Late one for me and up in a few hours!Workety work...then a few hours of next weekend organising...tis going to be massive!Nice doggy walk when I got in , just at dusk. Over the field and back again.Nice chat to friend. How’s your day been she asked in a text...whilst I was having a planning meeting...still going thought I but caught up an hour later!Looked like a nice day ( from my distant view of the outside from the kitchen) but that’s the rain started ( forecast for full week) but we’ve been lucky with the weather we’ve had.13

1. Fairly good sleep. I slept in till 6.30.
2. DH managed to dig up a tree stump - only one to go.
3. DS2 and girlfriend came round. They came into the garden but we did stay well apart. DS2 wanted his haircut so his girlfriend used our hair clippers. Luckily we have electricity in the garden.
4. They brought me flowers which both look and smell lovely.
5. We won and are third in the league. Waiting for the team to implode as often happens.13 -
Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday......
Another good night's sleep and feeling so much better.
Wrote thank you cards for the mum and brother of the HT's partner for the loan of partner for the past week. We would have managed without him but things would have been so much trickier.
Best friend came round and we did some seed planting, drinking of coffee and general chatting. The social distance thing has gone right out of the window there I'm afraid as it was his sister who took me to hopsital last Sunday (thank you card already done and handed over) and best friend who checked on HT every day and brought me home from hospital. As they have been in my house every day, that horse has well and truly bolted.
Took HT's partner home in the car as there was too much luggage for a bus ride, especially with the Sunday timetable when they are much less frequent.
Online gaming with best friend. I have had trouble managing this the last few weeks as my stomach hurt so much while sitting up. All fixed for now so much more enjoyable.
Take care all of you13 -
Pleased that you are feeling so much better Cranky and can enjoy your gaming again.
For yesterday,
Rough nights sleep so oh that first cup of tea, followed by a pot of coffee and bacon sarnies.
We spent some time in the garden, few chores including putting together new garden table, what with Capt S’s dodgy hips and my dodgy knee it was a bit like the Chuckle Brothers at times but all done now and pleased with it.
Saw my first bumblebee of the spring, he had found the early flowers on the Rosemary bush by the gate.
Toad in the Hole for a late lunch.
More food! This time a Hot X Bun for tea, my first this year.12 -

Good afternoon
Had a miserable day yesterday. Some sort of allergy flare up, runny nose and eyes and itchy all over. Felt proper sorry for myself all day and just mooched about doing nothing. But - pleasure.....today it's gone! No idea what caused it but hopefully won't be repeated.
So today I tackled housework with a bit more than usual enthusiasm. I feel better for actually doing something.
Finished some lavender hearts I started ages ago. They only needed a bit of hand stitching to finish off, and now they're done. Could have done that weeks ago!
Finished the John Grisham book and now reading a P D James one. I think I may have read it before but it's so long ago, probably about 40 years, that I definitely can't remember whodunit!
Happy nearly- sunny Monday everyone12 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Lost 2lbs so that is officially 2 stones gone now.
3) Smaller son went to college! He did not have the best of days but he is talking about going again tomorrow...
4) With no sons here today I fed the hens, planted an apple tree (from Tesco), spread muck around the soft fruit patch, did lots of laundry, washing up, cleaned all the floors downstairs and the actual stairs, cleaned the stove and fireplace and cleaned the bathroom! And mended the outside light which took a lot of turning the electricity on and off plus standing on a chair.
5) My brother in law called round (as far as the garden) to pick up some escape room stuff bigger son made last summer.
6) Took 6 eggs to my neighbour.
7) A few phone calls from college to smooth things out with smaller son.
8) In bed and will watch some television just now.13 -
1. Work was fairly busy which is good. Spoke with some lovely people.
2. No queue at the post office when I went to post a parcel.
3. On the drive to work a bank of daffodils have opened.
4. New recipe for tea which was good and veggie which DH liked. Also leftovers for lunch.
5. Early night.13 -
Recent pleasures:
Quiet weekend (are there any other?) with a little bit of pottering in the garden and lots of tv.
Roast chicken dinner with a glass or two of 🍷 .
Yesterday I showed friend the walk where I saw the 6 little egrets and there they were again! She was happy as they are a favourite of hers 😊
Got a takeaway cheeseburger and fries from the nearby MacD’s and enjoyed a picnic lunch by the lock.
Awake since 4 a.m. but been listening to a book on the radio and then on here and the sun ☀️ is streaming through the curtains. It’s due to be a lovely day before the wet and windy weather arrives tomorrow, so better get out for another walk today 😊
Have a good one 😘12
