Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hens OK.
3) Smaller son had a good morning at college, including badminton.
4) I had really botched up my admin. I booked my coronavirus booster online, somewhere I had never heard of in floody city. I thought this would tie in nicely with picking up smaller son at 12. I then deleted the email. I also threw away the paperwork that came in the post with my booking number on it...
I spent yesterday pretending to book a vaccine from scratch (needed the special number that I had thrown away). I tried looking at everywhere that offers vaccines but nothing rang a bell.
So I got to floody city at 10ish, thinking I would just ask around! The pharmacy that sounded likely had never done any vaccines at all. I went to the big, modern church (which was definitely NOT where I had booked) and they just took my name and date of birth and ushered me in anyway! Very jolly staff and volunteers and the injection was fine. Pfizer this time (AZ before). As I left, a man with learning disabilities said to me, "I did not like that AT ALL," and I said, "Yes, we've been very brave!"
5) Went to Waitrose afterwards for breakfast.
6) Popped out again this afternoon and really made some headway with the Christmas shopping. Most stocking fillers done now.
7) Hurty arm now so I'm in bed with 1hwb and a cup of tea and will watch GBBO, Who Do You Think You Are? etc.
Up early tomorrow for more invigilation.13 -
Hello All
I haven't kept up. So sorry. Hope you are all well.
Last week was talking about my Dad's constant generosity to OH. Then took Tiggy out. On the way back said Hello to a man that was wrestling with what I thought was a christmas tree but was in fact the hugest money/jade plant I have probably ever seen. I had walked on when he called me back and asked me if I would like one to which I accepted with slightly stunned gratitude.
A few hours later had to walk Tiggy to the vets and on the way back found a 5 pound note.
Took pleasure today in writing a thank you card to that gentleman and of course told him of my find.
Sweet dreams

1. Dug up first 2 potatoes, haven't cooked them yet.
2. Robin is the dearest little chap, despite reputed murder and bigamy. Comes down straight away when & is outside, as this morning, for early brekkie. So close, easily within a metre.
3. Huge crimbo pudding now boiled and done. To Rugby Club as prize next month.
4. Good farm walking out back, then to surgery. Sunny, beautiful - sweep of vista is new green+brown, blue above.
5. First subbing+writing done for this week's rugby preview. Good that over 750 of our mini and youth section, girls and boys, all lined up on the 3G pitch and stood, shoulder to shoulder, quiet and still, maintaining the full 2 minutes' absolute silence for Remembrance Sunday.

11 big jars done using emporium's 35 rtc limes and 5 rtc lemons - not a pretty colour, but lush taste.

Hey Bala
For yesterday,
A morning of sunshine and blue skies, really lifts the spirits.
Worked equine pal, just in walk and mostly straight lines, apart from one minor meltdown she was a good girl.
Listed three things on e!ay and received bids almost straight away.
Peppered mackerel with SF veg for tea.
Enjoyed GBBO but also had half an eye on Utd in the cup, we are through to the next round.

Good afternoon
What a beautiful day. Bright, sunny and warm. Can't believe it's mid November.
Hello again Bala
A good day yesterday. Went to new cafe at outlet mall for coffee and cake for DH birthday. Then I bought two very reduced jumpers from MnS
Met DD and partner for tea.. Early non-posh tea as her OH has hockey practice on a Tuesday night. But it was good to see them both.
Wandered up to the chemist today to collect my prescription. Such lovely weather I enjoyed that.
Collecting DGD from school later and going out for tea. It's DGS pick so will undoubtedly be MaccyD!
Happy beautiful day everyone
