Sorry to hear that, Bala - what a worry.14

Bala - sorry to hear that. Thinking of you.
1. Enjoyed an early morning walk to the post box. Very peaceful and stopped to watch the goats in the field.
2. Long chat with my neighbour.
3. Time in the garden with lots of drinks of herbal tea to keep warm. DH did lots of jobs so house looks better. Guttering cleaned, overflow pipes lagged and a couple of tiles replaced. It makes a high difference to the house.
4. Listening to the wood pigeon. I love the sound.
5. Roast beef for tea. Made by DS2 and his girlfriend. Very tasty and good chat too.
6. DS1 went out on another date.15 -
Sorry to hear your worrying news Bala, hope things are a tad better this morning x
For yesterday,
Didn’t sleep very well so up early but pleasure of first cuppa of the day and cuddles with small dog.
Busy old morning getting things ready for lunch as we had visitors, lots of veg chopping involved and rushing so knife slipped a tad, pleasure was painful cut but not as bad as could have been and no trip to A&E required.
Both hollow legged ones plus lovely gf had a meal with us, thought would be good idea before restrictions change. We ate on trays in front of tv as footie on, good news is that beloved is still talking to youngest after late minute pen!
Small dog was happy to have so many of her favourite humans around at once, she goes from one to the other getting her rightful fuss and attention.
Watched Bob and Paul do their thing fishing, last in series, they never last long enough.

Great nieces’s 11th birthday 🎂 party, only 6 of us instead of usual crowd but nice nibbles and chocolate birthday cake 😊

Happy Monday all 😊13 -
Oh, Bala - big frights for you and indeed, bless the NHS for your brother's safe keeping. Strongest recovery hopes.
Frith - similar for son, for dental progress and washing machine.

2. Eight jars of apple, grape, thyme + rosemary jelly, everything &-grown. Faff and fiddle, pulp all down on compost now. Circles of life.
3. Dreadful pic, as norm. for &(def. not a bop professional), but first-time clematis flowers are out. Fabulously purple.
4. Very patchy zoom service yesterday, but still good to join in, wearing jumper from slightly rainy chilly outside.
Won't work otherwise. Big online 'attendance', circa 50. Good reference was made to yesterday being Refugee and Migrant Sunday.
5. Rugby club marathon helping on Saturday really was in all ways great on a foul day, which may have helped runners. Then headed to late rugby watch in The Alma. New father/patron joined &. Pilou!Pilou! - &'s beloved Toulon beat Leicester tiggers.

Morning all
Bala - what a worry, thinking of you.
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Busy busy busy. Still 'have' to be doing something, it seems. Painted the ancient garden chair - looks much better and may 'do' for a couple more years. Finished conservatory dining chair - also looking much better. Hoping OH will see it and ask for the others to be done also (pine, chipped and faded but he's so far refused to let them be done saying he 'likes' them). Oiled the legs of other garden furniture, picked up leaves and did some weeding / dead heading. Phew!
2. Just lovely to be outside in mostly warm(ish) sunshine. what a difference from last weekend though.
3. DD helped me to get the chest of drawers down from the bedroom and i painted that. Previously it was 'nougat' a kind of pinky plastery colour. it is now 'mother duck' a bluey green (or greeny blue).
4. Steak for tea - yummy and i cooked it perfectly
5. OH is in ICT and 'commuted' to his blockpost sat among the chairs and tables on a waggonLooks so daft in the picture with his cycle helmet on and his bike piled on top of the furniture.
Have a great day.
I wanna be in the room where it happens13 -
Bala. What a worry. I hope better news is on its way.
We've come to our caravan. The site doesn't shut until the end of November but we're worried another lockdown might mean we can't get back to turn everything off for winter ( and empty the freezer!)
Beautiful autumn weather for a walk along the seafront. I love to be beside the sea.
DH drove here. Only 3 weeks since his operation so he's doing well.
And now a nice chilled crossword/ reading afternoon
Happy 🌞day everyone

We received a knock on the door from the neighbour, DH is friends with her brother who lives the next door down, he was ambulanced to hospital, now he’s conscious, he wanted to make sure we knew. They don’t know what’s wrong but he’s come around and lost his short term memory. In our way of dealing with things, it sent us into a cleaning frenzy. It’s only when something like that happens we realise we do think a lot of them.
1 3 loads of washing hanging out in the sun.
2 DH and I set to on the front and back gardens, I mowed the front garden and tidied it up to make it inviting. Then we set to on the back garden pruning back mint and Passiflora and generally tidying up, while DH re-laid some paving slabs, as we’ve trampled the grass in the back I decided to put off mowing to tomorrow.
3 All leftovers used up bread and ham used up for lunch, sausages used up in a pasta bake for tea.
4 Sherbet, picked up on us being worried, and made sure to stay by our sides. They are amazing when they pick up on emotion.
5 Asda have extended our priority delivery slots, which is lovely while their deliveries are very hit and miss, its nice to know we have access.
