1 Tonight’s casserole was really nice, one of my better ones, won praises from DH, I do have to admit thou, I put it in the oven having prepared it earlier and thought it’s too early to turn the oven on and then er forgot for a few hours.
2 Animals very interactive with me in the garden.
3 As I type this Sherbet is snuggled up against my cardigan and leg.
4 More “death cleaning” dealt with, honestly I look back through when things were financially wrong and wonder how we kept ourselves sane with all of the harassment, one of the banks letters in response to a complaint was “We are sorry you feel you have the right to complain”… Shredding or burning these will be cathartic but there is so much paperwork I’m not sure how we will get rid of it all I guess part shred and part burn.
5 Birds and foxes also well fed.

2. At work a little girl read her book to me over the phone. It was very sweet.
3. Work over till Monday.
4. DS1 called round quickly to pick up his post!
5. Blue sky and no rain here.13 -
For yesterday,
Between us we got 5 out of 5 in the quiz on the radio 2 breakfast show, as you might be able to tell we love a quiz!
Capt S went for his blood tests and was happy & comfortable with the hygiene provisions made by the hospital, the phlebotomist was very quick as well. Now to wait for results.....
Giggles and a suitably distanced chat with fellow livery owner, she had managed to shut herself in her boy’s stable when the bottom lever accidentally flipped over, being a bit of a shortie she was wondering how to climb over when I turned up!
Home and a cup of tea with shortbread biscuits to warm up.
Small dog continues to improve and even went to jump up on the sofa with us, have ordered a joint supplement as figured it can’t hurt.15 -
@Purple_kitten which animals do you have?
1. Last night we had Prosecco to celebrate house stuff (haven't even exchanged yet), I made HM chips and things and we watched some telly. Lovely.
2. Good night's sleep. Baby in with us a bit in the morning but felt rested.
3. Managed to end night with a sparkly kitchen. Feeling like we are sort of on top of housework but definitely don't do floors and bathrooms enough. I hate that job, DH only does when asked. Need to get a good rhythm going!
4. Budget looking pretty healthy
5. It's Friiiiiday!

Ampersand - has anyone been in touch yet to find out why you didn't turn up at 10:15?
Cranky - DH had a year of being not very well interspersed with pain. That turned out to be gallstones. He had his gall bladder removed just after Lockdown 1 and has been very well since. I hope you soon get it sorted out properly.
Today we went to the market butcher and greengrocer. Although there was lots of traffic on the road, town was very quiet. The green grocer had big bags (10/12) of oranges for £1 and boxes of mangoes (12/15) for £1:50 !! Obviously not getting as many customers as usual.
The plant stall was there ( essential?)and we bought a lovely little Christmas rose for £1. Can't get much better than that!
Another lot of washing out drying in the sun! Yesterday's was completely dry when I brought it in.
Time for Pilates now and then I'll have another go at the crossword. So far I've got one answer!

Pleasures today.
Beautifull brilliant sunshine, made dog walking a pleasure even though the park was still muddy and boggy.
Thank goodness for good quality wellies when doing the above.
Load of whites washed and put on the line for the first time this year. Still needed finishing off in the dryer, but the dryer ran for less than half the normal time for that kind of load.
Online clothes shopping to spend money given as Christmas present.
Homemade chilli con carne for lunch, which we ate whilst listening to jazz music.
Sorting out order of organic herbs and spices bought online. Ended up totally reorganising the food stores, a job I always love doing.
Online choir tutorial, starting a new song.
A neroli scented wax melt fragrancing the house. Fragrancing, is there such a word? There is now in my world.
On the sofa watching the Food Network channel, can't beat a bit of vintage Nigella.

Offered a set of things on local Fb page for free. Getting picked up over weekend.Went round to mums, slowly slowly as it was so blooming slippy. But the sky was blue and the birds were singing.Did the necessary round there. Slightly less slippy walk back. Came home with three tins of soup.Walk with doggy. Was supposed to litter pick but shall do that tomorrow. Had a snoozette instead!Finished watching Finding Alice. Hmmmm rather disappointing end.Played fetch the ball with dog. I threw he fetched ....over and over and over!14 -
Evening all
Pleasures for today
1. A bike ride on my new bike. T'was lovely but the last mile was tough - although we'd ridden 12 miles and i haven't been on a bike since about october. Was beautiful blue sky but not too cold - until i got off and my tootsies were frozen!
2. We have a new garage door - the old one collapsed. the neighbours will be pleased as the old one was an eyesore - we weren't bothered cos we can't see it, it is in a separate garage block.
3. a training session that was fairly easy - and i got paid to do it.
4. left over takeaway curry for tea.
5. I finished Outlander. Last episode was a bit 'meh' but ne'er mind. Now to find something else to work through.
6. DD's COVID test and antibody test were both negative - whatever she's got, it almost definitely isn't COVID which on balance can only be good. Now to protect her from getting COVID.
Have a great rest of evening all.
I wanna be in the room where it happens14
