Vjsmum, ouchy ouchy, apols I missed how you did that but ouchy, What no colour cast, do you have metal work as well?

 I’ve not posted in a while,

1 Had the pleasure of meeting with another MSEr the other week, always lovely.

2 Plodding on, DH is improving each day, using arm pain as a guide, still in a sling for 2 weeks to go until follow up.

3 About to have some strabs and cream well elmlea close ish.

4 Happy to see the woodpecker helping himself to food.

ooh hadn't heard that term but having googled it - it is.  A distal radius fracture.

pleasures for today

1. a stroll and coffee in the arboretum with friend and small doggy
2. then a stroll and a picnic in park with a different friend
3. DS being taxi driver
4. still olympics (what on earth am i going to do when its over?)

VJM hope your wrist heals quickly and not too painful 
Walk with my sister and great niece to see the cygnets, my how they’ve grown 🦢. Also a new batch of cute cooties and beautiful reflections on the water 😊. I had a tuna baguette  🥖 for lunch and last night we collected a “magic bag” from Greggs so I had tuna baguette 🥖 for dinner too! Not much else in it just a couple of donuts and cookies.
Big shop at Lidls today, forgot my list so also forgot a few essentials such as 🥕!
The sun came out this afternoon so after I had deadheaded about 200 day lilies I had a dip in the hot tub and watched the bees 🐝 busy in the lavender and the clouds scudding across the sky - very relaxing.
Dug up a few potatoes to have with our pork and green beans for dinner (no carrots 🥕🤣🤣)

Bedtime. 

Bedtime was very early last night and I’d a decent sleep after a busy day at work. 

Today has been fairly quiet which has been nice. 

We had proper rain this morning. It’s  been a while. Then brightened into a nice afternoon.

Up and about early , just pottering in garden before the rain. And in the living room moving furniture back again. Sigh! Didn’t like how I’d changed things. 

Went to one fo our local castles for lunch. Was rainy and quiet when we went in then sunny and busy as we left. Not sure that I’m mentally ready for loss of social distancing! 

Doggy has had an upset tummy past couple of days but has been better today. On rice and chicken so he’s quite happy with that! Just been a very quick walk , stars in the sky. 

Another little potter in the garden. Just deadheading and pulling weeds. 

Alarm set for early o’clock!

Pleasures for today (Tuesday)

1) Not a bad sleep.

2) Went to a meeting at the museum where I was doing some work (pre Covid). They are going to continue with what I have written (I probably did about 90-95% of what is needed) but I don't think they will get Accreditation (like an MOT) unless everyone actually does what is written in the plans and policies! I was quite pleased with some of the work I did, which is rare, so it is useful to be able to say I am up to speed with this again.

3) Popped into Sainsburys for a cup of tea and some birthday bits...

4) Hens OK. I cut down some of the nettles and thistles which are growing again in their pen. 

5) Tidied the house so I have nothing to do tomorrow, including cleaning the windows and the bathroom. All washing done. Did a second layer of polyfiller in my room.

6) Barry cat appeared and had a fuss for quite some time. 

7) Had a chat with my new neighbour. 

8) Watched Holby.

9) Smaller son is 18 tomorrow and is going to come in at midnight for his present and card!

Good morning. Bright and sunny too

Bala - glad you found something your dad fancied eating. And YS too. A bonus!

VJ'S mum - I've never seen a wonky cast like that. It looks most uncomfortable.

Monday

Went to yoga. First class for a while and although I managed everything I felt quite unbalanced. Will have to practise at home. 

Then to visit yoga friend who's still recovering from second eye op. She's doing well now but her consultant is on holiday so next op is awaiting his return.

Watched Only Connect and answered, ooh, at least two.

Yesterday

Sold our car to a dealership and got full valuation price! We are careful drivers, and it was low mileage but we still expected them to find some reason to knock the price down! 

Went to a cafe across the road for celebratory coffee and cake while we waited for the taxi to take us back home.

DH has been making a garden table out of scaffolding planks and fence posts and yesterday was the grand unveiling. It looks great and can stay out in all weather,  saving room in the garage.

No car today so will walk to the village to pickup my prescription.  Will do me good to walk.

For yesterday,

Cleared the ironing pile, always a pleasure when done.

Time spent at the stables with my girlie.

Weeding and dead heading, warm in the afternoon sunshine, then back out in the evening to water pots and baskets.

Arranged to meet a pal on Friday for a cuppa and a catch up

Roasted veg tart with green beans for tea.

Finished watching Gardeners World and then Secrets from the Museum.

Bedtime. 

In at work early. Was a tad cool then but turned into a nice day.
Had to go to mums cut her grass and a bit of tidying up.
Bumped into OH friends so chatted with them and got some good advice! 

Snoozette then a few work calls/emails.
Bit of gardening.
Went for a reiki session.
Had an RTC curry for tea. 

Quick chat to friend on phone.

Pleasures for today (Wednesday)

1) Not a bad sleep.

2) Smaller son's birthday! Mum, dad and my brother popped round for cake.

3) Hens OK.

4) We went to the bank to convert smaller son's trust fund into an adult account.

5) A Chinese takeaway for tea.

6) Have been watching Ghosts tonight, ready for series 3.
