Gentle hugs for SSue.
Lovely words from Mhags, hope your Mum is feeling a tad better.
For yesterday,
A flock of starlings sitting on a wire across the field, all chattering away and making a racket when I put the washing out.
Got to it and did all the chores needed in the house, pleasure when done.
Completed a lengthy form that I’ve been procrastinating over, good to get it done. Have also been monitoring my screen time and with a little conscious thought have managed to cut it by nearly 40% in a month.
The afternoon and off to Uni City for a haircut, always nice when it’s done.
Finally caught up with Only Connect ( what’s with the red hair! ) and then watched Ambulance.

Hugs to Suffolksue - take it at your own pace as that is right for you.
1. Bus to work and a free lunch.
2. Worked with a new colleague. She seems very nice and easy to work with. A positive.
3. My roses still looking good. They are from the garden and haven't dropped their petals yet.
4. Took an inventory of the freezer and started menu planning. It is so much less stressful with a menu plan in place.
5. Enjoyed a glass of wine with DH.11 -

1 Onwards again with decorating sort of, this time we sanded and took new paint off as it needed to be plastered flat, filled in, dried, and sugar soaped it all, again, if nothing else it will be clean, another coat going on tomorrow.
2 2 loads of our washing on the line, 2 loads of ferret washing throu the tumble drier and 2 loads of our bedding hanging about drying.
3 That fresh bedding feeling later.
4 Tonight’s grub is a pasta bake using up odds and ends, and meal planning for the next while using what we have in.
5 Various tidying, and I am currently trying to figure out if its possible to glitter paint a dead leaf and put it in resin (sentimental, DH’s gran passed on 20 years ago, a plant that basically keeled over this year in it’s 70th year!, I thought it would be nice to preserve a few leaves but don’t really think a dead leaf represents a hoya well so wondering if I can paint / glitter it.
6 Bird feeders all re stocked, I saw my first erm gray wagtail even thou it looked greenish to me.

Hello & bedtime ! Alarm clock set for 4.30 am which is ridiculous!Today it was set for 5.30 though I think I was up about 5am and had showered and dressed and dog walked and into work just after 6 but home by 7am.Took dog to big park and got annoyed by two separate dog owners who’s off lead dogs came up to my dog even though I’d called out he’s not friendly…several times. Whilst he is mostly a lovely boy he does not like the element of surprise of another dog coming up to him and will bark very loudly. I felt like barking very loudly at the owners!Anyway I found some conkers…I may have opened them by bashing them with my boot! The trees are glorious. I love scrunching through leaves. There were lots of birds.Walked my friends dog.Home and had a fried egg on toast then round to mums. DD2 is there at the moment. My aunt was there today. I’ll be back round tomorrow.
Did not get all I wanted to get done today but did get garden sofa cushions in bags and at the front door…so that’s nearly away in the garage isn’t it? Tomorrow is another day.Did get a huge bunch of sunflowers 🌻 very RTC so did my all flowers this afternoon and had pinched some hydrangea and lavender from my mums too.Friend popped in as I was getting ready for going out. So she ran me up to my boss’ house which I was just going to walk up to. We were having a leaving do for one of the girls and I was doing the food. Which looked amazing and tasted amazing.Home by 9pm , quick doggy walk and then called friend who was here earlier.11 -
Pleasures for today (Friday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Smaller son's science teacher phoned again (to speak to me in person, rather than leave an answering machine message) to say he is working hard.
3) Hens OK and we picked and shared the raspberries.
4) Bigger son popped in for 20 minutes. He will be 21 next week.
5) Lots of tidying then painted 3 walls of sons' room. You don't realise how tired and scuffed it is until it has been painted.
6) Made a roast dinner pie for tea (leftover with a puff pastry top) with broccoli.
7) Popped to Sainsburys with milk and bread. The shelves (in places) are empty and they had sold out of petrol. So had Tesco and the other garage. We have about £15 in the car but I need to pick smaller son up from college twice next week which will be 80 miles. Hopefully there will be more next week.
8) Watched the Last Leg.11 -
For yesterday,
The sparrow hawk was perched on top of the shed looking for his breakfast, beautiful but deadly.
Over to see my equine pal, gave her the day off from work and instead pampered her with a long groom, she dozed in the warm sunshine.
Picked up some eggs from the farm stall as had a hankering for a egg sarnie for lunch.
Into horsey town, traffic was horrid, bit late for racing folk so perhaps trying to get into central petrol stations? Picked up a few bits from the emporium - all finished now Ampersand and looking v swish - treated us to a lemon & sultana Danish with our afternoon cuppa.
Evening walk with beloved and small dog, home just as the sun was setting but the temperature was still quite high.
