3) dd2 was going to hoop so I asked Mr G if the boys and I could join him for a walk in Camperdown - he said yesand we had a lovely long walk then he gave us a lift home
4) back for the 2nd half of the Scotland match, got half the house cleaned (amazing how a kick-off focussing the mind!) then the England Wales match, amazing 2nd half. oh and Luton got 3 points

2 Watching a movie via catch up.
3 I went to cook our food and it was still frozen solid, DH was desperate for ordering in, so we ordered Chinese, and it was lovely, leftovers will be lunch tomorrow.
4 DH surprised me with a little gift a metal humbug pin badge, I was saying to him how much I miss him the other day, I promptly burst into happy tears, I really miss him.

Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Vaguely tidied up the house and did a load of washing.
3) Hens OK.
4) My brother came round and we dug up all the pebbles in the garden, laid some new weedproofing then put the pebbles back down. That took about 2 hours.
5) Listened to the football this afternoon but Harriers lost. We have got used to them winning nearly all the time!
6) Booked the train tickets to Gateshead next weekend, at great expense. I phoned the hotel to ask if they could change our room to one with two beds. They were very helpful but kept having to put me on hold to sort various things out. I didn't complain (just had a cup of tea!) but they came back to say they would include a complimentary breakfast!
7) This week's fruit and veg box has just arrived so I will have a look at it in a second.
8) Watched a double bill of Casualty.11 -
Yes, can see the time, but it doesn't feel relevant right now.

1. Repeat listening to wonderful Barry Cryer, RIP, in several programmes, ditto Spike Milligan.
2. More to and fro calls with former CS colleague re: husband in hospital. Dialysis begun, transfer to special unit awaited.
🙏+🤲+🤞.
3. Late Friday Night Lights rugby. Our 3rds walloped by unannounced 1st XV opponents, 32-7. Not the🏉way. As for the U12s curtain-raisers......my goodness! Many of them are already easily a foot taller than &!😁
4. A. remembered to return &'s red leather gloves last night.👏
5. Have done nothing really worky today and feel no guilt. Early start Food Run pick-ups yesterday, plus follow-up biz. Wasn't in till after midnight, so..... rugby listening and reading filled the day.

Daylight is just creeping in over the rooftops. Just about to take doggy out. He has a sore paw/leg though nothing obviously wrong. Just limping. Hmmmm. So will just be a quick wander to do his business.
yesterday we were up and at ‘em early. DD2 had some things to return to a shop so we were there for it opening at 8am. I honestly cannot be bothered with clothing shops! Then popped in to HB on way back for soap powder and also got some sweet pea seeds. Then home. And a dog who wasn’t limping then.Rest of day spent quietly. Hoovered downstairs again. Cleaned the fire. Watched some more episodes of Chicago fire, I’m very nearly caught up on current series ! Started when I was self isolating in December!DD2 and Beau came home with some lovely food. I’d ordered. They picked up and we all ate! Was yummy and much chatter and good natured banter and laughter. Then went to bed early as oooft it’s a day for work. Though I don’t need to go in too early this morning which is nice.Have a good day 😊12 -
For yesterday, my birthday ☺️Capt S had brought my cards with him so opened those plus some very thoughtful, as always, pressies from him.Lovely breakfast, fresh fruit salad followed by warm croissants.
Went out to visit local abbey ruins, interesting stuff.
Quick visit back to holiday cottage to feed small dog as stupidly forgot to bring with us, then on to Holkham for a long walk on beach. Sunny but bracing think you would call it but felt marvellous to be beside the seaside again.
Picked up fish & chips on the way home, small dog had a few chips too, sleepy after all the exercise but managed to keep eyes open long enough to watch programme about Mr Springsteen, one of my favs12 -
Good afternoon. A most beautiful spring day here after a very frosty start.
Happy birthday Lainey, with lots of cake, I hope x
D Doll - have found a Marion Todd book for my kindle for under £2 ( my limit for book purchases. I read so much that I can't afford any more!) Thank you.
Met DD at garden centre so that she could chose a plant and pot for her birthday. And of course, had coffee and cake.
She told us that a local Ukrainian group are sending a lorry to Poland with clothes, bedding etc for refugees. So our afternoon will now be given over to sorting out what we can donate. So grateful to be given a chance to do something, however little.
Happy spring has sprung day everyone

Many happy returns, Lainey
We'll not mention the rugby DD - still, Cymru am Byth...
pleasures for yesterday
1. Paint was put on the walls of the new spare room (DS's old room). It was left over from the work we had done last year so cost nowt. I also cleaned a load of windows that had been bugging me.
2. washed my hair - it had felt minging
3. a g and t by the fire (watching rugby)
4. walked to DD's for a curry (we paid, of course 🙄😂) - I think she enjoyed 'hosting' though
5. DS got back safe and sound from watching the Villa - he has had a cold on top of the new job so was rather kna**ered. Glad he didn't go clubbing after.
And today
1. Slept in till 7 - fairly unheard of
2. a lazyish start to the morning but then we went and did the gloss in the spare room
3. I bought a pair of bedside tables off marketplace and spent a couple of hours sanding them down and giving them a coat of paint.
4. Steak for tea (anticipated pleasure)
5. maybe the cinema later or Peaky Blinders!
have a great evening all.I wanna be in the room where it happens12
