Beautiful window frith for yesterday
1) woke early, edited a couple more bits on my application and sent to boss for final time then cooked this week’s seasonal soup (spicy noodle broth)
2) Breakfast, scrambled eggs, totally transformed thanks to using heavy non-stick M&S small pan
3) there's been a mix-up about an online conference so had 3 hours of the morning blocked so instead caught up on some emails interspersed with housework yay
4) after last meeting (I have a new mentor which i had put in for to support me with my application cos i was planning on that for March 2023 but i'm sure we'll find other things to aim for!) submed my application (hooray) then noticed a typo (boo) successfully recalled (hooray) then resubmitted (hooray, must NOT look at it any more)
5) then got a bit carried away playing the piano so got to the pub late and Mr G had switched over from Luton game to Man Utd (booo) however Luton won and I had some good catch-upsMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

SSue glad you are feeling better
Yesterday
1 Up early as chap came around to fix a car dent, very professional, DH is happy.
2 Roll and chicken from the freezer was a nice warm lunch, but rather glad when the Mr T delivery turned up this afternoon as the lunch did look a bit sad with a couple of leaves of salad.
3 More packing of nik naks we have now moved the furniture.
4 Lesson done for another week. Dh and I aren’t coping with the I want you to learn this but you have to go off and find the materials to learn it, we’ll get there.
Today
1 Travelled to vets to pick up meds, all very friendly, well priced and I dropped a bag of blankets and towels in for them as well.
2 I popped into the CS next door and they had a set of 3 pyrex bowls, S/M/L with lids for £2 the lot, I snaffled them and they are replacing our chipped and pat broken ones.
3 Cleaned all of upstairs.
4 Gammon, pineapple poached egg and veg for tea, trying to mix it up as we both literally lost interest in food, which is saying something.

Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Smaller son still not going to college but in a much better mood today and he changed his sheets.
3) Hens OK.
4) Went to floody city to get my ears microsuctioned at Specsavers. £55 but it worked brilliantly last time. I was chatting to the lady (all very friendly there) about feeling ill for 3 weeks, dizzy and queasy, some hearing loss on the left and worse tinnitus than normal. A quick look, no wax. so she said I could keep my £55 and she thinks I have labyrinthitis and to phone the GP.
5) Looked round the charity shops (nothing today) then went to Waitrose for a cup of tea. Whilst charity shopping, saw lots of graduands on their way to the cathedral.
6) Set to on the front strip of garden this afternoon while it was dry. It is only about 30cm wide, running the length of the house with the pavement then road next to it but it always does well and is full of nasturtiums etc at the moment. Had a bit of a weed then swept up all the leaves that have blown along the pavement and got stuck against the brick edging of the garden in the wind.
7) Also run out of food ideas and enthusiasm, PK, but Waitrose have really been promoting their Levantine range recently. Bought some giant cous cous mix (ready made) then made pork skewers for tea with a harissa marinade. Also wanted to use up a bit of pepper, LO pineapple and a tiny bit of LO halloumi so they went on the skewers as well! Very tasty. Made flapjacks also.
8) In bed now and will find something to watch on television.
9) And my letter came so I can have a coronavirus vaccination booster. After 2 vaccinations and looking after bigger son when he had it, the booster should surely see me through!
ETA 10) Sent an email to the museum I might be working with introducing myself. I am now nearly falling over with imposter syndrome.9 -
Hello. Just in from a lovely catch up with my friend . We message often but haven’t seen each other face to face in such a while.Up early. Went a beautiful walk with the doggy as the sun was rising. Met OH best friend out with his doggies so had a quick chat.Home and a bit of pottering around doing this and that. My bathroom cleaned. Upstairs hoovered , downstairs hoovered again. Kitchen tidied.Made porridge for both of us. Me…could take it or leave it and would much rather leave it but ate it all up with some peaches on top.Started wrapping DD1 stocking fillers that must get posted this week. Had a little sob as I did so but played Christmas music too. Going to get a few more bits tomorrow then need to get it sent off.Went to supermarket. Used my vouchers. Bought a RTC cyclamen plant.Went to mums but she was in bed sleeping so I tidied up ( again sigh) and left.Home , had some sourdough bread for lunch .Watched GGBO back and forth as I did stuff.Cut the grass…was a bit soggier than I realised but it’s done.Got ready to go out .Quick doggy walk before I went out….brrr as soon as sun was gone it was blooming chilly.Had a lovely dinner and a catch up for a few hours.Home as the gritted lorry went by! Very quick doggy walk. And bed!9

1. Slept well. This is very rare.

All positivity sent for that submission DD.
For yesterday,
Filled the car up with petrol, definitely not a pleasure with the price hikes so a bag of tangfastic jumped into my hand to compensate.
Over to Uni City for much needed haircut and had a good footie chat with my hairdresser, he supports the same team as Capt S so I could make the appropriate sympathetic noises.
Lunch then over to see horse pal, she’s doing ok and now the other horses are on winter routine isn’t in by herself as much.
Cottage Pie for tea, used sweet potato to top for a change but think I prefer the normal kind.
Tired and struggled to concentrate on Shetland so may watch again today.

Morning all
Hope you get your dizziness sorted, frith - i sympathise as i often get dizzy and nauseous too but mine is related to my sinuses.
I'm another who can't be bothered to think about food - so much easier when i only have myself to cater for rather than 4 people who like very different things (though others can, and do, cook for themselves at times).
Pleasures for yesterday
1. good set of tutorials - hopefully those who turned up will find it useful
2. useful meeting with a better IFA than the last one
3. Washing mainly dried on the line
4. watched a film with DS - Zodiac and then Shetland with DH
5. Salmon for tea.
Have a great day all.I wanna be in the room where it happens10
