Over to see my girlie and managed a little walk in hand, she was mostly interested in eating grass and making eyes at the geldings.
Employers reported that it was a phenomenal day for employees booking a day’s holiday, could just imagine all those homeschooling parents lying in a darkened room 🤣
The Nuthatch was having a good sort through the succulent pot looking for grubs, pretty bird.

Good afternoon
Was supposed to meet bubble friend tomorrow for a walk and coffee but it's such a lovely day today and the forecast for tomorrow is dire so decided to bring it forward. So glad we did. It was warm enough to sit on a bench for ages and chat. Lots of other people had the same idea as the park was the busiest I've seen it in a while. Plenty of room for all though.
I'm now cleaning the oven. Easily top of the worst jobs list but I've got one of those ' put on and leave it' oven cleaners with the shelves marinating in a big plastic bag so that gives me time to catch up on here.
DGC went off with a spring in their step yesterday according to DDiL. I bet she thought she'd gone deaf, all alone in the house! But I'm so glad they're back with their friends.
Happy 🌞day everyone12 -
Hello. It’s been a dry but cold day up until about half an hour ago and now it’s wild and windy and wet! Lashing with rain. I like the sound on the velux windows.
last night I just crashed out . Was so tired. Yesterday was a busy day at work. Was up at 5am and in work by 5.45am this morning for an hour and half doing catering.
Then quick supermarket shop.Home. Hoovered, washed floors, cleaned bathrooms. Even dusted!Had a snoozette! Then had to go to mums. Drove round as I was just too cold!Nice big walk over the fields with the doggy, met a nice random couple along the way and had a nice random chat with them then we both went on our ways! Glad we were in before the rain started.
Planted seeds, so window sills now covered.12 -
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Got housework done.
3) Hens OK.
4) You know when something is so badly organised, inept and irritating that you start to think people are doing it on purpose? That's smaller son's education. The pleasure was picking him up at 12 and having a look round Waitrose.
5) Drove a 60 mile round trip to take bigger son a new slack line he had ordered. He took it from me and said, "Oh, I haven't time to see you now" so I drove home again. I suppose it got me out of the house. Although the 40 mile round trip to pick up smaller son had also done that...
6) Wraps for tea.
7) Watched GBBO.
8) Next door neighbour's house is on the market which means (hopefully) we will be able to sleep when we want, not just when they are asleep. People have been looking round today and they all looked nice (from my sneaky viewpoint) but one women had a staccato piercing laugh so let it not be her! The write up online has some awful errors and I didn't know whether to say anything to the estate agent guy. They'll be in for a shock if they think it has mains drainage!13 -

Morning all
New Boiler (with 10 year warranty) to be fitted today. I cannot describe the relief. Just have to get through today. Am desperate for hot water.
Haven't opened laptop yet. Am always like this. Waiting for calm (and space) so that my brother and I can set it up together.
Once again very grateful to OH for the help he has given me. Also, yesterday, he cleaned his room and hoovered hallway. First time in a very long time and I didn't even ask. Like many we have been going through a very rough patch but things have improved. Gratitude abounds.
toodle-pip me lovelies

1. Good day at work. Various people weren't in. It makes a huge difference.
2. A laugh with some patient. They welcomed an appointment and seeing people.
3. Another new recipe for tea which was easy. Pork and Apple meatballs.
4. A doctor at work asking whether I was ok. My back was bad so wasn't standing straight. It was nice to be asked.
5. A detour made as the road is closed in the village and cars reversed on my road for me. I was in shock as normally it doesn't happen.12 -
Morning all, pleasures for yesterday,....
HT went to school without too much moaning and complaining
Called to best friend's sister. She was a bit upset so I took her shopping (best friend paid and I asked first)
Took best friend to get something that he wanted. Drove the long way home to show him some of the surrounding areas.
The HT walked home from school because I was collecting my looked after person. The walk will do him good and it's only once a week.
Work was OK. LAP was much quieter than yesterday so normal evening. I made his dinner then took him home afterwards and it was still light on my way back.
Bala I hope that everything goes to plan today!
Take care all of you13 -
For yesterday,
After days of grey meh we had sunshine and a lot of it.
Busy morning, washing pet bedding and coats, weekly shop and cleaning the house.
Main meal at lunchtime, egg & bacon pie with roasted veg.
Over to see girlie rather late, pampered and loved, good laughs with yard owner and others, lifts the spirits.
GBBO followed by The Unforgotten.13
