For yesterday,
Food shop, they are still updating the store and both customers & staff are thoroughly confused esp someone who writes her list in store order 😉 oh well, everything found and a few bargains stashed away.
Rode my pony, despite cool, wet and windy weather she was a little diamond, am blessed indeed.
Long chat with my bf and arrangements being made to meet up, her girls are off to Uni soon and she is feeling emotional.
A treat of salmon en croute for tea.
Watched Uni Challenge ( Only Connect saved for another day VL ) and then read our books with half an eye on the cricket.

Good morning - though it's raining
Still all at sixes and sevens here. Today DGD should be admitted for her op which was cancelled last week. So it's been a week of limbo and now we start again.
Meanwhile we are preparing for the decorator coming next week. Much taking down of pictures, boxing up ornaments and vaccing behind heavy furniture. Which would have been easier if I hadn't lost the vac nozzle thing. And bizarrely, that one is a replacement for the original one I lost! Don't know how I do it!
One tomato nearly ripe. Very exciting.
Answered some questions on Only Connect. Including one about railways that I didn't think I knew anything about.
Right! Back to worrying.
Happy Tuesday everyone.

Good morning. A doggy had me up at silly o’clock being sick! Grrr and it was just too early to stay up so I dozed off again and now really need to be up! Thanks dog!Yesterday was a work day. We were busy. Tips were abysmal! It really makes the difference at the end of the day to get our tips ( and we all realise they’re an extra not a definite) anyway big working day done.Home and quick shower and clothes on! What? No jammies? Took doggy in car to big park. We’ve a road trip coming up soonish so I want him to be happy popping in and out of the car and driving ( that reads like he’ll be behind the wheel 😆) happy being driven would read better! He’s always been okay but of course during lockdowns we never traveled very far so got out of the habit and then I gave up allotment so he wasn’t jumping in the car and then straight in the pond! Anyway we had a nice walk round the park. It’s a park filled with trees and there’s the hint of autumn just approaching.Home and we had dinner of breaded chicken and leftovers from our Sunday dinner party!Popped up to boss’ to drop something off for her and ended up chatting for a couple of hours by which time it was very dark as I walked home ( not far and was offered a lift) but home with some veggies from the greenhouse. So then had to do a very quick doggy walk in the dark and drizzle of rain.Have a lovely day!9

Apologies for much, much busyness - and ongoing.
Was saving as a treat - huge pleasure post after meeting some 🟣🐈peeps dear to us on here😇, after a glorious day at Lullingstone Castle and The Secret Garden under a biblical downpour for much of the performance.....
Overtaken by events, with much prayer in congregation since.....and now, in sadness again, I am hearing my beloved place is in flames again.

terrible fires ampers
1) gloriously sunny day - too bad i had workety work all day - but did manage to have lunch outside
2) and lots of tomatoes on my 2 bushes - i must find out what variety they are - obviously very well suited to Dundee (cost £5 for 2 at a plant sale at the botanics)
3) after work met a friend and her husband for drinks - she did her masters with me in 2001. A few years later they moved to NZ and now live in Brighton. So lovely to see them
4) vestry at church - i got there a bit early and ate my prawn (ys king), pasta and rainbow salad (with mayo and sweet chilli jam) sitting outside in the cathedral garden
5) and there was my silver and amber bracelet just lying there - I lost it maybe 2 months ago!MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Good to get up after about 2 hours sleep last night. Still, a few years back I had between 2-4 hours sleep every night.
2) Hens OK.
3) Went off on a jolly! Hereford first, to the Waterworks Museum. I had never managed to get there before and I would recommend it. As many different types of engine and pump as you could ever want to see, happy older men pottering around mending things and chatting, lots of interactives to play with and a small cafe.
4) After about 2 hours there, I went in to the city centre to do the charity shops and had lunch at my favourite cafe.
5) Stopped at Ludlow on the way home, for more charity shops.
6) Watched Holby.
Just been prancing around trying to get rid of yet another enormous house spider. This one has realised it cannot be killed if it runs in and out of the sofa cushions.10 -
Bedtime! And not my own bed! I’m in the spare room as I was out all evening and forgot I’d stripped my bed and seriously cannot be bothered sorting it at this time of night so I’m in the spare room!Busy day. Is there any other kind? I do hope so!Went into town with DD2. Had a forthcoming wedding query to make at favourite florist where I was surprised by being tearful. And it really did surprise me. ( wedding is my husband’s sister) But florist friend was very lovely. Anyway got my advice and also some flowers. Then into gift shop to buy a gift for forthcoming wedding and bought a print instead of a card. Nice chat with the owner of shop whom I know. Then got shoes and bag for forthcoming wedding in the sale and was served by someone I also knew so quick chat to them too.Got a nice olive green dress in charity shop. And a stone ‘pop’ bottle that I must google it’s origin.Went to B&Q for paint and a loo seat …oh and some dahlias reduced to 50pThen home!Stripped bed…sigh! Was a bright and sunny afternoon .
started to paint downstairs loo. Had planned to replace loo/sink but plumber never got back to me so I’m doing it up for now on the cheap! Took old dodgy loo seat off…hmmm then forgot later on when I was needing the loo! Then it was time to go to work. I was doing a private party and it was such a lovely evening. Such nice people there. Then finally home and hello doggy.10
