I seem to have a trapped nerve, I think, that has got a lot worse over the last week hoping it relaxes down soon.
1 Did some proper tidying but de cluttering wise I appear to have moved it from the office to the coffee table where it is now in 3 piles of unsorted, sorted keep, sorted shred. Erm sort of progress?
2 Popped out to pick up a screwfix order, detoured via lidl to pick up low gi bread and lacto free milk all done which by some sort of miracle is also all we walked out with.
3 I got the lawns mowed I’m pleased with that off the to do list.
4 Foodie pleasures, pasta with hm meatballs for tea, and strudel with elmlea for desert.

For yesterday,
Had planned a lie-in but my brain had other ideas so up just after 7, we did have a leisurely breakfast though.
Equine girlie is obviously feeling a LOT better and grazing her in hand was like flying a kite on a windy day, every few minutes she would stop eating to squeal and prance about, she is due to go out for a couple of hours today and I’m keeping everything crossed that she doesn’t do anymore damage.
Listened to the footie in the afternoon and yet again Utd came back from being 2 nil down, living dangerously.
Lovely late afternoon walk around the fields, took the tennis balls and kept up a relay so small dog ran and ran, she slept all evening.
Snorkers and chips for tea, followed by a Gu pud.13 -

DD I remember being on the coach after we played West Ham, sometime after playing Millwall! I can still see one of their lot with the door open on the transit on the M1 near Luton trying to get onto our coach!
Ocean Wave!
Had bangers, best back, toms, mushroom and poached egg for breakfast today! Tea was drunk!
Did the sage and onion rooster booster, discount surplus store version, and pigs in blankets ready for my dinner! Will be with rosemary infused roast tatties and veg! Pan gravy!
Have wetted the fruits for xmas!

A funny old day. Wet, grey miserable morning. Now a lovely bright sunny afternoon.
DH has got a nasty tummy bug. Have had to tell potential visitors to stay away from the house of pestilence ( only DD and DS, but don't want them to be ill). Had made a big Victoria sandwich too! He's asleep now so perhaps the worst is over, fingers crossed.
So I'm doing quiet things - ironing, dusting, sewing so that he can rest. And now about to do quietest of all, reading!
Happy quiet day everyone

oo Christmas cooking admiral very organised
1) woozle walk with the dogs - chatted to gbf who's away but also knew friend who died
2) coffee with friend at mennies
3) then meeting in marquee - certainly plenty of fresh air circulating for 4 of us!
4) drink with 3 friends to raise a glass (I suspect there'll be a lot of this in the coming week!)
5) back home for asparagus risotto (yum) and MTOD to watch Liverpool stuff Watford, Leicester Man U and of course Luton beat Millwall (apologies to any wasps, red devils and lions here but I am a hatter with a liking for the foxes). Dundee Utd and Dundee both won too - my late friend would have been thrilled with the former and furious at the latter!

Hello. Big worky work day one done and one more to do! Much prefer this back to ‘normal’ hours without added ‘stuff’
Busy enough day and good tips.Had a nice walk with doggy first thing though it was still so dark this morning…clocks go back next weekend so will be a tad lighter next Sunday morning ( though boohoo darker earlier at night)
Yesterday was spent quite quietly. Was in work early for a couple of hours early. Then home and a nice doggy walk. Then the rest of the day was spent just pottering around. Put the fire on in the afternoon (May have had a doze on the sofa)
went a nice walk around the big park when DD2 got in from work. Was raining but hey it’s just rain. Found more conkers.Picked up some takeaway on way home and enjoyed that when we got home then early bed. Fell asleep during strictly.11 -
DD sorry for the loss of your friend. It’s always hard when it’s a friend (of course it’s hard when it’s anyone ) but as I said to my colleague recently who’d lost a friend that we choose our friends. Or sometimes they choose us. Hugs 🤗

admiral do you use baking paper for your cake? Trying to figure out if I wait for it to arrive in the Mr T or crack on with the cake in a cake tin alone!
My pleasures today:
1. Tot slept in until 7.45 then we had a lovely first breakfast just the two of us - porridge with blueberries2. Then DH woke and at about 10 we all had another breakfast of veggie Cumberland's in sourdough and big mugs of tea
3. Managed to get a big pot of chilli made, myself showered and house spick and span for in laws descent at 2pm (feels like an achievement at the moment!)
4. In laws brought me some early birthday stuff....prosecco (only had the tiniest glass 🤰🏻), a big fat vegan Guinness and whisky icing cake and se gifts and a card. Gifts were the next Thursday murder club hardback which will be good silly fun - will save for mat leave - and some lovely foodie bits
5. DD (13) giving me a hug and being very helpful today13 -
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hens OK.
3) Sold some things on Ebay.
4) Bigger son popped in for about half an hour. Needs another dentist's appointment (number 12) as his false tooth bridge has become unattached on one side.
5) Sat in the car for a bit to read a magazine and look at the view.
6) Toad in the hole for tea plus roast vegetables from yesterday.
7) Phoned my school friend.
8) House quite clean and tidy.
Builder coming in the morning to look at a repointing job.11
