Good evening
Lainey - such a worry. I do hope the meds work, and work quickly.
We're done. Both DH and I have now had our first vaccination. His was in our town; mine in the next town along ( not sure why. We go to different doctor's surgeries but both in our town). Anyway, it's done now and was very quick and efficient. The snow has gone too so that was a relief.
Lasting Power of Attorney completed on line and printed ready for signing and witnessing. It was very straightforward and doable ( is that a word ?) and I was careful to use the right site. Thank you BoP and Frith.
Those two things took up almost all of today, but they're both jobs I'm happy to be able to tick off.
Time for tea, and then chilling
Happy Wednesday everyone

None here.Made the most tasty chicken and bacon and veggie pie for tea. Eating a bit earlier this week as I’m going to bed early as up early. But it was so yummy.Watching the birds in the garden.13

sorry been away so long ,I really don’t know where to start .
DH is a v pretty shade of yellow but otherwise unchanged ,forgive me but at times I think.how much longer .
The son in law is wavering between staying and going and generally making life v unpleasant for his poor partner ,my grandchildren are bearing up ,both know they will always have a home here and I think that is helping .DGS is still adamant he is living here and not with his father ,I talked with the NSPCC and think ,once he’s 16 it will be easier . Have some more numbers to ring .I am so tired.
anyway let’s try for 5 pleasures
1 DH will have his COVID jab on Saturday,if there is enough vaccine they will do me at the same time
2 our lovely GP says the above is more than justified, as then his family can come and hug him without fear ,she says our family must see him despite lockdown .!
3 snowdrops in my garden ,I am trying hard to establish more and slowly they are multiplying.
4 good doorstep chat with friends when I popped up with card and gift for birthday.
5 all of you ,you will never know how much I feel your support during this never ending hell
Thank you19 -
Hello, SuffolkSue. I’m sure you’re right about it being easier for your grandson once he is 16. Their views are taken into account much younger than that, though I can’t remember now if it’s 10 or 12. Good news re Covid jab(s).
Pleasures for today (Wednesday)
1) Good to get up after a pathetic nights sleep! I’m sure uphill neighbour gets noisier. He doesn’t have a kitchen bin but goes to the wheelie bins dozens of times a day, drops 1 or 2 bits in then lets the lid slam down! Any hour of the day or night. 5.50am today... The “Sold” sign has been on his house since November and the new people were supposed to move in during January...
2) Hens OK.
3) Bigger son very jolly today. We’ve started piecing together the things he’ll need when he goes off to do his apprenticeship. We bought herbs and spices today for his kitchen supplies. There wasn’t a big range at Sainsbury’s and he said, “Not to worry - I can always add to my abattoir”...
4) Managed to get smaller son to do almost 15 minutes of homework!
5) In bed with my new hot water bottle and might watch a bit of telly on my phone.15 -

Suffolksue - thinking of you. It's good news about the jabs.
Frith - why does it take so long for neighbours to move - mine still watched me whenever I go into the garden.
1. Managed to finish the day at work without being too rude to people. I think it's the fact that they don't care how many mistakes are made and how it impacts others. Also decisions are made on how things are done without informing us and so complete opposite of what I want is done.
2. A colleague, who is a friend, helped me calm down.
3. Messages with a friend. She is out of hospital and friends are helping her as much as they can. She lives too far away for me to be off any practical help.
4. My sister picked up her new puppy. Saw lots of photos of her.
5. Finished my book.15 -
Really VL,
I cannot possibly imagine you being rude..................

For yesterday,
My errands morning, pet store and petrol, sanitiser, sanitiser, funny how ingrained in our brains it has become.
Cleared the Yule log from the hearth and put it back in the shed. Scrapped candle wax off the tiles and had a general tidy up, bit late for Imbolc but done now.
Received hairdressing and thinning scissors in the post, my locks are getting scruffy.
A beautiful sunset, held off switching on the lamps until all colour gone from the sky.
Tasty tea, gammon steaks with cauliflower cheese.16 -

S Sue - of course you think ' how long?' You couldn't wish for his suffering to go on. But...what a wonderful GP who realises there is more to her job than prescribing. And that hugs are important. A star.
Think I'm going to ask if I can have the vaccine weekly. I slept all last night and didn't wake up until 8am. Virtually unheard of!
So am tackling the housework with a bit more vigour than usual ( but no more enthusiasm)
DS facetimed yesterday with DGS. Was lovely to see them both looking well and happy.
Chicken and chips for tea. Nice and easy. And I think banana bread and custard for afters. Good for a grey day.
Happy Thursday everyone
