1. DS1 called round to collect last of his stuff! Had a long chat on the driveway. He is doing well.
2. While chatting to DS1 a good friend of DS2 walked last so we had a chat with him and his girlfriend. They were going for a long walk and I suspect very muddy in areas.
3. DS2 came round for his remaining stuff and came in the house as needed new orthotic for his shoes which DH sorted out for him.
4. Went to a local NT garden. Lovely to walk round. Some stunning views and far quieter than walking from house would have been.
5. In way home picked up some sushi for tea.14 -
Good morning and Happy Birthday to & 🎂
Yesterday
1. More stuff listed on the Bay.......decluttering with a purpose 🙂
2. Olio success. Collected some veg from a lovely lady, so roast dinner today.
3. Takeaway curry for dinner, as it was DS2 last night. Used a voucher for 50% off UBER Eats and lots left for DS1 and GF who were at work.
4. Bird feeders are busy.
5. Some actual decluttering and cupboard reorganising is happening....... I should have taken up the decluttering challenge and started counting the items! 🙄 I don't like New Year resolutions, but I do like to have a positive challenge. E.g A random act of kindness every day or clear a drawer, or cupboard a week. If it lasts until Easter it's a miracle, then I have to think of something similar for Lent 🙂

1) (sorry Bop starting with football) Luton is through to the next round
2) as is Leicester - first goal Luton boy
3) lovely walk with the dogs
4) made a very nice soup #2 of my fraser's seasonal soup book - kale and noodle with lots of ginger yum
5) my new vacuum cleaner is excellent - it's cordless and the charge lasts 15 - 20 minutes depending on use of booster and that's about my boredom level with cleaning

Day off school for the HT
When I was scraping the car to take my looked after person for a walk he offered me his gloves so that my hands didn't get cold. So sweet.
Waving to the family over the road because they were going out at the same time.
Some more crochet done while L.A.P. watched tv and the sunshine in the afternoon when we went for our second lot of exercise.
Watching the cat walk down the garden. She's such a princess and it was cold on her paws - she looked as though she was trying to tiptoe. Two minutes later the cat was back indoors and next to the fire.
Take care all of you16 -

Good evening
Happy birthday, Ampersand, and many of 'em
Flying visit to DD today to drop off our small tv, which had been in a cupboard in the garage. She is going to convalesce upstairs while her partner works from home downstairs. We didn't stop, of course, but was good to see for ourselves how well she looks.
Pork chops and veg for tea. When I was a child, I hated Sunday dinner and said when I grew up I would never eat it again. My mum said I would eventually. Mums always know best, it seems!
The frost melted away today. If there's none tomorrow I might go for the walk I've been going on since Thursday.
Happy Sunday evening everyone

Happy birthday, Ampersand!
Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) a lie in
2) one hen ill. It looks like internal egg laying (which finishes all my ex battery hens off in the end). Still evidence of rats so must get more poison.
3) Diet continues.
4) Really enjoyed the football this afternoon at Marine. It reminded me of 1994 when (from memory) the local side now supported by smaller son got astonishingly far through the rounds, beating Birm City then losing to a top team - at Wembley! They would have got into the proper leagues but hadn’t the money to get the ground up to standard.
5) watched the Pottery Throwdown.
Covid is creeping back again round here with one friend of mum and dad’s ill with it in a nursing home near us.13 -
1. Very heavy frost here and it looked beautiful.
2. Managed to get all tiles off the floor and put the carpet back so it's flat.
3. Quick chat with a neighbour.
4. Spoke with my sister on the phone.
5. Made lasagne for tea and enough so I froze 4 portions. When sons were here it would have been eaten in one go.13 -
Thanks for the tikka recipe BOP, will give it a go
Hope you had a good birthday &
Sunday walk round local lake
It wasn’t sunny 🌞 but didn’t rain 😊
Gammon, egg, toms, mushrooms and chips for dinner
Last of the Baileys with mince pie and ice cream for pud. Other half keeps buying mince pies reduced so we keep eating them!
Watching The Serpent on iPlayer so we’re ahead. Bit macabre but watchable
Countryfile walk was from woods near to us
Feel a bit sad when I wake up but get better during the day if I don’t watch/hear/read too much news
Happy Monday all 😊
