VJsmum - I was telling bigger son that we went to ICT when I was young on the rainiest day ever we sat in the car overlooking the sea then there were enough dolphins for us to watch for about an hour! (We are going over there on Wednesday)
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) A short sleep in the end.
2) Hens OK. Lots of raspberries on and another meal's worth of runner beans.
3) Dropped the egg order off for lady across the road.
4) Went to mum and dad's to drop of wet washing (still waiting for tumble dryer to be mended) and took them wine yeast as they're making perry on a small scale and also some walnuts.
5) Tasty tea of pasta with a sauce from chicken, bacon, garlic, cream and grated cheddar. Yoghurt and raspberries for pudding.
6) Went on a drive (practice for bigger son) as he found a driving licence earlier today and we thought we would return it (to Malvern). I don't think he realises how suspicious he looks - 6 feet tall, dark with a tooth missing! He said the person's name when he got to the house and the dad said, "No, I don't know him". When he showed him the driving licence, the man was less terrified and very pleased!12 -
My Uncle has been managing prostate cancer for a few years. My Dad told me he doesn't look well at all having lost alot of weight. Recently been passing blood. This is not a pleasure, more a relief.........he was born in Cyprus now living there. They just launched their own NHS and they are acting quickly for my Uncle. Operation Sunday for what they think are polyps in bladder. I really feel like having a massive cry just from worry.
Thankfully my brother is stable.
My brother staying with me continues to be happy. We are slowly sorting through some issues. 2 minute conversations are best unless he wants to express himself. Small steps but important ones.
Tiggy remains my constant.
Was supposed to start a get healthy regime 1st October. Instead am constantly eating tasty rubbish. The pleasure is I enjoy the taste. Oh well, still have clothes that fit !
Sweet dreams

1. Another day over at work. Sorted out some problems with my annual leave.
2. The lady looking for her car in the car park found it. She was sure she had parked somewhere completely different to where she had.
3. Cooked tea with leeks from the garden.
4. Next door need to put up and rep a fence up between our houses as part of their planning approval.
5. Text messages with a friend.
6. Reading my book. I'm starting to enjoy reading again as can concentrate better.13 -
D Doll - I hope DD continues to improve.
Bala - lots of worries about various men in your family. It's good that the brother staying with you is continuing to flourish in your company.
Yesterday
Went to the nearby outlet village, just for a walk really. Bought a few more bits for DGD birthday, and some chocolate for us!
Lovely unexpectedly sunny day so did a bit more tidying in the garden. Warm days at this time of year are a bonus.
Had to start on steroids as nasal polyps really flared up. Side effects of steroids are not a pleasure, but being able to taste and smell things certainly is. Very aware they compromise the immune system though so will be super cautious this week.
Got a new cafetiere. A shiny stainless steel one as we seem to have a knack of breaking glass ones! Proper coffee again. And I can taste it. ( For this week at least!)
Garden is very wet this morning but the sun is coming out so I'll risk wishing you .....
Happy 🌞 day everyone14 -

Ooh the siren call of a Persephone catalogue Broomstick!
Bala, sorry to hear about your Uncle but good progress with resident brother.
For yesterday,
Busy, stock up kind of day, firstly a visit to emporium where there was a decent haul of rtc goods including salmon, couple of packs now residing in our freezer.Next on to farm shop for meat, veg etc and then home via the village for eggs.
Quick cuppa then heaved to with the hoover, changed the bag and remembered to drip some essential oil in there, helps with any potential dog smell.
Squirrel Nutkin is constant visitor to garden, there is a worn path between the walnut tree at the side of the field and our hedge, goodness knows how many nuts are buried in our lawn!
Easy tea of cold meat from Sunday’s joint with various bits of veg.
Watched Uni Challenge then read until bedtime, currently on GK Chesterton.14 -
Good Luck VJM. x

Coffee! We did not tax the tea not too drunk it!It is all about the BoP!
Not watched the challenge of uni next! That is on the record box! But we did watch some more of the Grand Tour. Wobbleades were consumed with cheese and nuts!
Had the stuffed mushrooms for dinner last day. Flat mushrooms, dipped into the garlic (keeps vampires away), toasted with cheese and bits of the chilli flakes. Quick simple and no toadstools were damaged! Water was drunked.
Now I is has the elevenses, two cakes of Jaffa, one chocklate finger and a wafer as well! Not all at once though!
Now is a dilemma about dinner, butt I thinks it will bee a fishcake and some peas! Salmon fish cakes.

Sorry VJsmum but your extra letters made me laugh !Not done half of what I’d intended however it’s been an okay day.Up early and had a lovely chat with friend from Melbourne . I was recounting our first few get togethers as I’ve been recently re-reading about them!Still to encounter Pirate Pete yet...I’m at November 2011 so far ! Work was a joy apparently!Went to look for wallpaper today. Kind of know what I’d like but yet to see it. Bought chalk paint to paint a mirror for DD2 and to get it out of the blooming hallway and back in her room but dozed off instead of painting,
Popped up to drop off something with a friend and chatted at doorstep.
was a lovely morning but a few showers this afternoon.Nice doggy company as always.Son’s made the dinner so very nice nachos.13 -
DD so worrying, I hope you can get results soon for peace of mind.
For yesterday
1 Minimal cleaning done, used the hand held pet vacuum to make the place look clean…
2 Walked up the P/O with an animal, but also met another lovely local character.
3 Continued latch hooking the small rug.
4 Meal planned by going through the freezer and felt inspired, as we have some rtc mistake sausages from a long time ago, so thought I would defrost them and turn them into meatballs tomorrow. Tonight was faggots.
5 Applied for a great looking local role.
For today
1 I cancelled the Mr T order as I was struggling to met their min order, and then they had numerous bits unavailable.
2 Made up for the cleaning today various bits achieved does look better.
3 The garlic pesto pasta with meatballs made a nice change.
4 I’m cutting out all snacks for a little while as I feel uncomfortable weight wise, pleasure making the decision, sticking to it is harder as both DH and I snack, so I’m also making mealtimes a bit later to try and combat it just to test it out, but I need to be careful with his diabetes for meal times also.
5 Sorted out winter boots, I purchased some cheap ones last year and they are only any good for around the garden here, which is fine as we often end up out there even in the cold.
