Too much soup without the crusty bread! May have to ...
Pink Sunrise! Should I do Pink Custard for the chocolate pudding on Sunday!
Steak Pie - Proper Food!
Slippers. Ok, Where is the Cardigan?
Galley is Open!
Did Mushroom Chow Mein last night, with the RTC mushrooms, mixed pepper and onions (Toe Nail Style!) with sticky rice! Long grain, as Basmati is actually log grain but more expensive! Very Tasty. As The Admiral was at the discount surplus store, we had strawberries and ice cream with a nice 99 flake!
Stretched my things in the gym last evening, getting beach ready for a tour! Major event tour coming soon! Details on application!
Watched the University Challenge last night, then some Pacific of James Cook, a Sam Niel series not available on the ogle service. Very good! Interesting how the people of Vanuatu who praised Philip managed to detoxify themselves and return to their tribal means! Fizzy fruit waters and squirty cheese on water biscuits were eaten! Tasty!
Empress has been on her walk this morning to her lawn bits! She is very happy with her life as the ship's cat! No rats here I can tell you!
Had proper galley breakfast today, of fresh mushroom omelette, with tea and bits. Now I am having my mug of tea and KitKat. Will be having my sour grapes and cheese later!
Right that is all the ship's log today!
Keep safe!
Oh, Jen sends her ...I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!9 -

Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Bigger son here overnight so we had a cooked breakfast.
3) Hens OK.
4) 3rd coat of paint in the bathroom. That is all the walls of the house painted so I will move onto glossing next.
5) Bumped into my neighbour outside. A strange pleasure was that he had gone for an ultrasound for something yesterday (that turned out to be nothing really) and whilst chatting, the radiographer got distracted and kept scanning randomly and found a large aortic aneurysm that would have killed him before too long. Surgery is being arranged.
6) Left a text with a builder to do the bit of repointing where bigger son and I took the porch down (only 3 years after the event!)
7) Took smaller son to Tesco.
8) Did the Virtual Pub Quiz.
9) My brother was doing an ecological survey tonight. They're generally in disused buildings that need a survey for planning permission. His worst nightmare was realised this evening when he let himself into the long empty building - and there were people inside! They didn't do anything to him and the police were very helpful. Sounds like another group of people returned later in the evening while he was still working. Haven't had an update in a while. So thank you to the police many miles from here.
10) Watched Ambulance and will make a cup of tea then catch up with Grand Designs.10 -
1) annual leave - met friend for lunch - arancinni yum
2) also had the rest of a student thesis to read so read some of it sitting on the library steps to get s9me fresh air
3) uni meeting - I was convening - only 4 case so quick
4) pub for footie. Dr m texted to say he had to work but had lovely evening with mr geography
5) hm bread toasted with marmite and now listening to more
or less

1. Work ok yesterday morning then had annual leave in the afternoon for side hustling. Facilitated a women's leadership course. Loads of energy and fun
2. Tot having fun in the garden before dinner. When I got him out of the car, as usual, he refused to come straight in the house so DH took him round the garden to look for backbees (blackberries), daadoos (mushrooms?) And hoohaas (acorns?). He loves being outside in nature and I love seeing them dander past in the distance of the kitchen window occasionally...big and small one
3. Grateful to weekend me for making and freezing a family sized portion of burnt aubergine chilli. I'd dropped a load off to a friend recovering from cancer treatment earlier in the week and she said it was the best veggie chilli she'd ever had...similar noises from DH last night and fussy DD ate it too4. French class in the evening. I think it's actually not challenging enough for me but the old one was very challenging so it's a nice change of pace, and very cheap!
5. DH slept in tots room last night when he woke, giving me a blissful night of sleep11 -
Good morning. Looking good out there already. We've had a couple of lovely days lately.
Yesterday we shampooed the lounge carpet. I'm so glad no-one else saw the colour of the water in the dirty water tank! But it looks and feels so much better now.
My friend rang for advice about buying a new car. You have to know me to know how laughable that is. All I know about cars is what colour they are! I passed the phone to DH.
Finished my third cloth pumpkin and they look lovely sitting next to a vase of alstromeria (sp?) and autumny coloured foliage.v
Curried oven veg and fish last night. And then jam roly poly and custard. We needed to replace the calories used up on cleaning the carpet!
DGD has returned to school. She's doing so well, and bouncing back to her usual chatty self. A huge pleasure.
Happy 🌞 day everyone12 -
For yesterday,
Seeing my beautiful horse again after a few days, buried my face in her neck and just sniffed!
Still didn’t feel quite up to riding so lunged her instead and she was a really good girl for her Mum.
We had BRT’s for lunch, rocket instead of lettuce.
The Persephone bi-annual catalogue arrived and I managed to find two of their recommended books SH online.
Reading and enjoying all of your daily pleasures, thank you x11 -
1. Work was ok as worked at different site. Free lunch of sweet potato curry. It was tasty.
2. Had my Covid booster at same time as flu jab. Different arms but still feel ok. Given a jar of marmite peanut butter - seems very random thing to get.
3. Chat with my neighbour. First time in a while.
4. Went out for a meal - a local restaurant and was good.
5. Chat with DS212 -
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Ms Admiral has found us! She has it down as Admiral Albatross.
Peanut Butter Marmite! Please leave the room!
Gin in the Conservatory. Thought it went in a glass!
Ahoy There!
Well reported previous cowboy outfit to the Pension Regulator for non payment. Good job I left them when I did! Sneaky ....
Empress is chilling non her Admiral's bed, she has been fed, so please do not be conned! We did loose our tom cat last year who was named after a famous Singapore hotel!
Watching the ECN Cricket just now and England is in final! Not exactly the ashes, but will do for now!
Message for DD whatever the red button is, we are on the box!
We watched another flix on the Netflix last night, The Perfect Man Fiery Fizzy Waters and cheeses were consumed! Note, no nerd to say about this, The Admiral is Perfect! Very Good and Ms Albatross was giving it, 'Been there' as well!
Bit short this day. Jen sends her buzz!
Keep Safe!I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!10
