Afternoon folks,
pleasures for today.
1. Enjoying a lazy bank holiday, doing not much at all other than watching the snooker and relaxing.
2. Chicken in the slow cooker, veg prepped and ready to go later.
3. A much brighter day and two loads of washing line dried and bird bath cleaned and feeders replenished.
4. Managed to fix the mortgage rate for another 3 years, so at least one bill isn’t going to go up if interest rates rise.

Oooft at a very busy day at work!Rubbish sleep and slightly struggled getting up but of course I did.Had a lovely long walk with doggy. Thank goodness for light mornings.
In at work for 7am. Busy busy busy but hurrah tis done!Decent tips…not in the jam jar yet as DD2 phoned and said what are we doing for tea…me…blooming chilli ( finally finished) oh can you get me chips? And the card machine wasn’t working so i
had to use my tips! so she’s got her piggy bank out to give me cash! Tip money is different from normal bank money!
Chilli and rice for tea ( note to self don’t make as much next time!) she doesn’t like it and I’d no room in my freezer ( thanks to parsnips and leftover baked potatoes 😆😆) DD2 had to let off steam about something so I just ate and ate!12 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Bigger son here so we had a chat until it was time for him to go mountain biking with his friends.
3) We went to Leamington to watch our team play football. Not the best result for us this time. About 50 young lads from our end crept round to the home end then started singing our sounds and throwing beach balls around! No harm done but a police car screeched up outside and ushered them all out in the road (!!) Then, as we were all trying to drive out, they had to usher them back in again!
4) Stratford absolutely gridlocked so we drove back over Broadway/Pershore etc.
5) Lost 9lbs.11 -
Frith, thats a lot of weight lost, I hope you are feeling fabulous for it.
Bourneville update, he’s eating us out of house and home, so far today he’s had 2 ferret boxes of chicken, and the meds every 2 hours, he’s now up and walking about of his own accord, touching wood he’s looking good.
1 I planted up 2 hanging baskets, one I put up and its chains broke as I hung it. So, I gathered it up and re planted it, see gardening is one of those things I try but I am not a natural.
2 Its our anniversary today, 17 years ago in Canada we were getting married, aww doesn’t feel like that long ago…
3 Easy foods today freezer to oven pizza and chicken pieces.
4 Started on sorting out the office and de cluttering a bit, it needs de cluttering a lot will continue with it tomorrow.
5 I’ve just noticed I’ve only just seen series 1 of Serlock let alone the next ones, I’m happy.

Happy anniversary PK 😊
Cooked a whole Chicken in a roasting bag on Saturday with lemon, garlic and thyme. Had it with chips and homemade coleslaw, then roast and all the trimmings on Sunday, chicken, mushroom, leek and carrot pie yesterday and made chicken and veg soup! All delicious, will do that again.
Went to see film, Operation Mincemeat on Saturday, used my Tesco clubcard vouchers ( getting my MSE bits in on this post!). It was quite good but I thought it was a bit too long in the set up.Lovely walk with friend yesterday to weir on the Country Park. My first sighting of goslings this year, adorable. Also heard a nightingale sing 🎶 and saw a bar tailed godwit, an oyster catcher and a green shank through my binoculars, thanks to some twitchers over there 😊
Have a great Tuesday everyone 😊10 -
Happy anniversary PK seems good news about bournville.
1. Lie in for me after a fairly good night's sleep.
2. Made Spanish omelette early so it was ready after a day in the garden.
3. Planted up a couple of hanging baskets and some pots. More need to be done though.
4. DH trimmed a few shrubs and tidied up after himself.
5. Went to a local garden society. An interesting talk and spoke with a couple of people.9 -
Happy Anniversary PK
For yesterday,
Eggy bread for breakfast, nice treat.
Over to the stables, plans to meet up with pal didn’t quite work out and my girlie was feeling switched off in the school so we had a little wander around the paddocks followed by a pamper session.Home and still full from brekkie so went straight out into the garden to mulch beds and do some digging.
The weather was nicer than forecasted and we had some sunshine, sat to enjoy my efforts and could smell the apple blossom plus the May from the hedge alongside the field.
Easy tea of leftover meatloaf and garlic mushrooms.8 -

Pleasures for yesterday
1. the three of us went for brekkie at railway cafe (well, they had brekkie, i only had coffee as i couldn't wait)
2. we then did a circuit by the sea
3. They left and i tried to crack on with marking - finished the assignments
4. Started the dissertations but was hard going. Still starting is key
5. Salmon, spuds, and veg for tea - probs the same again tonight.
6. watched some of the Johnny Depp trial - i'm fascinated by the process, the questioning and cross-examining rather than the salacious detail.I wanna be in the room where it happens11 -

Hello. Been a showery day though had a dry very early doggy walk. Just us and the birds which was nice. Then out with a friend in the morning. Much rain by this time. Had lunch. (Salad) then dropped her home and I went a lap round the big park in town. Saw baby moorhens and 3 rats! I’ve never seen rats there however I probably don’t walk that bit with the dog. Bit waaah!Popped down to charity shop at far side of town as I’d seen a pretty tea set the other day and was of the mindset of it was still there it was meant to be. It was there. Also got another tee shirt. And home and hello doggy, I know I’m a bit longer than I’d thought but all good! He’d just been snoozing!Brightened up slightly by this time ( as in dry) watered the greenhouse plants. Potted up a plant I’d got in l!dl the other day, hoping it climbs up the archway in the garden. First flower on the courgette in the greenhouse.Made dinner. Hmmm. It was okay but not great. Ate it anyway!Just joined odeon limitless as I want to see Downton tomorrow/Thursday. Had canceled a couple of other subscriptions recently. Just taken out a 3 month one and will see if it’s worth the money. Or it goes!9
