1. Went to Scotney Castle and looked round the gardens. It was quiet when we arrived and there were some great views.
2. Back home and DH cut down some dead branches on some trees- more wood for the Fire pit. I did more weeding.
3. Chats with various neighbours and gave them some cherries.
4. Met friends for a meal - great to catch up with them. Did give them some cherries, courgettes and eggs.

Aw, seriously cute pup.
For yesterday,
Early morning cuppa and small dog cuddles.
Sunny but breezy day, three loads of washing done and dried on line.
Bit of a Larkin day, ate, drunk and were generally merry.
Reading in the garden, have become seriously enamoured with the Louise Dalhousie series of books and am rattling through them.
Watched another episode of A Wild Year, this time in the North York Moors.14 -
Morning all - it's been a while..
Pleasures recently
1. walked 32 miles of coast path, including over 5000 feet of climbing! It was beautiful (Bottom of Ceredigion and the top of Pembrokeshire) but it was very hard. the pleasure is that i 'think' that's the toughest stretch of all done.
2. Having the house to myself - it's very quiet.
3. Finishing the marking
4. Strolls by the sea
5. Drinks with Sister in law - in an outside bar - haven't seen her since March
6. Stayed in a b&b - was all very well organised
7. Honey ice cream in ice cream town.
8. The Villa stayed up - this is a pleasure cos it pleased my menfolk
9. Washing drying on the line
10. Nice soak in bath - following the coast path walk - with line of duty.
Have a good day all - pouring down here.I wanna be in the room where it happens14 -
Good afternoon all, pleasures for yesterday....
1. A lazy kind of day
2. Chat with next door neighbour over the garden fence
3. Chat with sister via technology so free
4. Couple of hours of online gaming and chatting with best friend then...
5. Into bed earlyish to read my book.
Take care all of you14 -
Good afternoon
Trip to Sainsbury's this morning. Major roadworks nearby meant the shop was very quiet so a pleasant visit. Got lots of things I've been missing for weeks ( soft brown sugar, risotto rice, ground almonds etc) so quite an expensive shop, but they'll all last for a while.
Made 2 cushion covers yesterday, and a third one ready to make today. All from a pair of very reduced price curtains from Next outlet. Plenty of material left to make other things ( masks, anyone?) so a real ME bargain.
Proper winter tea today ( cottage pie, cabbage, carrots) to match our proper winter weather.
Happy ☔ day everyone14 -
Evening folks
A productive day in the office only three of us in today so not many disruptions and plenty ticked off of my ‘to do’ list.
Weather awful but at least I only have to water the crops in the greenhouse and not the whole garden.
Mr M cooked dinner with a little instruction so came home with nothing to do but relax.
Settled down now with a cup of proper coffee and about to get stuck in to my book.Well Behaved women seldom make history
Early retirement goal... 2026

Tiggy took me down roads new to us. A bit boring today but as she really only goes by her nose now (eyesight rheumy) I let her lead. She is slow as well so am looking into meds for arthiritus. Any tips would be welcome. Have considered CBD oil but am still at research stage.
Am cooking fry up for dinner as the eggs bacon and tomatoes need to be used. We have eaten heavy meals this week so it's soup or salad tomorrow.
Looking forward to getting into my jim jams...........feel really tired today. Must be the weather.
An old friend called me today. It was so great to catch up.
Have a restful evening.

@balabooberlies - we use yumove - it's very good !I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.11
