Pleasures for yesterday
1. The very old tatty armchair has been laid to rest in a skip. I know OH loved it and it was very comfy but it was 35 years old and well past its prime.
2. Had my hair done.
3. Left over quiche and salad for lunch
4. A drive to ICT - picked oh up on the way so had a good sing for an hour or so.
5. We brought a painted pine sideboard unit thing with us and it's perfect.
6. The plants I put in last week are still alive despite little rain.
Painting the outside of the house today, at last. Have a great day allI wanna be in the room where it happens11 -

For yesterday,
It rained, oh boy did it rain but as us brits are fond of saying it was good for the garden.
Changed the bed and washed down the cupboard doors in kitchen.
Over to the yard and fetched my girlie in as I wanted to check her feet, she was fine and enjoyed her few carrots, I got soaked but as always loved spending time with her.
Went to the farm shop to pick up a joint of pork for the weekend as we have DSS and lovely gf coming for lunch.
Watched the football and enjoyed some chocolate, a Bendicks bittermint straight out of the fridge, my new favourite.

a quick for yesterday as off to do a communal litter-pick (have been doing a lone litter-pick most weeks for about 3 years now, first communal
1) new charger arrived in the post for mobile, not that i foresee dr no texting me, but just in case.. 🤣
2) up early to walk boys to dog groomer (about 20 mins walk) - very sunny, wore shorts, almost felt like being on holiday! remembered to get fathers day card on way back and post it!
3) early finish to pick up boys - very smart - then finish book for book club - the nickel boys, very well written
4) book club outside in our communal garden - so lovely to meet in person, albeit smaller number due to restrictions - fortunately it worked out fine with who could attend then
5) one friend came in the house to watch the 2nd half of the footie - haven't had anyone in the house except bubble and gbf for so long. she admired my 'new' carpet, curtains and blinds, all in early last year.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Hello
Was looking at my hair this morning thinking I need to trim that soon. Then I remembered. I can go to the hairdresser!
Met DD for a lovely long chat over coffee and cake this morning. It's great to see how she's bounced back from endometriosis and lengthy operation early in the year. She's our happy positive DD again.
Yesterday was a day of housework and finishing off loose ends so I feel justified in today being a lazy day. And so far it has been.
The garden is abuzz with bees, especially on the perennial geranium. It's good to see and hear.
Kebabs and curried oven veg for tea. Smells wonderful.
Happy weekend everyone10 -
Hello. It’s quite muggy here which isn’t helping a stuffy sore head. Came inside as it was too close outside.DD2 dealt with doggy.Cleaned pantry cupboards and fridge and freezer.Washings out and back in. Hurrah for dry weather and a washing line!Washed cushion covers and throws from the extension sofas. All back on.Cut the back grass. It’s was just done on Monday but grown so fast already. Moved two old Christmas trees to a bit at the front and side of house. Leaving a trail of pine needles behind me so still need to sweep them up but that’s when it was all hot and muggy! The constant company of my doggy, where I am he’s not far.10

Pleasures for today (Saturday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hens OK.
3) Went to the repair cafe to have a king sized duvet cover resized into a double.
4) Got my dad's father's day present.
5) Smaller son made a shepherd's pie.
6) Have been watching tv in bed this evening listening to the monsoon outside.9 -
A new one for me.
Put a loaf of bread out for the birds. Had it soaking in a bowl as it had gone rock hard but no mould. In came all the birds except for a Jackdaw watching quietly on the fence. I kept willing it to join in but must admit to being taken aback when it regurgitated some food it had eaten earlier elsewhere. Once it had done that it hopped on to the food table and feasted. Clearly preferred the fayre that I had provided. Can honestly say that I have never seen that before ..............
Sweet dreams
