For yesterday,
Bacon butties and catching up on all things Ambridge.
We went tree hunting as it’s our tradition that the tree doesn’t go up until we are close to the winter solstice, our local nursery still had a great selection and one particular little beauty came home with us. It’s now stood in place, gently drying off before being decorated this afternoon.
Steak pie for lunch and dug out a portion of rhubarb crumble from the freezer for afters.
Capt S wanted some action shots of small dog for a works social media thing so out for a walk we went, problem was being such a dull day the flash on the camera phone gave her devil eyes so think we will need to wait for a brighter day, ha ha.
Enjoyed Christmas at the chateau, cheese and wine as well.11 -

6 Large eggs, beaten in milk!
Put knob of butter in pan, and scramble eggs! Add pepper and Parsley to taste.
Chop smoked salmon slices in bits. You can add this to the eggs or serve on top of scrambled eggs.
Toast some proper bread, butter!
Put the scrambled eggs on the toast and the salmon. Careful if you add the salmon to the eggs, do not add until the eggs are nearly done!
Not available in Jimmy the Cook's books!
Other recipes are available on request from The Admiral's galley!
Now on to the things that the Admiral does!
Had the nasties, ss Pasty!, for dinner yesterday, with creamed spuds, swede carrot mash and cabbage, with pan gravy! Very good!
Kitty was not wanting her walk, but she is back to normal again after her decimation of the local pigeons. We pay her vet bills. Still local vet has no vaccines!
Watched another film of the Netflix last night! The Sleepover very good. Fiery fizzy waters was drinked and cheeses taken! Recommended, and far better than some celeb love in disguised as entertainment!
Had me biscuits of wheet in milk this morning with a mug of tea, packed the Albatross off with her full lunch box!
Darn! Cricket! At least I has me mug of tea!
Jen sends her Buzz!
Keep Safe!I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!12 -
Sunday was quite a good day:
We delivered a few cards and a present to neighbours.
Walk in local park and collected a few bits of holly, not many berries though. I have lots of greenery in the garden so will make a couple of table decorations. We had coffee and bacon rolls, which are much tastier than I make!, at the park. Then home and I prepped dinner and made an apple and pear sponge for pud using a few of the remaining garden apples 🍏 which were still lurking in the fridge.
Dinner was delicious, pork steaks cooked with apple and leeks in a gravy, good roasties and various veg and of course 🍷.
Enjoyed Christmas at the Chateau and bits of Countryfile and Antiques Roadshow.
Have a good Monday everyone 😘11 -

Have you biscuits & coconut?if no: (taste website)395g can N----É Sweetened Condensed Milk30g (1/4 cup) N----É Plaistowe Premium Dutch Process Cocoa, plus extra to dustStep 1Place the condensed milk and cocoa in a medium saucepan over low heat. Cook, stirring, for 8 minutes or until mixture is very thick. Transfer mixture to a bowl. Set aside to cool slightly before placing in the fridge for 1 hour to set.Step 2Use two teaspoonsful of the mixture to roll into smooth balls. Dust in extra cocoa powder to serve.if yes: (BBC version)1 tin condensed milk20 digestive biscuits (crushed into crumbs)5 tbsp dessicated coconut - plus extra for decorating5 tbsp drinking chocolate (I use Cadbury - not instant)75g butterSTEP 1Melt the butter gently in a pan, and when completely melted, remove from heat.STEP 2Stir in the condensed milk until completely mixed, and stir in chocolate and coconut, again until completely mixed.STEP 3Stir in the crushed biscuits, about a quarter at a time. This makes it easier. Also, keep an eye on the mixture. If it is too stiff, don't add all of the biscuits, if it's too loose, add a couple more. You should be able to roll it into balls.STEP 4Roll into balls, makes around 24 bitesize balls but you can make them any size you like. Roll in the extra coconut and leave to set.Joy and happy tasty mouthfuls to all who want same!11

Admiral - albion 🏏 needs to lose Silverwood and most of the overpaid ECB Wufflers. Some ospers may recall Will Carling rightly saying same of ERU jobulets years ago.
Thatcher making schools sell off playgrounds for housing, thus justifying slashing education funding, was a critical cliff-plummet contributing reason for this.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:
