ooohhhhhhhhh Happycas
haven't seen one for years and years. How wonderful.
Picked blackberries and sorted bins for my lovely neighbour. She broke her arm about 6 weeks ago. Flipping marvelous how loads of neighbours turned up to help with all sorts of things. Found out she will be 90 soon. Giddy Aunt.........she is so much younger..........
She wanted me to get rid of a tin box that formerly held M&S chocolates. Not on your Nellie ! I love boxes/tins and have plans to create 'emergency' boxes for all the drivers in my family after my Dad got stuck on a motorway recently. The 'supplies' will include chocolates............
Had plans for light meal today but no.............tuna pasta it is............
Gave Tiggy a walking break today. And did loads of research on suppliments for her. Have ordered some.
Have lovely evening

Hello. Just in from the last doggy walk. We’ve been dry but very breezy ( as in a cool breeze) all day. Much washing done!Nice doggy walk this morning.
More tidying done. Upstairs hoovered then downstairs. Blooming dog!Bathrooms cleaned .Front of house glass cleaned .Friend popped in this afternoon with some flowers which was lovely. Just in for 10 minutes...ahem! A bit longer, much to chat about.Pizza for tea.
Had been watching an Australian drama but what a disappointment the last episode was! Pfft!14 -
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) A lie in.
2) Sausage sandwiches for breakfast. (A strange mixture of meals today, but we needed room in the freezer following the marathon curry cooking yesterday).
3) Hens OK.
4) Took some courgettes down to the allotment owner.
5) Trumpet fanfare - smaller son met his school friend, for the first time since March! They stopped out for 2.5 hours (longest smaller son has been out of the house for this year) and he has been very jolly since.
6) Bigger son and I stayed in town (as it is a 25 mile round trip) but left smaller son and his friend to their own devices. We flew the drone round and about and made a film for the museum where I was helping out earlier this year. We then moved on to the football ground, and thought we would make a film of it for smaller son... When we picked him up, he said he and his friend had walked along the footpath to the football ground to inspect the new grass and a DRONE had gone overhead! They thought it would be us and presumed we were filming them so they ran away! By chance, bigger son and I had decided to stop filming the football ground and go over the steam railway yard but smaller son thought we were following him so they kept running! In fact, we hadn't spotted them on the camera at all!
7) After the filming, bigger son and I popped to Aldi then still had ages to wait for smaller son so went to the independent coffee shop and it seemed almost normal sitting outside having a pot of tea.
8) Bigger son has been out all evening with his friends having a takeaway so I have done various jobs round the house and ordered smaller son's birthday card.
9) The shower is broken beyond repair but by chance, as it is out of the ark, managed to find an identical unused one on Facebook marketplace for £60. Just got to pay someone to swap the old for the new now.
10) In bed with 1hwb under the new (charity shop) duvet cover of fairly realistic pheasant and partridge. It does feel like I'm in a hunting lodge but I'm quite pleased with it. Will watch Holby in a minute.13 -
For yesterday
1. Enjoyed walk to and from work or at least from where I parked the car. Admiring some of the gardens I passed.
2. Better mix of people at work so much improved atmosphere. Spoke with some lovely people on the phone.
3. Started my new request for flexible working. It may take a while to finish!
4. Long chat with my parents it was their wedding anniversary. They had been out for the day.
5. Time spent in the garden. Sat in the sun where we had moved a bench to. A suntrap in early evening.12 -
For yesterday,
Bright but very breezy day, a good drying day and took advantage.
Leaning against my horse’s flanks, emptying my head of all worries and just being for a while.
Had forgotten to get a cucumber day before so picked one up at the farm stall, 30p and not a bit of plastic in sight.
Seeing straw bales in field and remembering that it’s Lughnasadh this weekend, changed out candles on hearth to yellow & orange ones.
Made a loaf plus spicy nuts for snacking.

Morning all - a little overcast here which is ok as i'm trying to get my corrections done today and tomorrow. The sun is due tomorrow afternoon - it's a race against time LOL
Pleasures for Monday
1. OH got home ok after a 6 and a half hour marathon bus and train journey. Transport for Wales (TfW) are making it virtually impossible to go on the train so we are not bothering - and after that will be mainly driving (it's 3 hours' drive and 4 hours on the train..).
2. Finished the marking - unless there's complaints (which there might be as it was a nightmare). Also wrote two assignments for elsewhere
3. Did a circuit once the sun came out - the morning was horrifically wet
4. Interesting food as i'm trying not to shop but to use stuff up - left over boeuf bourguigonne from Saturday, which was quite small so i added a sausage and some veg. Was yom
5. Finished Anne with an E - a bit sad as it is a beautiful series.
And yesterday
1. Back on the corrections - not as much as i thought left to do but one bit is tricky
2. Washing dried on the line
3. Another circuit - in the sun
4. A pleasant evenign with my Sister in law - sundowners at the cinema bar, takeaway food sat outside the market hall (i had mackerel salad so i didn't have to fret about it getting too cold), cup of tea in her garden and a short walk with Oscar the dog.
5. Back to watch the penultimate of this series of Line of Duty.
Have a great day all.I wanna be in the room where it happens13 -
This has to be reported.
Woke up late so didn't put food out for birds. Went to make coffee for OH and on the fence (the one that the window faces) were Flo, Flossy and Fluffy. All just looking at me. It was like a witches coven. Further along the fence and on top of the garage were 5 wood pigeons.........waiting.
I quickly put out food and water whilst they all waited patiently from a distance. I think I am getting a wee reputation.......
I also felt suitably chastised. It was 11am........more near their dinner time. ooopppsss.............

Getting stuff sore ted for the Docks, where BoP is now semi retired, just collecting his wobbleade chits these days. Means more time to do vet things as well!

Hello. Life seems a little sharper as I type this with my new specs...that would be my sunglasses! The other pair haven’t arrived yet but hurrah sharp letters.Up and down at allotment for 6.45am. Did a bit of weeding though it wasn’t as bad as feared. Picked some spuds. Had dog with me and he just loves it there.
Home and went to supermarket. Had a voucher to use this week.Home and pottered around, a bit of this and a bit of that. Cleaned fridge which should have been a yesterday job but friend popped in.Did a bit out in garden, things I’d been meaning to do ( pruning, cutting back off ground) rescuing wind strewn lavender .Started lawn mowing then it broke down, mid cut...so now there’s a patch in the middle! And the back grass always grows quicker than front if only I’d done it first.DD2 had her debrief after work!Lovely if a tad soggy and splattering mud walk over fields with doggy.12
