Just caught up with the thread, some lovely pleasures been shared.
Frith, I was mooching around the charity shops in Ludlow this weekend but didn’t buy anything. Although I did get the purse out at the liquorice stall at the market. I was working there and we had some free time on the Saturday afternoon, hotel was very nice too.
so some pleasures from me.
1. Back home and no more working weekends until the end of June ……yippee.
2. Mr M had painted the shed and fence panels while I was away….earned some brownie points.
3. Lovely Sunday roast with all the trimmings, made an apple crumble for pud, but to full to eat it. (Yet)!
4. Rob the robin (I know, not very original) followed me around the garden and was given some treats….almost tame enough, but not quite to eat from my hand.
5. Bottle of wine on the go, day off tomorrow, so why not.Well Behaved women seldom make history

Hello. A very , very rare Sunday off .Lovely early doggy walk.Went to B &Q for paint ( tiny pot as just needed it for touching up where I’m taking old blinds down. ) but may also have bought some RTC plants. Marguerites x 7 and foxgloves x 2. Found some coins on ground next to car, second time that has happened this week!Chat to friend on phone.
I wrote a list of all the things I wanted to get done so ticked them all off.Peas and sweet peas planted. Grass cut. Washing out and back in ( rain forecast for most of the coming week) Hoovered and floors washed. Downstairs loo cleaned.Made a kind of rice and veggies creation for late lunch.13 -
Yesterday was supposed to be our first day camping in a few years, but due to many, many reasons ironically, we have had to postpone, they were very understanding, and we are still hoping to get there soon, but it does mean I will have to make a cake for DH’s birthday tomorrow.
1 Something just came up on the bay for DH’s birthday, it won’t arrive in time but hopefully he won’t mind, I have a few small bits for him to open. I also need to get some bits together to make him a cake, i.e. defrost some butter.
2 Mowed the garden.
3 Build your own dinner, chicken, rice, salad, salsa, wraps etc.
4 I tried to get on with de cluttering but the weather was so nice I ended up sitting in the garden, I read for half and hour and then just sun bathed for a half hour before getting off my bum and making cranberry scones instead of anything on the mental to do list.
For today
1 As we aren’t away as planned got on and made Nigellas chocolate cake which I swear just adds calories for fun, I mean who adds treacle to butter cream? But I did I followed all of the recipe to the book, is it food science or just calories, but hopefully tastey.
2 Wrote tomorrows to do list, the pleasure being it’s tomorrow.
3 Filled the bird feeders and saw the woodpecker. Watered the garden.
4 Offered DH the options of two fab places to eat at, but he wants to order in and watch the da Vinci code so that’s what we are doing.
5 Enjoying watering the garden and watching the new flowers start up, also noting I have a fair bit of gardening to do tomorrow.

3) Stuck to the BSD and had a tasty curry for tea. Smaller son made his signature linguine dish.
4) Went out in the afternoon to local garden centre/cafe and planned the tasks I have to do this week (many and varied). Had a cup of tea then looked at the plants.
5) Phoned my school friend.
6) Bigger son messaged to say one of the groups he had taken zip wiring at work this afternoon included one of my old school friends!13 -
1. Over 200 present for a 2-years delayed Memorial service yesterday for one of our centenarians. Widow still with us.🤲 Brilliant and thoroughly likeable K stayed busy all his life, a great gardener too, same initial and talents as our current centenarian. The whole occasion really was an osp, with so much pleasure and laughter as we all remembered K, his long, busy, active life, his daily tincture enjoyed.....😇🥃 Was still delivering village mag. at 98!
2. Have now potted up 20 sprouting walnuts. 8 more found all over the place today - 😃👏👍 Figs have not long had their bedtime bucketful. They're fattening up. Need more big size pots to plant fig leftovers next.
3. Good Church, with another great playlet from the young peeps. Noah's Ark today. 'I spy with my little eye, something beginning with W... '😁🌊🏞
4. In birthdays and things to be thankful for, 'Well, mine was last week.....but I'm only 98'. She's another cracker - and another K! Was busy washing up after teas and coffees today.
5. Lots of garden-y work generally and planting this arvo. Late sowing of Black Crimea cherry toms, more sprouty pommes de terre and trying cucamelons, apparently a bit of a James Wong fave. & does like James Wong.🙂💚.

1. Had a coffee first thing in the garden. Lie read some of my book. It was so peaceful.
2. Spent most of the day in the garden. I cleared a small area and dug up brambles where they had become entwined with a rose. I did get some scratches but it's done now and looks much better.
3. My tomato plants are growing well and so are cucumbers which generally I'm not good at growing.
4. A glass of wine in the garden with DH at the end of the day.
5. Arranging an evening when we can see both sons. Proving difficult may need to see them separately.12
