What have I actually done today?Annual leave being used up so off. Didn’t wake up till 7.30am ( though was awake through night)
Hoovered downstairs.Nipped out to supermarket.Made a pasta for lunch with DD2 and her beau.Friend popped round with a Christmas card…passed over hers which has been sitting on my porch window for over a week! ( always full of intention to walk round…) anyway she saved me a trip and we had a nice chatter. Then I’d to drop off a secret Santa gift to a colleague from another colleague as neither could make it tonight. More chattering.Met a dog walking friend and had a chatter.Home and think I had a snoozette at this point ( been a while since I’ve snoozetted)
Had made a veggie chilli and then picked a couple of colleagues up and we headed into work for our gift giving evening and supper. We all made something to share which was nice. Not a late night but I’d to drop 3 folk off then friend had phoned me whilst out so I’d called back…two hours of chattering later! So what have I done today? Er…chattered and hoovered!13 -
Didn't post yesterday - not sure why.
For Sunday.
1. A lie in - I was awake but read my book before I got up. I am reading Christmas Carol again.
2. Went to Canterbury by train with DH. The train was virtually empty there and back.
3. Enjoyed wandering around and a little Christmas market. Didn't buy anything other than stamps and Christmas cards finally posted.
4. Lunch was in a small coffee shop owned by friend of DS1. Very good food.
5. Evensong at the cathedral with carols and the choir were fantastic.
For yesterday.
1. All presents wrapped - I think.
2. Delivered presents to my parents and had lunch there.
3. Messaging my sister.
4. Our new printer works - it was my parents but they couldn't print from their phones. I never do as we have a desktop..
5. Changed the bed so fresh bed sheets13 -

My DB dropped by to do a pressie swap and catch up on news.

Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Got to sleep around 5am but then slept properly until 9.
2) Picked my dad up after he left his car for its MOT.
3) Bigger son here so we made a big cooked breakfast.
4) Gave some lemon curd and a card to uphill neighbour.
5) Hen news! I had not got round to fencing round the greenhouse. I wanted to keep them in there again (avian flu measures) but bigger son had a massive fire and melted the side panels of the greenhouse (don't ask) and fencing would have been a massive job. The allotment owner came round today and said she is down to 1 hen now so my hens are now holidaying in her very smart pen complete with mesh roof! Hoping they don't fight to the death overnight with her hen (they were fine when I left them). They are very nosey so will enjoy a change of scenery when they settle in.
6) Tasty tea of Jamie Oliver's veg chilli (from the freezer) in wraps for me and bigger son and a shepherds pie (also from the freezer) for smaller son.
7) We wrapped the last of the presents.
8) Bigger son and I just did an online pub quiz.13 -
Another bonkers day, but & has pulled over into Fenny layby to try and post 5 osps.

(and not for the first time)
NB: Admiral - this, 'A Real Life Story of Everyday Farming Folk'.....used to be trailed thus, about a hundred and twelvety aeons ago.😁
3. Happy chatties when returning signage to 🏉 Club a couple of hours ago.
4. Many exceeding naughty EXTREMELY rtc emporium pâtisseries will be excavated from boot upon rtn to &squat. For sharing out - a true promise,🖕! Also actually bought the dried cranberries for which I'd gone in! 😁👏
5. Great chats with Spain and pics loved of extended building work, now all completed. P and J and both woofs moved back in. Next thing is for & to be travelling again....qui sait quand?

Good morning. My Tuesday was a slightly more productive day.
Up early but not too early ( bit like this morning…an appropriate amount of early!)Sat at dining table and wrapped Christmas presents. So I’m all done.Walked dog / dropped a gift off / left a text and really hope it’s seen before bin day😳
Hoovered upstairs and downstairs and washed all the floors.Phoned my mum instead of going round ( that’s a today job) but she was okay with a chat.Cleaned the bathrooms.Took DD2 to GP, sat in car and watched ‘ The Girl Before’ on my phone.Picked up a new to me blind and rug. Was supposed to be for spare room but actually put blind in dining room so will move table today to see what the rug looks like ( if it’s big enough…current one is huge which I like)
Friends were coming for dinner so everything was from the freezer. Sausages ( can’t remember when I got them but I’m assuming RTC), leftover potatoes from work were roasted along with about 3.5p worth of parsnips. We had mashed potatoes which were in my too good to go bag the other week. Some cabbage/ cauliflower/sprouts ( proper food) and peas. All heartily eaten. Then for pud there were mince pies ( from a pack another friend had handed in the other week) some millionaire shortbread that I’d cut into three instead of just a big slice and some leftover RTC cake from the weekend. So a very cheap but most definitely cheerful dinner. Much chatter, much laughter ( groans at cracker jokes).Table all nicely set ( which I love to do) and just a thoroughly lovely evening. They went home, quick doggy walk and then bed which I think I’ve mostly slept right through.Do have a lovely Wednesday ( rain forecast today so shall hopefully get a decent walk done in the dry!)11
