Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Handyman here to fix bits and pieces. It is great to have these jobs done but I must say, I think my filling and painting is better!
3) Got smaller son from college and he was OK.
4) Went to M and S for a pot of tea. Emails back and forth with a college that might just accept smaller son (if he deigns to go and the county council deign to fund it).
5) Very tasty BSD tea. Fry a pork loin a bit, put on plate. Then fry sliced apple and leeks (same pan), add 200ml stock, reduce, add couple of tbsp creme fraiche. Chuck pork back in for a bit.

Good morning. Dark and rainy here.
PK - great news about Bourneville. You're an excellent nurse.
Frith - well done on the weight loss. Think I will check out the BSD.
On Monday we went to DGS birthday party, the first one he's been able to have in 2 years. It was so good to be all together and to be allowed inside too!
Yesterday was back to shopping, cooking , cleaning. We're trying to empty the freezer. It's self defrosting, in theory, but we've started to get a mini frozen lake in the bottom. You tube has explained what to do but we need to get to the back and it's too heavy to move when full. Need to be able to fit all the contents into 2 cool bags so a bit to go yet.
A wren had made a nest in a small thin conifer in our garden. We didn't know it was there until we saw it hanging out of the tree, with the eggs on the ground. There's a nest box about two feet away! Don't know what had pulled it out but it was sort of ragged apart. Poor Jenny wren😥
Today was going to be a trip to a market town nearby but it's raining properly now so that might be off.
Happy rainy day everyone10 -

Busy day with errands and chores, first into horsey town for provisions, visited two SM’s and the post office.
A well known trainer always rides out with his string and today his horse was marching along with a big bit of hedge dangling from his mouth.
Garden centre for compost, grit and the such, somehow five plants also jumped into my trolley, a rock rose, 3 herbs and a tray of strawberry plants. All except the strawbs planted out.
Long chat with my bf, funnily enough she was also out in the garden.
Tasty tea, salmon with green veg.10 -

What have I done today?Started off with a very wet doggy walk, though rains stopped mid morning and washing was hung out and dried. Not in any way warm.Chatted to sister as I pottered around tidying kitchen.Did some more dolls house painting.Went to cinema to see Downton. It was all rather splendid and rather funny too! And I did not go to the nearby shopping area! Restraint! However I was hungry by the time I got home and had pasta with salad for lunch. Then round to my mothers. And chatted to her specialist nurse on the phone.10

First swim for over 2 years yesterday followed by meeting friend in pub for lunch.
Lots of pleasures today on a walk with my sister at another part of the country park:
a muntjac, 🐥 ducklings, cooties, little egrets and later on at the park, tiny little balls of fluff, 6 moorhen babies, so cute. We finished our walk in rain and decided to go to the cafe in the park for lunch, but the kitchen was closed for refurbishment, so had to settle for a cappuccino.
Hopefully going to the coast tomorrow if the weather is ok as it’s OHs day off.
