Good morning. We don't seem to have any weather at all today. Kinda calm and neutral so far.
Yesterday, however, came beautifully bright and sunny until teatime when a sea fret rolled in.
We had a long walk, but didn't see any dolphins. They'll be waiting until we go home!
Popped to pound shop for some food storage boxes. They've been 5 for £1 for ages. Now they're £1.25 !! There's inflation for you!!
Been up a while watching the rabbits. There's hardly anybody else here now
and so the rabbits obviously feel safe. They help to keep the grass trimmed!
Happy Monday everyone

Your afternoon tea sounds lovely Villagelife
For yesterday,
Despite clocks springing forward I was still awake early so got up to make a cuppa and enjoyed cuddles with small dog.
Bacon butties and catching up on all things Ambridge.
Over to drop chaff off at the stables and visit pony, she was asleep in the sun when I walked up to her field and stayed on the ground while her human slave delivered a carrot ☺️We were going to eat lunch in the garden but wind had changed direction and it was a tad chilly so indoors it was, nap afterwards.
Enjoying my book.11 -
I have got the dreaded Covid and one of the things I now really appreciate is being able to sit outside in my garden in the lovely weather we have been experiencing and feeling the sunshine on my body whilst enjoying a cup of tea and listening to the birds singing and the buzzing of the bumblebees on the Pieris bush next to my chair on the patio. It's not nice having to isolate from the world but at least the zero cost of the lovely weather and the wildlife makes this drudgery a little better!12

And the huuuge days are done ( a couple of early shifts to do but that’s okay, I’m in and out and home by 7am)
Felt like I was chasing my tail half the day! So busy yesterday that I’d all that stuff to remake for today and have enough prepped for tomorrow.Tips were pitiful! But more than I had in my pocket this morning. However I did bring a leftover meringue home! Each week on a Monday I lift a little handful of celebrations ( from Christmas) and put them in my pinny pocket! They get me through the last hour of closing! The girls were laughing at me today and saying just take the tub ( I was moaning that all the good ones had gone) it’s only me that eats them! However I would just sit and guzzle them if I had them at home…these ones have lasted 3 months 😁
Moved a bit of garden furniture around …had actually contemplated cutting the grass but think that would be a step too far after a busy day! ( rains a coming!)
And shall be dining out tonight with DD2. Pre birthday dinner!13 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hen OK.
3) 2 beds changed and washing done.
4) Popped to Sainsburys then B and Q.
5) Social Care phoned but won't help. They wouldn't help last year either. They did give me the email address for the mysterious and un-contactable SEND post 16 education person. Emailed them. No reply. Tried (third time) to get information from college about smaller son's GCSE provision. He is allowed a reader (I think), extra time, his own room and a laptop. The deadline for applying for these extras is the end of March. Again, no reply. Contacted Mencap about a supported internship. I did in fact contact them first in 2018 and, guess what, never received a reply...
In a year or two, when we have still received zero help, I can at least say I contacted everyone I should have, at least 3 times over in different ways! Oh yes, I also emailed SENDIASS a week or so ago who said they would phone. They haven't.
6) My friend from sixth form college was successful in applying for a rather marvellous job.
7) Tasty tea of potato salad, salmon, carrots and a lemon and dill sauce.

For yesterday
1 Going throu photo’s while writing a little remembrance thing, I do this as its scarey the quirks and things that go to the back of your mind, it’s nice to make a note, while going throu the photo’s I got distracted by all sorts of photos and videos we’ve taken.
2 Bacon and poached egg roll for brekkie, with build your own wraps grilled chicken, rice and salad made more interesting.
3 Food stocks are run down, I suspect we will have to venture out next week and see what’s what.
4 Lots to do but it will all still be there tomorrow, looking forward to lighter days now.
For today
1-500 Back on Christmas eve, my engagement ring was loose, it fell off and I had no idea whereabouts in the house I lost it que an awful lot of searching, metal detecting, camera checking mattress lifting, but nothing, over 3 months on now I was giving up hope. Today I went to replace the sandwich bag box, I took the box out to replace it with the new one, and there it was, the relief is just palpable, it’s the only piece of jewellery I had left from our burglary a couple of years ago. Many prayers answered.
2 Cooked up a bolognaise, tonight’s portion I turned into chilli which was lovely, leaving tomorrows which is spag bol.
3 My car is extremely loaded up for a tip run.
4 I’ve just ordered us a microwave to replace our long broken one we can’t carry on without it now.

Good morning
Ampersand - Are you ok? I hope it's useless connections / being very busy keeping you away and that all is well.
Another long walk yesterday but still didn't see dolphins. It was so misty we couldn't see the headland so not much hope really! But we enjoyed our walk.
Tried out a new cafe in town with a sort of side view of the harbour and it was good.
Had a wander to look at the new caravans for sale. They're lovely but, phew, How Much!!?? Prices went up with a bump when people couldn't go abroad but I can't see them staying that high for much longer. We'll stick with our very basic, but everything we need, one.
Grey again today but another walk soon. Building DH strength back up post op.
Happy Tuesday everyone
