1 I waited for the garden to dry a little before mowing it. Several loads of washing bought in and hung out.
2 Cooked up some Cinnabon’s, the house smelled lovely, also made some mincemeat and oat cakish things to snack on in the afternoon.
3 Once I got on with deep cleaning I was on a roll, everything out of the bathroom cupboards, cupboards cleaned and things back in. While on a roll in the lounge I took all the nik naks off the welsh dresser, washed them and polished the dresser up.
4 I didn’t plan out dinner tonight, from was an oven pizza.5 A chat with a friend.

Hello. Just finished watching GBBO...was interrupted several times by a delivery and the return of two noisy children. So it’s taken 90 minutes to watch.Beautiful day. Lovely doggy walks.Washing out and mainly dry.Friend dropped stuff off ( from catering I did the other week) ‘I think that was your bag’ No but I rather like it! In return I gave her a jacket and 2 pairs of jeans that have not fitted me in a gazillion years and a bag of kids shoes that were given to me to give to her...anyway less clutter in my house! Finally sold my table that I’d put up for sale online, grrrrr I hate it! ( the selling/ the waiting for replies/ then the actual waiting/ the will you take less money than you’re asking ( eh no) / the I can take it but not till next week) 26 people asked for it today and I had to reply and say I was waiting on first person . Anyway it’s gone. It covers the cost of the new bench I bought last week.Went as far as local supermarket. On our local FB chat page someone was offering a bedside table / low drawers for free so that was kindly dropped off tonight and will go in DD1 room .Had to go to vets to pick up dogs meds for the next month . A very random £98.09 . Just as well I love him. Was very busy . Everything is done out in car park ( obviously animals are seen inside) tablets dropped into a box at the doorway. Anyway he also got his worm and flea treatments which are like dog treats instead of tablets, yummy and so much easier to take!DD1 friend who stayed with us a few weeks ago is now back home after two weeks quarantine, I’m glad she’s back safe and sound.13

And to add I’ve now gone back in time even further to when I first started writing my 5 OSP ( December 2010) so enjoying happier times ...was then moaning about the heat, the price of bananas and apples, though especially bananas as the crops had been decimated by huge cyclones in the north. Was not driving but partaking of the bus at top of the hill and going into town ( which we then later moved down to ) to use the free internet and air con in library and watching Casualty! And usually going go the beach at the weekend! Sigh!13

Bala - I hope everything improves soon for your brother. It sounds a little like my grandma had in her 60s - no symptoms then a sudden collapse and an enormous ulcer discovered. She needed 5 units of blood transfused and was very poorly for a week or so. (She was then fit and well until she was 92).
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Bigger son is 20! I bought him chocolate, some nice ground coffee and the Haynes manual for his car.
2) We went out for breakfast.
3) Popped to my parents' so they could say happy birthday. Their neighbours were there (we all sat in the garden) and the lady neighbour said to bigger son, "Have you had an accident?" when she saw his face/teeth. I think it is better that people ask then staring or recoiling in horror. He is very scarred (despite stitches falling out) and of course the teeth look poor.
4) Hens well.
5) We went to the forest after lunch so he could build a bike jump. He went to test it with a friend later.
6) Chinese takeaway for tea! Smaller son decorated a cake ready for our return from the Chinese.
7) Watched GBBO.13 -

Frith, if I haven't said it, so sorry re son's accident. Was thinking about you today when I was buying eggs !
Have been using lots of distractions the last few days. Tiggy must be surprised over the amount of frequent short walks she is getting. No complaints there
Have been trying to master slow cooking but also managed to melt the casing on the 20 year old appliance. Interesting to read about other people's love of this form of cooking. I can create very tasty meals on the whole but to be honest am not a keen cook so have been researching what to buy. Looking forward to starting the day with preparing hearty stews and soups for the winter. Also batch cooking although I need a bigger freezer.
My Flo continues to delight me. Just as a test/curiosity I put out a bowl of stock from the boiled chicken and veg I cooked for Tiggy. I added this to the customary bowls of food and fresh water. My clever girl dunked in the stock. Then finished the meal with fresh water. I am so proud....................
Am picking my Dad up from airport in about 24 hours. Trains and taxis unfortunately. His brother not well so am glad they had a good 4 weeks together before another lockdown. Will be sending my brother home with Dad. OH being really testy and I don't want to say something I might regret. Mum sent substantial money to OH for my brother. So I won't be hearing everyday ...........' thanks, that was the best meal, can I have it tomorrow ?'..........so sweet.
And finally. I continue to feed my wee fox. Watched her bouncing on the lawn. Have no idea what she was doing. Play ?
2 nights ago I put out some chicken skins for her. Never know what to do with them. They were gone within 5 minutes. Feel I have another watcher................
Hope you are having the sweetest dreams

For yesterday,
Beloved had another day off, he has a lot of time to use up with no holidays or cricket to watch.
We braved the rain and went to cathedral city, long visit to our favourite bookshop and a treat from the chocolate shop, just the smell when you step inside is worth the petrol money!
We were going to walk down to the river but by then the rain was coming down in stair rods so headed home for lunch.
Small dog had a visit from the mobile grooming parlour.
and one for Bala, a clever crow sitting on a telephone wire and dropping what looked like a walnut on the path below, he had to do it three times before it cracked but he got his prize in the end.13 -
