Ampersand.- Our pound shop sells cake tin liners. 8" round and 2 lb loaf tin size ( sorry, not sure of metric) 10 per pack. You can squash them into other shape tins and it's a lot easier than using greaseproof. ( Lakeland sell them too but they're a lot dearer). Can recommend them13

Thanks happycas -
I'll manage. Not only stubborn, but have that new greaseproof roll, bought and ready.
Actually, I'm suddenly thinking - did I buy something like your description, emporium rtc, ages ago? Bung them in with spillover usefuls for 'ron out in porch pantry?
Will check tomorrow.
Thankyou:-)

Hello. I’ve done Friday and just heading to bed. Tomorrow is another day.
Up early. All is quiet.
Went for another reiki session. Squirrels in the trees! Wouldn’t necessarily have been back so soon but that’s us on lockdown.
Over to post office to post DD1 birthday cards (should have gone yesterday) postvan just pulled in after I’d posted.Chat to DD1 on phone.
Home briefly then round to the mothers to do her meds for another fortnight. Son came and we left with a wicker chair and foot stool/storage doodah...however to get to the footstool doodah meant filling 2 charity bags, the recycling bin, a bag of rubbish and a pile of what was in it!
Then just filling in application forms/ID/bank statement for flat application for boyo and then an email later to say he was successful. Hurrah! Had to nip down to friends front door for her to witness my signature. Very quick chat with her.
Then a friend of friend called to say that yes she would take my wooden chest after saying she would then wouldn’t ( that’s a lot of wood/woulds !) so son and I got it in my car and dropped it off. Loved it in my big Melbourne house but too bulky for here.Home and fire on. Ghastly kind of day again.
Takeaway for tea. Our last one with us three.Chat to friend on phone. Sent her photos of new flat. Now snuggling with my doggy boy.15 -
1 We had to pop to pick up prescriptions, so as we go past Aldeee popped in, and it occurs to me so far I have seen no frozen turkeys this year…hmmm thankfully we have one but I was going to pick one up, they seem to be available online in A£da, althou they are notoriously bad at deliveries.
2 The house is clean again for now, I’ll take it.
3 Chilli was tea, not sure why but not much appetite recently but I did eat half while DH ate it all so it’s not the food, in fairness I could not eat for a long time until it actually noticed.
4 Had to go online early this morning to get a Christmas week delivery, managed to secure one for Dec 23rd.
5 There appears to be what I am assuming are fish in the pond that are demanding to be fed, I’m not sure how as a long while ago the heron cleared it out.

For yesterday,
Bbbrr, cold with first frost of the year, crunchy leaves walking dog and glad of hat and gloves.
Into horsey town for various errands, needed change from the bank for roadside egg & veg purchases etc, saw ex work colleague so distanced catch up.
Bit of time spent in garden, hard to do much when tennis balls keep being dropped at your feet ☺️.
Cup of bovril with lunchtime sandwich.
Fell asleep over book in the afternoon and only woke up when beloved came downstairs in search of tea & cake.
Cooked sausage and chips with a slice of freshly baked bread for moping up.
Lots of food pleasures, must be storing up fat for winter hibernation!13 -
VL congratulations to son. He must be thrilled. Glad you are feeling better.
Am chuffed because I won on the bay (quite cheaply) a vintage slow cooker/crock pot. For someone who claims they are not keen on cooking (me !) am constantly researching recipes. Have recently found that when I am up at 5am (sometimes earlier) and the house is asleep, I like to cook. Whether it's because I feel happy because I know it's a job done or it's the quiet I don't know yet. So slow cooking seems ideal. Also tickled pink that I have been adventurous enough to try new spices..........and I got away with it !
Have a sumptuous day
