Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Bigger son reappeared again so we went out for breakfast.
3) Hens OK.
4) Smaller son agreed to go out after lunch! We trundled over to Berrington Hall NT - and it was shut. It was the first walk he had agreed to go on in about 2 years. So we diverted to home via Tesco.
5) Watched Taskmaster.11 -

Pleasures for Wednesday
1. Bits waxed and eyebrows waxed and tinted
2. shopping done - we have food in the fridge again
3. too much bread on tuesday meant i was laid up on the sofa with a poorly tum - an excuse to light the fire and watch stuff.
4. read my 'chick lit' book having finished one on tuesday
5. made leek and potato soup and had a small bowl for lunch and another for tea.
and yesterday
1. finally got my hair done - last had it done in July!
2. an early walk in the park with a friend - and a coffee
3. finished my chick lit - it got better.
4. DS cooked my tea as still a bit poorly (seems better today)
5. more watching stuff in front of the fire.
Have a great day all - am hoping to be off to ICT (ice cream town to the uninitiated - a place in wales where we have a small house)

For yesterday,
Made bread first thing, malted grain and walnut.
Drove over to Fenland market town, managed to pull over just before 11 to observe silence, thoughts of beloved Grandad who served.
Met DSIL and other members of family, lunch out and a good womble around, enjoyed the knitted poppies on bridge.
Sun setting in a grey & pink sky, flat fens mean very spectacular.
Bread and cheese for tea, Capt S had a portion of lasagne from the freezer.

Had another Chinese last night for dinner, chopped mushrooms and peppers with poodles in Chow mien sauce! Very tasty, and then some ice cream as well!
Watched another reversion film last night, The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear. Very good and the Admiral was chortled. Hmm, and how matter of fact it is 30 years later? Cheeses and fruit juices were taken!
Had biscuits of weet in ice cold milk this morning, with tea!
Took the Albatross to her workplace this morning as the car is due to have a look at! Did the shop at the discount surplus store, and it is steak night with some fiery fizzy waters! Cheese was also purchased.
Empress is liking her new cat scratching podium!
Now enjoying a cool fruit juice with two cakes of Jaffa!
Checked the banking app for our pennies this morning and at last, the talk of Production Engineer back in 1979 has come through at last. Pension gratuity has come through and hit account! War Chest is filled with coffers! Love the warning screen at the bank questioning my ability to avoid scams! I have paid my society of build tons of times! Only holding but not long term.
Always be aware of the scammer, was in spoon other day and another customer was upset that the free meal was fake!

1. Work was ok - at different site. Managed to get everything finished.
2. Went food shopping for the first time in 10 days.
3. Finally got round to mending a couple of jumpers. It didn't take long and pleased it's finally done.
4. Messaging a friend as it was her birthday.
5. A good night's sleep.11 -

I think I have been reading/contributing for a long time as I now understand at least 50% of what the Admiral is on about 🤣🤣
Recent pleasures:
Recovered from after effects of booster jab, which included being sick!
Thames Water have finally filled the hole in at the end of my drive after about 8 visits from various teams. Water pump now working again but will have to have new pipes “moled” under driveway at my expense ☹️
Doors adjusted so now close over my lovely, thick new carpet.
Burgers from local grown beef (courtesy of ex) for dinner with a nice glass of 🍷 followed by millionaires cheesecake 😋
Another episode of Shetland watched but rather struggling to follow it.
