Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Not a bad sleep plus a lie in.
2) Bigger son appeared. We had a cup of tea and I phoned the dentist so he can have his tooth glued back in.
3) Hens OK.
4) Spoke to neighbour and other neighbour is doing well after his operation. Staples are out!
5) A good weekly email from smaller son's college.
6) Smaller son wanted a very particular sort of tea that one of his teachers drinks so I popped to Holland and Barrett to get some. Did charity shops quickly and found a brand new coffee press for bigger son's stocking. Also bought Christmas cards (from Oxfam).
7) Chips from the van for tea.
8) Watched I'm a Celebrity.12 -
For yesterday.
1. Cleaned a spare room. It had been used as a dumping ground but looks so much better now.
2. Had an enjoyable dog walk. It was sunny and blue skies.
3. Some furniture was delivered. So can get organised downstairs and things out away.
4. Went out with friends for a festive meet up. The service was slow. 2 and 1/2 hours and not asked if we wanted desert.. Money off the bill so very reasonable cost. Very good company.
5. DH has been given another Christmas present from a patient. Looks very much like more wine.11 -
For yesterday,
After days of low cloud we had some sunshine, lifts the spirits.
Some errands first thing, how does my to do list keep getting bigger??!
Over to see my girlie, we did some pole work in the school followed by a mooch around, she has a full winter coat now, very white and soft, half horse, half polar bear.
Had forgotten about an advent candle that I picked up in the January sales, it’s fairly big and we have a lot to catch on so it was burning most of the afternoon.
Opened a bottle of red and enjoyed a glass with tea, made a paella.

On the same day my Dad died my Aunty's Mum went into a coma and died 10 days later. Someone who knew my dad as a child and was best friends with his Mum. All in a tiny village.
It was my Dad that went back, saw my Aunty grown, and got his brother to visit. It's called 'Proxenia', introducing someone with a view to marriage. No strings, no pressure.
When one of their daughters was about 8 years old she was told the story and promptly asked my Dad if he could arrange a Proxenia between her and Prince William. Still makes us laugh.....
have a lovely evening all, and huge hugs to those that need them.
love
