1. Spent some time in the garden and p!wanted some bulbs. Got more to plant but a start has been made.
2. Watching the hens in the garden.
3. Reading my book.
4. Messages with DS2 girlfriend. She was worried that he wasn't answering his phone at the time she should be collecting him at the station.
I texted him and an old friend replied. DS2 was very drunk - after a stag do but in a taxi on way home.
5. Clean bed sheets.9 -

Indeed LaineyT despite going to bed 1:45 BST had a rubbish night's sleep (too much whizzing round in my head) so gave up at 7 GMT, got up, (rewarded by gorgeous sunrise) then back to application to address those thoughts that had been whizzing, and off to Dean and boss for comment at 8:15. Now watching Shetland and drinking a large mug of tea and getting very confused at the time cos i keep adding an hour to my computer time but of course that does automatically. d'oh.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Hello. Very long day at work! But it’s done.Yesterday I had a few hours at work in the morning. Then niecelys came for lunch. Then we went down our local woods and had a lovely walk. Finished with hot chocolate at cafe there…I just ate my tangerine I brought with me!Always lovely to see them but equally lovely to say goodbye and relish the peace and quiet! It was a beautiful day yesterday.Late night for me , went out with DD2 and her boyfriend to a friend’s Halloween party. They’d been out the night before so were still a bit ropey so soft drinks all round so a very MSE night! I’m such a party pooper and would much rather have just been home and in my jammies but we enjoyed it nevertheless but just late for me and I still had to do the quick dog walk.Alarm set for silly o’clock this morning and after a quick doggy walk I went in to work.Good company in the kitchen which makes a huge difference and excellent tips which are in the jam jar. It was emptied in to the coin machine at the bank the other day so I’m starting a fresh!Home. Hello doggy. And my non pleasure..it’s dark. 5.15pm and we were dark! Nooooo. And I didn’t really benefit from the extra light this morning as it was still dark when I went in.11

OS pleasures 1-5 googleplexesDad went to Moscow for a conference & called babysis yesterday to say he’d missed his flight. His phone then cut out.We have had an anxious day, in touch with the Embassy (who’ve been Marvellous) & bank (surprisingly helpful) & during the family zoom (can the embassy check passenger lists? Hospitals?) the man phoned in!From Paris, & so has been sent to friends there overnight then onto Eurostar tomorrow.I’m holding off celebrating til he’s home with a clean-ish bill of health, but oooof!11

That's worrying, DfV!
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Cooked all morning! Did a massive batch of Jamie Oliver's chilli (8 silver trays) then lots of Spanish Chicken (6 trays). Also cooked chicken to make chicken tikka sandwiches for lunch plus a Mary Berry recipe banana cake.
3) Hens OK.
4) Got bits of housework done here and there.
5) Lit pumpkins and lanterns and put them outside where they blew out constantly! A terrible storm now. Smaller son and I went out at 7ish and were driven back by the wind and weather. One trick or treater came round. No one knocks on the door round here, we all just leave a bowl of sweets outside by the lantern.
6) Toad in the hole for tea with roast veg.
7) Watched Dr Who.
8) Phoned my school friend.
9) Will watch Last Leg in bed in a minute.ETA - smaller son and I seem to be in the background of every professional photo taken at football yesterday! This has amused us. I’m in the bright green. Smaller son is in mid-air.

DFV - hope your Dad makes it home
1. Had breakfast at local garden centre. Looked at their Christmas displays.
2. Went to rugby with DS1 and his girlfriend. We have them a lift.
3. Traffic was ok. Only 19 minutes delay in M25.
4. We lost the match but a good atmosphere and DS1 girlfriend enjoyed her first rugby match which was good.
5. Went for a Chinese meal after on our way home. Good food and a fun time.11 -
Oh what a worry DFV, digits crossed for safe arrival.
For yesterday,
Up early as small dog still wanted to go out at normal time, clock said 5.30!
Wild and woolly morning with high winds and lots of rain, over to see my girlie and sort her out.
By the time I got home the skies had cleared and the sun come out, pottered around the garden interspersed with cooking lunch.
Afternoon walk around the fields.
Sorted out some family photos and made a little ancestor memorial on the hearth for Samhain.12
