5 OS pleasures in your day today - part 3

1 A lovely autumnal sausage casserole.
2 De cluttered a bit, I am clearing down for good reasons and making space for a 3d printer for DH which will take space and I suspect noisey but I've got a silencer card with it in hope. De cluttering today as 1 very big bag of clothes and 2 old cheap holey handbags, but removed straps as useful for another bag. Ahe
3 In it to win it for tonight’s lotto definitely not mse, but winning something would be a pleasure.
4 We have been having talks about food and fuel and at the moment all is okay.
Saving 5.

mhagster sorry about your mum. Did you know that as well as disgruntling someone you can gruntle them too? So you will just have to gruntle her!
My pleasures:
Woke up on the right side of the bed. Tot slept from 7-12, grizzled a bit, then 12-4, then 4.30-7. I'll take it! He went down at 7 again tonight. Feel like we have our evenings back (just in time to have another). Anyway, felt fab. Woke up to a sparkly kitchen and had a lovely few mins alone with tea, crumpets and browsing OS before the day started.
Looked out the back window earlier. Blue skies, green grass, our much loved garden and a bird of prey (probably sparrowhawk) soared through the pine trees at that moment. Very picturesque.
DH took tot for a wee ramble round the garden and he sniffed out the last of the blackberries. DH calls him 'truffle pig'. He came in for supper with a purple face (yet still managed to snaffle some chips and beans and yoghurt!)
Supper went down well with the troops. Naughty naughty stuff but was yum and got rid of the last of the lettuce so we wasted none. Veg stir fry and brown rice tomorrow
Bit of retail therapy, though nothing for me. 2 more night time nappies for tot (we use cloth nappies). They are brilliant ones that keep him through the night without leaking. Also transferred all of my makeup budget (which had reached £40) to top up DHs clothing budget and ordered him some polo neck jumpers and tops, and some vests and long sleeved crew necks. That should bolster his wardrobe for a while. Unlike women's clothes there aren't many secondhand things on Vinted etc so I gave up and ordered from H&M
Order and tidiness...between DH and I we got the kitchen sparkling by 8, and DD brought our DVDs in from the garage, put them on the shelf in colour order and is currently watching Breakfast at Tiffany's. Oh, and she got an A on her latest English homework!12 -
My OS joys of the day:
1. Enjoyed a delicious homemade beef curry made with leftover roast beef from Sunday and some noodles.2. Sent a nice message to my local supermarket saying how great the two workers were who were guiding traffic to the pumps - still smiling even in horrid weather even though some people were very unkind. Wanted to give them some recognition and it gave me the warm and fuzzies too.3. Arrived early to collect OH from work and so had time for a little walk in the small amount of sunshine we got today.4. Full-on belly-laughed at a meme that someone sent me (proper cackling occurred).5. Spent a blissful 20 minutes reading through various posts on the OS forum before leaving for work this morning.11 -

Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) An interesting sleep as the road people worked outside until 6am. I did go to sleep (pretended I was on a car ferry as the noises were quite engine-y and metallic) but was woken up by possibly a steam roller at 3 and 6 am.
2) Smaller son went to college!
3) I managed to reverse the car from its awful resting place without injury. It is now trapped in its parking space, surrounded by machinery.
4) 8.30 - 9.30 I finished painting the walls of sons' room.
5) Went to floody city and had a cup of tea at Waitrose. I was going to pick pears from the trees no one knows about (behind sixth form college) but it rained ALL DAY. Got smaller son from college.
6) Painted my room (walls) from 2.30 - 5.30...
7) Bigger son popped in briefly for a cup of tea. He is 21 tomorrow. He was rather vague about his schedule tomorrow so I don't know if he is coming here or if I should drive over there. The presents are wrapped and a cake purchased earlier today.
8) Had a clear up after the painting and tidied the kitchen a bit. Washed the paint spattered clothes. The tidying up is more work than the painting.
9) Watched Holby City and GBBO.
Road workers appeared again at 8pm and the reversing beepers are going full pelt! It sounds like a huge hoover as well at the moment. It is the steam roller that is the horrible noise.

Good morning. Woken up by someone shouting outside this morning…we are not really a shouty kind of place so it was a bit loud!Anyway I meant to say last week that I’d been in touch with ampersand and she’s okay just very busy and poor internet connection. And I just checked in again with her last night so all is well.11

Thanks for update on Ampersand.
1. I stayed set-up not sure how as it rained as soon as I got into my car, both times and when I arrived home.
2. Free lunch at work - made myself work further for it to save spending money.
3. Hopefully my overtime pay will be sorted and I will be paid it in October. I did the overtime in July.
4. Farmhouse bake for tea - used up lots of veg.
5. Watched GBBO.11 -
For yesterday,
A gorgeous Fox red retriever walking beside its owner, ball in mouth, beautiful dogs that always look so happy.
Over at the yard and worked my girl in the school, she was a little treasure. There are, however, various shenanigans going on at the stables that meant I had to give myself a little talking to during the drive home re rising above it and just enjoying time with my horse, it’s my happy place and would hate for that to change.
Last of the LO cold pork with hm hummus in a sandwich for lunch.
Afternoon walk around the fields with small dog.
GBBO, being all cosy inside with candles lit and hearing the rain against the windows.

morning all
lovely posts all - but a special shout out for dforv's new epic. Love the Quaker quote and.... (i'll get back to you..)
Ah, just checked - love the 'Any quesstions?' "Why?" - i shall make a note for future use...
Pleasures for Monday
1. Good train journey and walk to my brother's. He's asked for my help in sorting
2. we turned the 'hospice at home' room into a sitting room. All medical equipment out of the house - hurrah for a hospital bed that goes into four easy to carry pieces.
3. being greeted by a sad doggy - she is lovely though.
4. we went out for dinner, because he could!
5. a whisky aided good night's sleep.
And yesterday
1. more cleaning and sorting.
2. my sister turned up and helped, then
3. the three of us went out for lunch in the small town where brother and i grew up (sister is somewhat younger and we'd moved by then). it is a pretty town
4. good journey back, though i was cold and discombobulated (possibly not aided by lunchtime beers)
5. Jammies and the last episode of 'Vigil' which was rather satisfactory (if far-fetched).
Have a great day all.I wanna be in the room where it happens10
