Kindness and generosity abounds.
We all have our own laptops, mine being the oldest. It was second hand when I bought it and to be fair started playing up almost immediately. However, being second hand, no recourse for return. Learnt my lesson. Having said that have (as far as I can recall) only bought new once about 18 years ago. When I was rich !
I had started saving for a new one. But a few days ago my laptop decided to develop a new glitch. To cut a long story short, OH has lent me the money and I have ordered a NEW one. 8G ram, etc. From an unknown company to me, but with 4 thousand reviews. Good onesThere are no bells and whistles (don't need them) and at £275.00 is a good buy for something with that size memory. ETA Tuesday !
The fabulosity continues.....
My sweet brother was looking for a second hand one to buy me. He has £15.00 in the bank......
Having decided to not be such a technobaby, I have recently been able to download apps including financial ones. Was stunned that I was able to set up a Standing Order to OH (to pay for laptop) ON MY PHONE !
Am very grateful to OH for his help in this matter. Sincerely.
For the Hoooman watch, my little birds are back in abundance. Garden full of sparrows today, made my heart joyful.
Have a wonderful sleep

For yesterday,
Bit of a lie-in followed by a leisurely breakfast.
Got over to see my girlie, knee still sore but nice to see her and she doesn’t mind having a few days off.
Last minute winner by the U’s, as in 90mins+4, we were listening on the radio and woke small dog up with our cheers.
Tea of chilli with Cauli rice.
Watched an Eddie Izzard stand up show, laughed so hard my ribs hurt and the tears rolled down my cheeks, especially when he started on the sport of dressage and said some of the moves were designed just to manoeuvre a horse into a cupboard 🤣🤣14 -
Good morning. It's very sunny here but with frost too.
DfV - Thank you for the post. Epic as always. Hugs to you for the memories. Be kind to yourself. You are doing brilliantly with the most difficult grief of all. 💕
Frith - are you ok? You seem a little ' quiet' . But perhaps just nothing happening, like the rest of us!
Bala - well done at sorting another problem. You're getting there!
A grey day yesterday but still met DD for a walk in the garden centre gardens, nursing a cup of coffee. The gardens were very quiet, but when we got back to the car park it seemed as if half the county must be in the shop part, so we beetled off quickly.
We've started watching The Terror. Not sure yet. I'm still struggling to sort out who is who! Will persevere. To be honest. I also struggle to understand why anyone would want to do that. I hate being cold!
Sounds as if DH is getting up so I'll go warm the croissants. Well, it is Sunday!
Happy 🌞 croissant day everyone

Good morning all,
DfV thanks for the menton in your epic post. Anniversaries are horrible for a good few years yet. It's hard when the only hug that would make things right is the hug that isn't there. Biggest hugs from me even though they're not the same xx
Pleasures for yesterday......
Waking up in my own bed. Still lovely even though it was the second morning.
I worked. I was a bit tired but managed OK
The HT had number two covid test before school on Monday. It was negative. We went to the bakery on the way home as a treat for him and his partner. Sausage rolls and doughnuts. My LAP couldn't believe his luck ha ha!
Dinner was steak and chips. My portion was tiny (still not eating much) but proper food, oh yum!
The HT, his partner and I went stargazing after LAP went home and after dinner. Partner lives in the city and has never been anywhere without light pollution. Ten minutes drive gets us to the far side of the penninsula and relatvely light free. We didn't stay out too long but I pointed out Orion and a few other things. They really enjoyed it - they'd never seen so many stars. We came home to hot chocolate with squirty cream and mini marshmallows. Cheap outing as it only cost a bit of petrol. Memories made.....priceless.
Take care all of you13 -

Giddy giddy Aunt. My Laptop has arrived 2 DAYS EARLY !
I am too scared to open it. Later after 3 or 4 calming cups of tea. And a visit to the garden to sweep up. My wood pigeons are back. I never understand why they have to tip the bowl of seed onto the ground. It's safer for them on the table. They are the daftest, messiest of birds. Still luv 'em tho'.
VJ....wasn't feeling well.
