needs. Well, the one where he ran away and locked himself in Tesco toilet will definitely say that. Lets hope the other 2 are sensible. Such a waste of everyone's time.
5) Went to the local National Trust place and saw a yellow wagtail.
6) Quite a tasty BSD recipe for my tea.
7) This will not be useful to many of you but I have booked my placehttps://www.svr.co.uk/2022/05/19/elizabeths-go-free-at-the-svrs-platinum-jubilee-event/

1. Walked my neighbours dog- he decided to take himself off home. A very stressful time for me. A lovely couple told me which way he was heading and then the owner drove to find me. The dog was fine and thankfully the owner was very understanding. It was the second time it had happened this week.
2. Met a friend for coffee at a local tea room. A good way to de stress.
3. Went for a remedial massage. It was painful but can move better now.
4. House is tidy. Pleasure is that is done and looks much better.
5. Sitting enjoying the garden.9
