For today,
Lie-in then warm croissants for breakfast.
Annual house meeting, bit of a tradition as we swap over dates from last years calendar to this and talk about possible hols etc, yes please!
Another incredibly mild day, time spent tidying up the garden.
Hello pony, she was very sleepy in her stable and dozed off as I was grooming her.
Watched and enjoyed the last episode of Outlaws, which we had sort of forgotten about.

Virtual hugs to all who need them.
For the past couple of days.
1. A meal out in London on New years eve. A good meal.
2. Walking round London - it was fairly quiet and some restaurants were closed.
3. Time in the garden. A bonfire.
4. Chat with neighbours.
5. Spoke with both sons on the phone.12 -
Hugs to DfV
It was mild and sunny yesterday morning so after OH got back from paper delivery and visit to parents, we went for walk around local lake. He doesn’t come very often as he works over at the Country Park and walks miles every day on a gamy leg! I haven’t been walking lately, but took it slowly and enjoyed it.
Met neighbours and their dog over there and also friend who usually walks with me, so stopped for a chat and ended up inviting her for lunch today as she will be on her own.
Saw 2 foxes dashing out of the undergrowth, probably explains why we don’t see any rabbits there anymore.
Home and prepped dinner then watched tv, we’re watching Close to You and enjoying it so hope it doesn’t turn rubbishy like some of the series we’ve watched recently.
Chicken Kiev for dinner followed by mince pies and Baileys. This has got to stop, fortunately they’re almost finished!
have a lovely Sunday everyone 😊12 -
Good afternoon
Thinking of you DfV
DH is home. He rang me from hospital about 8pm yesterday and asked if someone could pick him up.
When? I said.
Now! he said!!
So DS and I did just that and here he is
District nurse came this morning and rigged up an IV drip using a coat hanger and the curtain rail.( just for the 10 minutes or so it took to run through). She'll be back tomorrow then that's it. Which actually leaves more questions than answers but we'll contact GP on Tuesday I think to see what happens next.
Anyway, I'm so glad he's home , and actually quite well, that I'll cross other bridges as I meet them.
Thank you for the virtual support. It is much appreciated.
Happy Sunday (?) everyone12 -

Another day !Been a nice day here . Washing hung out and another good blow. Almost dry.
Another bucket for the garden bin. Bulbs peeking out. Rhubarb keeking through.Ate leftover steak pie etc for late lunch. So didn’t need a tea. Finally got results back and definitely positive, which I know! Have had a headache since Wednesday. And a scratchy throat which isn’t sore, just scratchy. Anyway stuck in for a further five days.11 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) A lie in.
2) Bigger son and his girlfriend came round.
3) Hens OK and one egg today.
4) Carried on using up leftovers. Bigger son polished off the NYE fruit flan, the chocolate coins and nearly all the cheese. I used half the mushrooms with garlic for my lunch. Made meatballs with spaghetti and tomato sauce for tea then later a banana loaf with some raspberries mixed in.
5) Smaller son and I went to Tesco where he made me laugh a lot walking round! We then left to hear, "Miss Frith!" and there were 2 lads from the school I used to work at. They must be 19 now! One is working and the other is on holiday from university.
6) Have done little this evening. I have not known a Christmas/New Year where the television has been so dire. I think the highlight has been the Weakest Link.
