1 We just picked up the most gorgeous boy from the vets, he’s timid, skinny and has a lot of ticks, we will take off when they become visible, He’s just getting the lay of the land. But he seems blumin gorgeous, , I’m already going through names. He needs to relax and eat a bit, he hasn’t stopped eating since getting here yet.
2 Dinner erm, is all of the leftovers in the fridge in one bowl heated up, I am a bit worried about the mix but it seems to have worked, basically L/O bits of curry, potato, soup and chicken all in one heated through.
3 Watered the garden just a little, as Its bone dry.
4 Offered to do something for the inlaws which then took DH and I about 7 hours to get sorted!
5 The joy of a bath after a hot day.

Keep going, SuffolkSue. You're doing a wonderful job.
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Bigger son managed to book his driving test - early November - in Ludlow, which was his number 1 choice of venue.
3) Hens OK.
4) Uphill neighbour says I can pop round and pick damsons tomorrow, while he's at work. He's had an offer on his house, which has been on the market around 5 days.
5) Did a roast at lunchtime, as we would be busy this evening. Pork, roast pots, carrots, PSB, stuffing, courgette and gravy.
6) An interesting afternoon with smaller son. We went to look round the college he might be going to this year. We were early so went to look at the new Parkway station first (a bleak hole!) College was massive as it is 3 former commercial units knocked together. It still looks a bit commercial, with about 57 toilets! They have to decide whether they can offer him a place (as he comes with a long list of things that must be provided for him) but he was very polite looking round. He will be taught core subjects 1 to 1 but was interested in the PE provision, all the break out rooms (with gaming facilities) and so on. When we mentioned his former school, one man showing us round muttered something dark about the Head there (now the ex-head, after an absolutely damning Ofsted) and the other teacher who asked us said, "Oh, GOD!" If they can offer him a place, we just need to get County to pay for it...
7) A tasty quick tea of noodles with mushrooms and tomatoes.13 -
Suffolksue - thinking of you. You are doing fantastically well do not feel guilty.
Cranky thinking of you.
1. Messaging a friend throughout the day at work. It kept me going.. I seemed to be the person who others wanted to offload on and it felt exhausting.
2. Enjoyed the wrap I had taken for lynch.
3. Arranged an oestopath appointment. It's Sunday but it's made.
4. I watered the garden which is quite therapeutic. Makes you aware of how plants are growing.
5. Watched rugby and we won. Not a pretty win by any means but it was another win.12 -
Let us see what goes here!
It is incredible today that I am as old as the Battle of Britain Veterans were in 1980. And in 1980 I was as young as those that served during the Battle of Britain!

BoP had to relax later and open it for her. She flew inn giving it watt four! Chelp licks I has not herd for a while. Tring inn again today! BoP rules apply!

Hello. Just came to bed for an early night, everyone’s in, dogs had a good run round allotment and it’s dark!car to garage for MOT. Needs a bit of work so staying in overnight and get it back tomorrow. New to me garage and chap seems a good sort.
DD2 followed me down ( just as well) she went and got her nails done and I had a mooch round charity shops. Got two jumpers. A shirt and a pair of jeans. And a little Burleigh ware sugar dish and milk jug.Oh...and also a three piece suite! Saw it in a charity shop that does furniture as well as clothes so it’s getting delivered next week and will do a turn for us. Almost the same colour as the doggy so shouldn’t show up as much as the duck egg blue one does! Old sofa has served us well but getting rather past their best.A lovely quick walk with doggy at lunchtime. Sun shining . Blue sky and birds singing.
A bit of pottering around through afternoon. Hoovered downstairs and upstairs. Washings out and back in. Was very humid.Phoned the mother...when I suggested she ask my brother to take her to supermarket ...oh he already does so much running around for me ...Er, no he doesn’t! Sigh!Nice chat to friend on phone.Went to allotment in DD2 car....me and the dog squeezed in the back of the mini as his car harness was in my car...great after he’d been in the pond several times. Think I was as wet as he was! My beds are awash with weeds but also two big courgettes and some random spuds ( thought I’d got them all) and a lovely bunch of wildflowers from my plots. Not been in weeks as my foot has been sore ( sorry for going on and on but it impacts in much I do! )
Watched the sunset through my big window in extension.Son home. He’s been away a few days.Thought the dog had eaten one of OH’s big thick hiking socks I wear as kind of slipper socks. Much alarm as there was no way that was coming out ( either end ) without a fight! Phew when I found it!10 -
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Hens OK. Plenty of courgettes, tomatoes and some lovely raspberries.
3) House reasonably tidy and all washing was up to date.
4) Popped to Lidl.
5) Bigger son did some steaks for dinner with blue cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms, eggs and onion rings.
6) Later in the afternoon, we all went out to fly the drones.
7) A funny phone call from the SENDIASS (special needs helping out) lady. I will go over to help from the solicitor tomorrow but she has been very good, and very amusing!
8) Bigger son has gone out with his friends to lie in the hammocks (big Forestry Commission forest near us). Smaller son and I had sausages for tea, with roast veg etc then the nice raspberries with yoghurt and honey.
9) Just did a Prolific survey so that's another £3.50 that will eventually go into the mortgage pot.
10) No longer in chronological order, as I forgot, but went next door to pick damsons (he did give me the ok, yesterday!) Was funny to go in the garden again, 4 years after MrN left. It is looking a lot better, to be fair!11 -
Pleasures today......
As ever, lovely walk with dog, who enjoyed herself trying to herd a golden retriever.
Singing practice, always uplifting.
Had a go at Bollywood dance for some exercise.
Lunch on the patio for possibly the last time this year. Sausage pasta, salad, red wine, cake, ice cream, coffee. I asked Alexa to play Italian music and it came up with a playlist called Italian Classics, really good.
Junior cat on the sun lounger, decided it was too hot so he got off and lay underneath. I got on the lounger and ended up dozing in the sunshine.
Same junior cat now sprawled across my lap, asleep. Senior one sprawled at the bottom of the bed, dog under the bed. We're all listening to Classic FM.One life - your life - live it!14 -

Okay
news on the hoooman watch.
Started noticing that my crows were arriving with food in their beaks. Don't know what it was but they used the water bowl I supply and freshen everyday to dunk and soak. It's almost as if they go shopping in the area and prefer my water.
OH called me to the kitchen about an hour go as outside light was on. And there she was, my young female cub on the table eating the bird seed. She spat half of it out and I don't blame her. Even my wood pigeons aren't keen so have to rethink things. Thought it was healthier for them than the seeded bread I offer. Anyway, after she had thoroughly checked the table she proceeded to squat over the food bowl but it moved and scared her. So she then went to do the same to the water bowl but I knocked on the window and she scarpered. No more poohing please......................
Have put some kibble out for her. She is so tiny and pretty.
Nighty night...........
