A HUGE thumbs up for BATTERSEA dogs Home. They have campaigned tirelessly to increase the sentence for cruelty to animals. They have triumphed. Previously maximum sentence was 6 months, now 5 years.

I have my own ideas of what should be done to those that deliberately hurt animals but as a law abiding citizen, prison will have to suffice.

Frith - fingers crossed for younger son's continued engagement with college. I hardly dare breathe!

A frost this morning. Our poor plants! The magnolia not only lost its blossom but now the new leaves are all brown and crispy.

DH went out today to meet his friend so I turned into a mad house-cleaning woman. I don't know why I don't do so well when he's here, but I dont, so I take advantage when he's gone for a while.

Started making a tiny felt bear. It's very sweet and I think I know who it's for if it turns out right.

Rang a decorator. This has been put off twice; once for DH gallstones and op and once for covid. He says he's very busy but we're on the list. Will be a relief to have it done as it's beginning to look really shabby now.

Rewatching The Suspicions of Mr Whicher . It's a while since we saw it so we've forgotten what happens!

Hello. A day of quiet which is just what I needed.

Up early with the alarm clock. Quick doggy walk.

Drove to work and admired both the sunrise and the big bright moon. One of my friends has re-started work after lockdown so she shouted up good morning from her shop! Yoohoo!

Home. Hung out washing, planted out some seedlings, repotted some plants.

Had my first back massage in months. Very ouchy ouch ouch. But an hour of chatter whilst I ouched!

Then May have dozed off whilst watching GBSB with DD1 cuddled in too and a dog at my feet. So then had to re-watch the half hour I’d snoozed through.

Local chap has just dropped off some larger plant pots for me. Was giving them away free and they’ll do my veggies thank you very much 😊
