Really sorry to hear about your Mum Mhags, condolences to you and your family x
Been awol again for a week or so, puppy sitting has left me with not a lot of time and shattered when I finally get some time!Recent Pleasures.
Lunch out with Mr M whilst mooching around Bridgnorth, managed to pick up a couple of books in the charity shops whilst there.
Airport parking sorted and euros collected ready for a much needed long weekend away…9 sleeps and counting.
Love cooking but don’t bake very often, but made a lemon drizzle cake and a coffee and walnut cake at the weekend. Kept half of each and sent some home with DD3 who visited at the weekend.
Fruit and veg all coming along nicely, except for the cabbages and caulis which have grown humongous leaves but no heart or flower centre….not sure what’s going on with them.
3 heated throws purchased for winter in the sale, one for home and the others are the first 2 Christmas pressies bought, 1 for dad and one for Mr M’s mum who both are getting on a bit and after a few health issues seem to really feel the cold.
Bedtime now, goodnight and sweet dreams everyone.Well Behaved women seldom make history

Mhags - so sorry about your Mum. Mine was difficult sometimes especially when I was her caretaker for the last few years - but I still miss her. Keep the good memories and let go of the bad ones when possible.14

Mhags very sorry about your Mum. Love and prayers to you and your family.
1. Interesting day - I was pinged so had to come home do a lateral flow tests - it was negative and then back to work. My clinic had been cancelled - no idea why. I still managed to see more patients than most.
2. Messages with a friend.
3. Enjoyed tea of baked veg - DH not too keen.
4. Managed to avoid the rain when out. Enjoyed watching the storm.
At work looking out of one window a blue sky and our of the other window an incredibly dark sky.
5. Another clue solved in DS1 birthday present to me.13 -

sorry to hear about your mum Mhags, as you say these things, even when expected are still a shock. Sending hugs. Puts my difficult day into perspective. but 3 angels in my life (mum, plumber friend, gbf)
1) started off to ninewells, phoned cosupervisor to check where we were meeting student, student still in London so did a round walk back home, was lovely sunshine so good start to the day (good cos morning of grim meetings where i'm trying to sort things with staff who are exhausted and overstretched))
2) sat in the garden to eat my lunch - 10 minutes in the rain came on but at least I got 10 minutes
3) mum arrived and we went to mr T cos I couldn't go Sunday and milk and dog food running low 😯 - we started with a coffee in Costa and I had enough beans for a free coffee - i had a large latte 😋 with fuel costs so high put packs of flavoured cooked rice into the food bank. then dog, cut short by more heavy rain
4) had to phone gbf, wandered into the bathroom (no idea why, maybe guided by an invisible angel?) and realised loo pipe leaking - water everywhere, dripping through kitchen ceiling. Phoned newish friend from pub who happened to give me his card (plumber) last Friday - he must have had a premonition! he was doing his last job of the day, called in on his way home, leak stopped, part ordered
5) then dd2 called - Scotrail cancelled all evening trains, would be stuck in Edinburgh at 22:20 (last bus 20:35 so too tight to get to bus station) - gbf phoned to check re plumbing and offered to pick her up, sweetheart. dd2 gets travel sick so i sat in the back coming home and dozed off
