Belated anniversary wishes to the Albatross and her salty old sea dog.
For yesterday,
A holiday treat of smoked salmon for breakfast.
Out to Holt, good look round this nice little Georgian town, visited a bakery and shared what had to be the best cinnamon bun ever, small dog had a tiny morsel too.
Out to the coast and long walk at Saltmarshes, made me think of Ruth HappyCas and her isolated cottage.
Visited Cley and memories of my M&D when we stayed there years ago.
The rain came over in the afternoon so lots of reading back at the cottage.

Morning all. I'm looking back in again, although I have been reading on and off. I think I really need to be anchoring myself in as many pleasures, positives and prayers as possible right now - have been feeling increasingly adrift!
Belated happy birthday Laineyand big congrats to the Admirals
.
So five recent pleasures:
1. Breakfast in bed.
2. Batch cooked and froze eight portions of soya mince pasta last night.
3. Good chats with both DSs last night on the phone.
4. Lovely, energetic and happy message from someone in the village who is collecting for a Polish community-organised lorry-load of stuff. Will get my small donations to them today.
5. It's now March which means that the days will be getting warmer - won't it?!
Hope all your Shrove Tuesday pancakes are numerous and delicious.

Good morning. A beautiful sunrise as I write. Chilly though.Yesterday was filled with so many nice things. It marked five years since my lovely husband died. I can’t quite believe it’s five years. It has honestly gone in the blink of an eye. I just kind of assume he’s still around and still talk and write to him. So, so missed and still a huge gap in our lives.DD2s car had to be dropped off at garage . So the dog and I followed her down, dropped her off and then we went to the beach. It was a beautiful drive. ( don’t mind that drive as I know the way😆) once out our town it’s countryside all the way and it was just stunning. Beach was almost empty and tide was way out. Was still quiet early. Had a lovely walk then back to car.First of the daffodils flowering in the garden. So many signs of new growth.2 loads of washing hung out.Friend was taking me for lunch which was nice.Home and prepped for dinner ( whilst still stuffed with lunch ) made a lasagna with RTC mince, RTC milk, we had leftover from work baked potatoes and parsnips, cabbage, sprouts, peas and carrots.Friends came for Tuesday tea along with The Beau. Dinner was lovely. Company was good. Much chatter and laughter. Gentle ribbing of the Beau which he took in good stead!Pancakes for pudding!Lovely messages from friends checking in on me through the day.Beautiful flowers. I’d treated myself to a lovely posy of spring flowers then my friends daughter chose the same one for me.And whilst five years have passed and my husband is so missed still I think he’d be so proud of us all still keeping on at keeping on. And five years ago I could never have imagined five years ahead!Have a lovely day. I’ve a hundred and one things to do today! Including make a house sparkle…we have visitors tomorrow!12

Good morning. It looks as if our lovely springlike weather has gone and it's back to grey! But It was good while it lasted and I got lots of washing dry.
Congratulations to the admirable Admirals. Enjoy your fish'n'chips.
Lainey - it sounds like a wonderful holiday. Strangely we've been to Kings Lynn and to Lowestoft but seem to have missed Norfolk out! Must remedy that, especially to see Ruth's area!
Walked to the village yesterday for my prescription. First decent walk I've had in ages and I enjoyed it too.
Gas service done ( very nice man!) And supermarket delivery arrived; all present and correct except for ice cream. I suppose we'll cope somehow!
Nice big batch of chilli made. Some for tea and some to freeze.
DH took out ND neighbour to pick up his car after its MOT. First time he's driven since his operation. So glad things are getting back to normal
Happy Wednesday everyone11 -
Not a bad day.
1. A beautiful sunrise. Lovely red sky. The weather deteriorated after that and was foggy and set for the rest of the day.
2. Worked at different site with a couple of people who are ok to work with. A fairly busy day but it went quickly.
3. Daffodils at the end of the road look really good and cheerful.
4. Pancakes with lemon and sugar. I had mentioned pancakes at work and both colleagues had forgotten.
5. Lit candles.10 -
Hugs Mhagster ,well done your DH would be so proud of you .
