Enjoyed my day.
1. Coffee with a friend. Good catch up and she is so much happier now her divorce is being sorted.
2. Text messages with another friend.
3. Long chat with my Mum on the phone.
4. Spent time in the garden - clearing a bit of the vegetable patch and turning some of the compost.
5. Attempted a conversation next door but one neighbour have up. It was so windy we couldn't hear each other even when shouting!
6. DS1 went to look at furniture bits for his flat. He has the basics in storage but is looking for shelving units and things to make it a home.

For yesterday,
Very cold and windy first thing so heating on for an hour.
Over to see girlie, being a Saturday the school was busy and with the number of branches coming down I didn’t fancy a trip out so it was pamper time for her. She then munched hay whilst I sorted through my tack box for my thick gloves and punched holes in our side reins.
Out to emporium, picked best time as quiet and no sign of panic buying with good supplies of everything.Chat with eldest niece, she had done a wedding that day and has two more booked for next month but many of her brides have moved their big day.
Cosy evening at home, candles lit and I cooked a curry.15 -
Pleasures yesterday....
Took dog out for early walk, we had the football field to ourselves.
Pretty clouds in the sky in the early morning, tinged with pink.
Back home, back into bed for a while with herbal tea and radio.
Delivery from online butcher received, stored in freezer, new freezer list printed off. I love a good list.
The satisfaction of knowing there are a few weeks' worth of meals in store.
Real fresh ground coffee whilst doing online singing tutorial. We are starting Lean on Me this week.
Home made chicken curry and rice for lunch, followed by homemade white chocolate, mango and ginger cheesecake.
Continuing my Mabon cleaning programme, a room each day, finishing each room with a quick white sage incense smudge to bring blessings on the room.
Did an online Tesco order, delivery slots are going fast but I got a Click and Collect slot for Thursday. Added a 5kg bag of chapati flour, which I am using for cakes and breads. For £3 a 5 kg bag you can't go wrong.
Watching highlights of Strictly Cone Dancing on telly.
Bed early with library book in dead tree format, Classic FM playing. One life - your life - live it!16 -
Any Wool with that?

Snorker casseroles, coffees and buzzard curries, but is cheese cake really just mousse on broken biscuits?Putt that down, hears yours BoP Bites!
Great deals for you with BoP this day, started offs with some haricot has bins on toast! Well I mesred the refrigerator yesterday morning and forgets I had some open in the tub! Art'noon all. I'm taking 5 while watching paint dry (i'm upcycling my chest of drawers - again!)
Pleasures for yesterday
1. Upcycled a garden chair that has very few years left - used up some old dry paint on its undercoat (top coated this morning). Also redid a conservatory dining chair.
2. Washing on the line
3. Made a mask for OH watching a previously unseen 'long lost family'.
4. Had a curry takeaway for tea - the joy in the voice of the restaurant owner when i said our name was fab "oooooohhhhh hello madam how are YOU?? And the mister? and the children?"
5. Lit the woodburner.
Have a great rest of weekend.I wanna be in the room where it happens15 -
Hello. Day one of workety work done, waaah it was a very busy one! My busiest cook so far ( by five meals) so need to go in a bit earlier tomorrow to replenish!Cold and frosty start and had a lovely walk over the field and back with doggy. Then had to scrape car ( but I knew I’d probably have to and had factored that in my time!)
Got a washing out as I new it would be a nice day so it was all dried when I came home.Decent tips though there’s no rhyme nor reason to the actual busyness / amount of tips ratio. I think more folk pay by card rather than cash now but it’s always nice to get and it’s not a given that we do! Anyway they’re added to the jars!Hot shower and jammies on and sat in front of the fire warming up.14 -
Evening all
I do like reading your pleasures
Five of mine for Sunday:
1. Very clear waxing moon tonight.
2. Speedy stirfry and noodles for lunch.
3. All Creatures Great and Small.
4. Pleased with myself because I've cleared yet more paperwork (there's heaps more to do but babysteps...)
5. Hearing the sound of an ice cream van this afternoon. I think it's the first I've heard this year!
Sweet dreams

Pleasures for today (Sunday)
1) A lie in.
2) Bigger son had a lovely day making a new mountain bike course in the forest. Smaller son has also been quite jolly.
3) I spent about an hour digging and clearing bits of the allotment. Hens were pleased at this. 3 out of 4 now venture out of their run to join me in the digging. Had a few tomatoes, raspberries and yet more runner beans.
4) Roast beef for tea.
5) A series of disasters this afternoon! I decided to catch up on the washing and do a big roast plus make a boiled fruit cake. Firstly, the washing machine now displays an error code so I had to spend over an hour on hold to Currys. Repairperson is coming out on Thursday. Next - the water went off! It does from time to time (electric pumps to get it up the hill). Thirdly, I emptied the cake mixture into the tin, carried it across the kitchen and put it on the oven shelf - and the sprung base wasn't "sprung" enough! So I had to leave that dribbling into the oven while I grabbed another cake tin and then pretty much threw the cake mix into that. Of course, that tin was bigger in circumference so the cake wasn't as deep so the top burned...
6) Did the online pub quiz.
7) Did a Prolific survey (I keep not pressing to join fast enough).
8) Will watch Whitehouse and Mortimer go fishing just now.
9) Amused myself just now by looking at photos of bigger son in the past (will put some on Facebook for his birthday this week). I had forgotten what his front teeth were like (he now has none on the right and about 4mm on the left) - its like looking at one of the Beegees in those old photos! He's going for a denture fitting on Friday.

sorry about mariners bop normal service to be restored
many thanks to kitty for her support, sadly not enough this time round . WW next Saturday.
1) up bright eyed and bushy tailed for 9am service where i was on door duty. mum very kindly gave me a lift
2) then coffee with mum (she's in my bubble) and a friend from church
3) then mr t on the way home cos i needed another sack of dog food. there was a big bag of carrots in the ys for 17pm would have been rude not to!
4) so carrot, ginger and apricot soup for lunch. yum. This is #22 from my soup book since lockdown
5) lovely walk with the dogs and gbf. i took a bag and did another litter pick - 7 glass bottles (!) and quite a few other bits and pieces. just one mask.
6) then down to mennies for the leicester game. friend was there on his own so i asked if i could join him. Another friend was joining him for the woves game at which point i moved to a table on my own. All very strange, but all worked out fine.
7) then home for supper (i had let dd2 know i was staying till 10 but unfortunately i mistyped 19 so she was very confused!) anyway, yummy steak pie and veg plated up and in the microwave. she's a star.

My sister called in the early hours of the morning as one of my other brothers was being rushed to hospital. He has multiple stomach ulcers assumed to be caused by a very strong prescribed painkiller. They burst, massive internal bleeding. Organs started to shut down so he is now very yellow and weak. Bleeds cauterised, he is in an acute ward. Sorry for shorthand explanation but don't want to start crying. 'Worry' does not begin to describe today.
The pleasure, gratitude and relief you will understand. A fabulous sister that stayed with our SIL for over 12 hours. She kept the whole family posted at regular intervals, even those abroad. Her husband, always a tremendous support. I could go on but am exhausted.
Once again, thank you NHS.
