1. So blessed are we with this Vicar. Great address today and X on organ, plus his fantastic🎵extras at end and duties went well.
2. Fête des Muguets in &'s sacred hexagone, where & should be, but at least &'s are blooming and throwing their gorgeous scent.
3. An extra village service this arvo. No duties, so could simply listen, sing, enjoy. Had never heard of Christopher Tin until we joined in Baba Yetu:https://youtu.be/IJiHDmyhE1A
4. Roasted a medium VERY rtc emporium chicken yesterday, to have during day, with a ditto lettuce. No chance to eat it then, but yum at lunch today.
5. Another surprise wedding invitation. This will be a wonderful day.

Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Bigger son reappeared again.
3) Tasty BSD food today. Roast beetroot, figs and feta for lunch. Yesterday's meatballs and sauce in a wrap for tea, with salad and l.o Boursin.
4) Looked round a NGS garden this afternoon. A nice spot, around a 400 year old cottage surrounded by Bulmer's apple orchards. It wasn't too my taste, having 5 fancy sheds, at least 10 seats in arbours and arches and about 57 different "rooms". I'd have to clear all that stuff and have space to move about! But it was well stocked and cared for with wonderful views.
5) In bed watching tv now.13 -

Its mixed emotions this weekend, we did have plans but a critically ill old ferret has put pay to that as he needs feeding every 2 hours
1 Picked up 2 £1.50 veg boxes from lidl which was lovely and also mixes it up a bit.
2 Picked up fresh raw chicken for our poorly Bournville, Salmonella has hit the household, so we are trying to be very hygienic but suspect it will hit us all, but it’s made our oldest ferret critically ill, the vets have been amazing, we agreed he wouldn’t cope with being hospitalised and are happy to feed him every couple of hours. He walked about today for the first time in 3 days. Phew keep going buds.

Good morning. Rather grey today.
Quiet, plodding day yesterday. More spring cleaning! More ironing. Done for now so that's a pleasure.
Chicken wrapped in bacon for tea. Had bought purple sprouting broccoli on Sat and put it in a green veg bag in the fridge. When I got it out yesterday some of it was yellow flowering broccoli! I put the 3 most flowery sprigs in a little vase on the dining table. It's very pretty.
Started the bunting, spurred on by seeing some in GH magazine that costs £110!! No that's not a typo. £110. For bunting! It looks very pretty, jubilee themed, but even if I won the lottery.............
Happy Bank Holiday everyone

Hope Bournvill continues to improve 🤞
For yesterday,
Awake early again, no bumble this time just awake so early morning cuddles with small dog.
Breakfast, Archers omnibus then out to the garden, fed all the herb pots and dug over a bed ahead of mulching, had my usual Robin companion.
Saw my first swallow, they come back every year to nest under the roof of the old barn, how appropriate for Mayday.
Back in to listen to Unbelievable Truth and prepare lunch, did a meatloaf which was tasty if a little crumbly as ‘someone’ forgot to put in stuffing mix.
Watched the new film version of Blithe Spirit, frothy and a bit silly but Dame Judi held the whole thing together.
Evening walk then home to olives, cheese and wine.

Ampersand Toulon came through and won I saw.
PK I hope bournville improves - you I've all of them so much love and time.
1. A trip to a garden centre. Enthralling round and didn't buy too much and persuaded DH to buy smaller, cheaper plant as they will grow.
2. Rain was forecast which the garden needs but not enough rain to make any difference here. Water butts are almost empty - all 6 of them.
3. Reported my rosemary shrub to a larger pot and drying bag leaves as DH pruned the bay tree.
4. My flowers from the garden looking good still.
5. Met DH cousin and husband - great evening. In way home dropped some forms in at letting agents which saved postage.9 -
Hello
Frith - roast beetroot figs and feta sounds right up my street.

Pleasures for yesterday
1. coffee with friends at railway
2. More comedy festival - Rosie Jones (foul mouthed, funny), RObin Morgan (not quite so foul mouthed, equally funny)
3. Festival food - veggie fritters and salad
4. But we were festivalled out and came home for tea - although i'd not bought any tea so it was egg and chips all round
5. then OH and i went back to a 'do' at the railway. Band were dreadful (well, the singer was, the band were good) but fun was had by all.
All quiet here now as DD and OH have just left.
