Good morning. Another beautiful day.
D Doll - that sounds very scary. And I know logically why we can't go in waiting rooms etc with relatives, and I even agree with it, but it does make it more stressful! So glad she's ok 😀
I was sitting in the car yesterday outside the doctor's surgery, waiting for DH when my cousin in Canada rang! And he didn't even mean to ring me! The funny thing is I had done exactly the same to him about a month ago! Anyway, we had a good chat. They're coming over in May so plans to be made there. Might even ring each other deliberately!
Made a sort of meatball stew yesterday. It was going to be a tomato type sauce but then there were lots of bits lurking in fridge and freezer - spinach, cooked new potatoes, broccoli, etc - so they went in too. It was delicious but can never be replicated😂
One pleasure in the far from pleasurable news, the little girl, Amelia, who sang Let It Go in the bomb shelter, singing the Ukrainian national anthem to a packed arena. Heart breaking but heart warming too.
Happy 🌞 day everyone12 -
Crikey DD, scary stuff but I’m glad DD is feeling a bit better.
For yesterday,
A frosty and sparkling start to the day.
Normal Monday chores, shopping, washing and made a loaf, the sunshine makes everything feel better.
Worked my girlie in the school and we both got warm.
Monday tea is usually bit of a freezer dive but I managed to pick up a piece of rtc salmon so we had that with roasted veg and enough leftover for lunch today.9 -

Afternoon all
Belated happy Ostara from me.
mehefin, that flashmob was beautiful (and made me cry as well). Thanks so much. (Young Ukranian girl's singing in the stadium was beautiful, too.)
DD, keeping fingers crossed that all continues well for DD.
Five pleasures since I last posted:
1) Miles behind everyone but, at last, I've caught up on Call the Midwife - several days of watching double episodes. That was a treat but was making me cry too. I'm going through a weepy sort of a time right now but am ok, just think I need it
2) Gas boiler packed in on Friday and it's still not fixed but, since I've been living with minimal heating anyway, I've barely noticed it.
3) Leftovers from last night's supper for lunch.
4) Going on a couple of wonderful local history walks in the sunshine last weekend.
5) The smell of a huge armful of line dried washing yesterday afternoon, probably one of the nicest smells in the world.
Have a lovely rest of Tuesday,
B x
