Frith we are in Cadgwith Cove on the Lizard Peninsular 😊
Lovely to be on holiday and OH is having a well deserved rest after no breaks and working really hard keeping our local Country park clean and safe
Lots of walks by the coast in the bracing fresh air!
Lovely food prepared and eaten in our cottage as we didn’t really enjoy going to the pub, usually love it but just not the same at the moment
Stepping out of the patio doors, down a few steps and onto the pebble beach, with the sea rushing in, cliffs to the left and The Todden (a little sticky out bit,) to the right
Clotted cream on scones, jam first, after all we are in Cornwall! 😊15 -
Cadgwith Cove was one of our favourite places ,we loved the Lizard especially Poldhu Cove .
Thanks for bringing back many happy memories15 -
So glad someone is having a well deserved holiday that sounds sublime. I can live vicariously through that.
DD you must be so worried. Hope your daughter recovers quickly. Big hug. xAKA : Bala La Boo & Bala Baloo
According to a lovely poster I am Bala the Brave who wrestled a Tiger. You know who you are.....
I HAVE A GOLD STAR and A MEDAL and a Title !15 -
Cadgwith. That’s the one! We stayed at the pub (can’t remember the name now), looking out over the harbour and parking wherever we could. We went to Kynance Cove, Lizard Point and bigger son practised jumping off the harbour at Mousehole.14

Woke up this morning bit ruff withs me coff, but has me honey monster foods and milk. Putts the ruff inntoo BoP. Then took BoPsie to her Salt Mine this morning with her pack up of decent bits and three cakes of Jaffa! Then wents to the A1D! to gets the shop inn. It is free and easy at that time inn the morning as the rush and worriers are at the mills.
Now back to the Palace of BoP, and the elevenses! Three cakes of Jaffa today just like BoPsie, mug of tea and Kitty doing her yellow thing training today after getting both the goooners and hatters correct at the weakened. Soon bee time for me lunch!
On about the decent foods, we had the pork loins yesterday for dinner, with stiffing and a snorker! Served with the doorstop carrots and brokalee! Pan gravy was made with the onions! Rite tasty.
Watched the cricket yesterday, eventually and good to see Notts! win. I knows I wis on abouts Samit Patel the other day, but Gareth Batty is even older, but not the same class? Good game, cocoa and buttered crumpet was had.

Art'nnoon all - apologies, my laptop has developed a stammer. Hopefully it will play nice and not be too difficult to read.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. a day with nothing to do, but i'm not very good at that. Friends came for coffee
2. Did a circuit by the sea alone and then later annnother onne with OH.
3. During the earlier one, i saw dolphins out in the bay!!
4. Cooked salmon for tea with apple crumble for pud.
5. OH watched the villa - what a score!! Unbelievable.
Have a great evening all - laptop played quite nicely after all. On our way home right now with first online teaching starting tomorrow.
I wanna be in the room where it happens15 -
And hurrah the workety work is all done . In early and out later again so a few extra pounds earned.Busy enough day without being crazy and rather good tips so that’s always nice!I enjoy my two days and I like who I was working with today. Good banter back and forth.Met a good friend as I was coming out so stood and chatted with her for 10 minutes and caught up on each other’s news.Got some RTC red roses .Was a very foggy doggy walk this morning ( don’t really like fog) but had cleared by the time I was going to work.Nice doggy welcome home and he’s currently at my feet!14

Evening all
I have no idea where the last two days have gone.
Paulie, add me to the list of people who have virtually joined you on holiday. In my youth, I walked a large chunk of the Cornish Coastal footpath including Cadgwith and I'd love to be back.
BoP, sounds like you are an expert. When did they reduce the number of cakes of Jaffa from 12 to 10 in a box? I haven't bought any in years but I did the other day and I think I was robbed.
Sue, more virtual hugs and strength winging their way to you.
Five recent pleasures:-
1. Lovely Persephone Books catalogue in the post. I'd fallen off their mailing list so I've now reinstated myself.
2. Finished the second of the Home Fires audio books. They were a distraction but very enjoyable. The next one is apparently due to be published in January. I'm now on the Attenborough that I got on Audible the other day.
3. Staying tonight at my parents' flat. Builders are arriving tomorrow to sort out some structural stuff. It was on my 'to do' list but the neighbours have accelerated getting the problem sorted which is great. We don't have to pay anything either.
4. Afternoon nap.
5. Tricolore salad for lunch (tomato, mozzarella, avocado and basil and lots of pepper and olive oil) only the basil had died and I forgot to order avocado so it was only two-coloured but it was very nice.
Sweet dreams
B x
