Evening all
Pleasures for today
1. Click and collect collected. We have managed to book an Alidi slot locally for later in the week so this week's tossco was things that we can't get from A. Largely oatley, ecover products, rooibos tea (i don't really like the Alidi one) and a load of vegetarian gubbins for DD.
2. made leek and potato soup for lunch. Was yummy and we have to have it tomorrow as there's no space in the freezer.
3. Washing partially dried outside - the first time its been out for ages.
4. Roast beef for tea.
5. Finished Michelle Obama - now on to the next but not sure what.
Have a good evening all.I wanna be in the room where it happens15 -

Glad to hear your vaccinations went ok, Suffolk Sue.
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) A lie in.
2) Stove going all day. No snow (for a change) but very cold and windy now.
3) Made 2 pizzas for sons for tea.
4) Spoke to my school friend on the phone.
5) The Occupational therapist phoned back and seemed very thorough today. She is going to put in her report that smaller son needs an in-depth 1 to 1 assessment (rather than online). She is going to diagnose (I think) dyspraxia, sensory processing disorder and something to do with Interoception. He’ll have an a4 sized list soon!
6) Going to top up my hot water bottle then watch Pottery Throwdown in bed.14 -
Hello Happycas, thank you for asking. Big kiss X
Dizziness seems to have abated (it does this) but chest pains continue. Doctor convinced it is anxiety driven. Had a very hard day this week with argument over something incredibly fundamental. This dispute has been going on for years. I was awake the whole night with chest pains so the doctor is probably right. Abnormality in blood so had to have another test as it could have been due to storage. All I know is that I don't feel great. Missing and grieving my Murphy. Had a strong dream about him, was trying to break down a wooden wall to rescue him from a fire. He was as good in the dream as he was in life. He was waiting calmly by the hole I was frantically making. He is one of my greatest loves.
On a much brighter side I had part of my wish realised today with some snow. It didn't settle except on some rooftops, cars and lawns. Kept popping my head outside to look............ (am easily pleased).
My love to you all

My pleasures:
I’m lying in bed with my heat pad on listening to the wind howling outside and something rattling on the roof!
OH insisted on going to work at 6.30 am even though there’s a good covering of snow and wind chill is-8 degrees! It’s litter day on the country park! He could have taken a snow day and got paid the grand sum of £15!
Sunday was a lazy day with wind and snow outside.
Cut OH’s hair with clippers 😊
Easy dinner of chicken Kiev with chips and veg and watched Simon Reeve on tv - excellent, we saw him talk once, was very good.
Have a good Monday, stay home safe and warm 😊
Hugs to Bala and anyone else who needs one 🤗13 -
Good morning
It's snowing. Not very much, only about half an inch settled, but enough to put the supermarket off until tomorrow. There's nothing we're desperate for.
Bala - I'm so sorry you're feeling down. It does sound as if the doctor could be right, but perhaps the next set of texts will clarify things. Don't stop talking to us though whatever.Am sending hugs through the ether.
I've started knitting a mini elephant. It's only about 3 inches long ( sorry, I'm not really metricated - can do it if I have to ) There are patterns for other mini animals too so I thought I'd do them all for newest DGD birthday in July. So far we've seen her twice, once at a doorstep distance when new born and properly at Christmas. And they live about two miles away!
Still snowing. Might go out to make a snowman. Perhaps not😀
Happy snowy day everyone

Great news on the jabs SSue.
Love the pic DD, great smile.
Big hug for Bala x
For yesterday,
No snow until early evening but a bitterly cold day so we didn’t venture too far.
Bacon butties with the Archers omnibus on the radio and the cricket on the muted tv, multi tasking? 😉
Made a big dish of cottage pie for lunch, plenty of leftovers. Since starting on the steroids Capt S’s appetite is back.......with a vengeance! so a pan of Brownies made as well and he had a slice of that for pudding.
A snooze on the sofa with small dog cuddled up.
Bit of reading then got into PJ’s to watch the penultimate episode of the Serpent, so chilling because you know it’s a true story.13 -
1) Modern technology that brings pictures of family here on to the phone when we can't physically mix.
2) Central heating to get up to in the morning and make tea in a warm kitchen when outside is stark, bleak and very cold indeed.
3) A well stocked store cupboard that gives the knowledge that no matter what the weather does outside we've all we need inside.
4) Proper outdoor clothing for this kind of weather down coat, sheepskin gloves and hat and decent boot socks and boots.
5) Hot water bottles, snuggly warm feet and a decent nights sleep.11 -
