I don't know, ampersand, but my guess is as follows:
Some sad gits play silly games with the Thanks facility, such as deliberately thanking some people all the time and never thanking certain others. Passive aggressive and all that.
Then there are others who obsess over the Thanks they do or don't receive - "Look, she's thanked his post and her post but she hasn't thanked mine!" They get themselves worked up over it, taking it personally, even though the omission of a Thanks might have been a simple oversight, nothing malicious intended.
By hiding the names of the Thankers you avoid all that unpleasantness.
That's ok, I won't be offended if you don't Thank me, I wouldn't be able to see your name anyway!😂😄😂One life - your life - live it!10 -
Oh nargle, you've made me chuckle😄.
Thankyou for the explanation, too.

& notspottery means having to move up and down osps, trying to thank each in order to see where last one registered.
Much fiddle-faddle.
I'll now add that I've just tracked back on a false link and deleted another SCAM Post Office msg re: missed delivery.
Be very careful everyone.

You can’t see who is “thanking” if you’re on a mobile phone. Or certainly on mine.
I can see on my laptop but I never look.9 -
Oh, thankyou Frith.
& is pretty much reliant on driving off somewhere with charged up mob. and hoping all necessary work/comms can be done before power or signal ceases.
It's dodgy at the best of times.

Ooh very early! Woke myself out of a horrid dream 20 minutes before my alarm has gone off for work. Very blustery outside.Yesterday started with a plate of porridge ( don’t like much but made palatable with peaches…and an early knock at the door from the local constabulary! A crime committed locally.Popped the last thing into DD1 parcel and went off to post it. To the post office where the staff is so blooming miserable but saves a pound on parking ! And a blooming fortune to post but hey it’s her Christmas gifts to go in her stocking.Home and quick doggy walk then round to mums.Home and big doggy walk .
Had the last of the sourdough toasted with a fried egg on top for a late lunch. Was just eating that when the son called at the same time as he was sending me photos…of his very bashed car. He’s okay apart from a cut on his finger!
Then went another walk with DD2 when she got in from work.10 -
DG for son's escape, Mhags🙏 and yes, up at same 4bells is &.🙂.
Hope M&M90 and expected babe are all well.

1. As above, & up at 4bells, also cake associated🤶😁. In it went at 1430h, out 7hrs later, cooled and just now rum-tinctured again. Wrap, repeat for 6wks, ice and deliver.
2. Many multi-starling and squirrel food muggings/attacks/standoffs and squabblings, all watched while cake gradually came together yesterday.
Managed to spot and remove 3 magic hairs too,😁 - always a likely added ingredient from a long hair cook.
3. T20 cricket listening distraction during tasks. Aotearoa can still make s-fs. If we beat Afghanistan next, champs India are out completely!
4. Hwb again, ❤. Kettle boiled while & watched fireworks beyond back farmland.
5. Now onto Peter May's 'Lockdown', dd. Telling, tightly and well-written as always, but made even more so by his explanatory foreword. In 2005, he researched and wrote - in 6 midnight oil weeks! - a crime novel set against the bird flu pandemic. It was never published, as sudden long-awaited success meant other works/protagonists, accepted and published, took on their own lives. So, Lockdown remained locked away.....until last year.

Busy day ahead.
High winds forecast pretty much everywhere - be careful when out walking.
All blessings.

Just a sore arm so far SSue.
That cake looks delicious &.
For yesterday,
Up and out early for a food shop, saw several strings on their way up to the gallops.
Changed bed and readied house for weekend.
The best news of the day, lovely farrier came and checked equine girlie’s feet, all clear and she can go back out in her paddock, lovely lovely ☺️Did a survey that paid £10 and it was approved within an hour, interesting too.
Loaded nachos for tea, black beans, sweet corn and the like, old recipe card from emporium that is getting a bit frayed around the edges but it’s one of our favs.
We heard a few fireworks going up but too far away to bother small dog.10 -
1. A dog walk - cold but crisp weather.
2. Enjoyed the sun in the garden. Planted more bulbs.
3. Long chat with my parents.
4. Made a tasty tea.
5. All ironing up to date.9
