For yesterday,
A heavy frost and the white beauty of the beech trees.
Reading my book in the bath, one of my festive pressies was some honeysuckle bath honey (!?) and have to say it was rather nice.
Lunch was Turkey & mushroom pie with roasted veggies and kale, also made two mince pies with the LO pastry which, with custard, was pudding. After which I had a long afternoon nap!
Also enjoyed the football, especially liked the markers around the ground that indicated which garden any errant balls could be in.A lovely hour going back to the beginning of this incarnation of the 5os thread and reading about our lives, the highs and lows, the outings and the holidays, yes we could get out and about then, how far away that seems now! The memories of my old dog Rosie and the excitement of getting my new horse ❤️14 -
Good morning all, pleasures for yesterday....
A lie-in. The HT isn't very good at these so they're few and far between.
A facebook memory from 9 years ago. The HT's class were having a medieval dress up day. There was talk of princes, princesses, knights in armour etc. The HT wanted to be a dragon
Home made ginger biscuits with my mid morning coffee, yum!
My sister messaging me (she's still in hospital) to say that one of her grown up sons had messaged her to ask if they could put a frozen chicken in the oven. That gave us both a good laugh. They were all left with fairly comprehensive survival instructions but they're hopeless - her partner included. Apparently her first job when home is to change the kitchen tap as they've broken that too.
Online gaming with fairly stressed best friend who had calmed down and was laughing after a couple of hours.
Extra one....20 minutes watching youtube and having a late night chat with the HT before bed. I like to keep the lines of communication open.
Take care all of you

Good morning Peeps,
I will have to read back later, but here are mine for yesterday:
1. DS2 set off back to work. We won't see him until Easter 😢. The pleasure was that he managed to get a lift from a friend, so we didn't have to transport him.2. Shopping trip to Mr T using a voucher from Quidco, saved from ClickSnap purchases. Stocked up for a few days. Unfortunately, cooking for 6 people uses up supplies very quickly!
3. I have listed upto 20 items on eBay, and have some bids already..........surely I will be a Millionaire by next Christmas 🤣
4. We watched the Beatrix Potter/Ronald Dahl film on Prime. Popcorn and tea was consumed. 🙂
5. 4 of DH jumpers have been mended.
Have a lovely day 🙂In a world where you can be anything, be kind. (Caroline Flack)
We have more in common than that which divides us. (Jo Cox)15 -
Dish it up!
Buzzard Leg Tikka, with egg fried rice. All done by BoP! Recipe for the tikka see BoP notes passim, egg fried rice. Use yous long gain rice, not that Basmutti carp that is actual 90% long gain anyway, butt moor expensive. Drain inn the colander! Inn the fry pan, gets the bitsers finely chopped, peas, onion, peppers, prawns, anything! Fry lightly. Inn small pan, take an egg, beet it and whisk inn too a scramble. Add rice to the bitsers, dash of the soy sauce, then add the egg. All done quicker than that packet version! Please be aware that BoP was given a packet of the carp rice during knockdown, and sued it last weak. You shoulds has seen the carp coming out of it! Not shown in Jimmy the Cooks book!
Good to see the gammon, eggs, big buzzard & mushroom pie bee inn ate! Proper Foods!
Jenny gis it max!You can putt it down!
Moor from your BoP! Wes dids has the roasted buzzard last day, with perfect roast spuds, rosemary flavoured, snorkers inn bacon. Carrots and cabbage inn pan gravy! Rite tasty and set Kitty off! She loves it here with proper foods!
Nows I is connected to the docks this day! Sore tin out the day and getting things readied! All is good! No problem. Tea is inn mes mug and triple choklate biscuit and wafer is bee inn wolfed down as well!
Watched another flix on the box last eve. All Nighter. very good, not suitable for & as it bee a bit risque! Cheeses and wobbleades were consumed! Rite good for BoP!
Now as I is connected thru the ether to the Docks, I can does mes work and watch the Bash at the same time!
Keep SafeThat is not watt you came here four!

Pleasures for the weekend:
1. Managed to get the house in good order
2. Yummy foods. HM chips (AGAIN oh no!) on saturday night, on Sunday MIL cooked bean chilli, rice, crumble and HM vegan ice cream (made with frozen bananas, strawberries and almond butter...lush)
3. Watched the movie 'Tag' on Saturday night, good fun.
4. Walk through the fields near in laws house yesterday. Beautiful views over Lough Strangford and over the fields. Certainly knocked the hando
5. Got to Mr T's early on Saturday and it was dead, spent well within budget and got loads of yummy goodies including beer and a nice bottle of wine.
6. Cut DH's hair. Got the 'fade' really good but then struggled with the top. He has SO MUCH thick shiny hair (jealous) and I just couldn't make it not look like a mushroom so I shaved it on the top too with a no 12. He looks so different and I do miss his hair, but it'll grow back. We had lots of laughs doing the hair and it's usually £17 at the barbers. When i grows back I will try and cut the top. I think we let it get too unruly, he looked like one of The Beatles circa 1968, so it was too hard to tame again.14 -
Hello
good to hear all the pleasures.
Paulie, I struggle too. Out of nowhere waves of 'feeling the lows'. Seem to be either pulling myself up by my boot straps or giving myself a good talking to. So far it seems to be working but is very tiring. (Read exhausting).
I really want to talk of a pleasure so am just going to say that 'Stuck like Glue' (a.k.a. Tiggy).................is !

Good afternoon
Grey day here, though there was a beautiful sunrise. Gorgeous pink streaks in the sky, then the sun decided not to bother after all.
Bala - be kind to yourself. I think lots of people are struggling to find pleasures at the moment, not surprisingly. But don't be cross with yourself about feeling down. We all go through sticky patches.
House elf - what does DH do to his jumpers?? Or is he a welder?
Trip to Aldi today. Not been for a couple of weeks and I'm always surprised just how cheap it is! Plus mince pies at 9p a box and Christmas crackers also 9p a box!
Monday is leftovers day. There always is something lurking in the freezer. This week it's risotto. And there's still some cake left so nothing for me to do.
Have ordered a Poem a Day book for my kindle. Have finished Christmas Chronicles, and so I thought this could take its place. Will be good to find some new-to-me poems.
Happy grey Monday everyone13 -
Throw in some yesterday moments, &. Pics in last, very slow.
1.Sad to see the 2 great guardians behind the NZ garden taken down, but survive, evolve, thrive....as must we. The stumps exceed 1-2metres across. Found, saved 2 of their pine cones.
2.Look closely. Base of fern clump, NZ garden again. Yes! Flowering! Hoya-like, 2 red, 1 white, but don't know what. Just right of the tumbling waterfall. Nearly fell in 😁.
3.& reads all seat inscriptions - respect, sorrow, aching love, joy, loss - all are here. All are humbling. Known history - this one.
4.Lingered long. Glorious scent and buds in the Winter Gardens, with constant company 😊.
5.How we have to be now.
Kind CUBG custodian offered pic when & noticed Aotearoa native, houharia, on way out. Good distanced discussion.
'It's behind you.'
6.Unexpected gift from The Alma😊, unwrapped last night. Goes with earlier gifty mug which & uses often❤, not unlike Mosse ware from Eire. Lovely variant on blue+white work.
6. Birthday fundraiser for The Red Hen Project going nicely, despite &+Fenny notspot intransigence.
7. Long call from France last night. Yes, indeed. Why is & not there?
8. Online inauguration party likely 🥂🌹🍷🍸. Anyone else celebrating? - fearful though & is of heightened risks to JB and KH.
9. & is sure bop knows a little country called Aotearoa is now no.1 in world of things 🏏.
KIA KAHA AROHANUI 🇳🇿.
Pleased India drew. No way should all-time cheat S.Smith have been MoM. Shouldn't be playing, fullstop.
10.
Found chucked away! Beautiful bit of woodturning. CUBG. No lost property interest. Sits in &'s palm -❤❤❤
