5 OS pleasures in your day today - part 3

1. Friend popped in to say hello at work - she had tests at the hospital. Had a fairly quick chat.
2. An email I wrote highlighting an issue on Wednesday at work seems to have worked. Mentioning the issue on Wednesday had achieved nothing and left me feeling I was making it up. Emailing my line manager worked wonders.
3. Cooked a couple of courgette dishes. Going to freeze one of them.
4. Accounts are finished and with accountant.
5. Left the best one til last - DS1 has his job back. Starting in 2 weeks so no redundancy so he is happy.13 -
For yesterday,
Hanging the washing out and avoiding all the bees enjoying the clover, we have left our grass longer this year.
Time spent with my equine girlie, thorough groom with a mane & tail trim.
Heart to heart with a friend and was relieved to hear that she shared my concerns over a mutual acquaintance, thought it was just me being overly sensitive but it seems that he has made others feel uncomfortable too, will now act accordingly.
Made a loaf and some smoked paprika hummus.
Picked some poppy heads on evening walk to keep seeds for next year.13 -
Abysmaland?
Oh well, it could have been worse, though the double helter-skelter does it!

To everyone else. Raffles will do his best for a BBQ Saturday!
Now again we haves the BoP events!
BoP starts on the Docks on FryDay, part time now he has slippers and a pipe. Guess I gots out at the rite time! Please note. Bop does not wear a cardigan. Got it? So service from Friday will be slightly differing. More soon! Well I has bin at the Mill and the Salt Mine
Raffles who is doing his buzness this weak! Yesterday he adopted his terminator mode and decimated the vermin population considerably! Though doing so, he is rite on. Hatters and BBQ haves bin sore ted! All sets up for the gooners this evening! Don't know why I do his crunches and meats inn the morning! He was inn a rite strop last nite. Don'ts thinks his treat sticks are too his satisfaction any more!
Watched another After Life last evening. Don't thinks BoP is getting inn too it! Still BoPsie has founds others to watch! Details soon. Cheese was consumed.
Now I has hads mes elevenses of tea and a nice cake of Jaffa! Now is for mes lunch, usuals with ham and today no decent tarts, but an angle slice insteed!
That is it for now!
Are you better off than your Grandmother?

Hello. After a lovely day it’s cooled down and started raining.
Rubbish sleep...son up for loo, dog up to vomit 4 socks...a personal best for him, son up to climb mountains, alarm went off. Repeatedly pressed snooze!Lovely walk with doggy first thing.
Over to friends house to help her out with something different.
Popped into town. Got what I was after then straight home.
washings out. Swept up. Bathrooms cleaned. Dog nose marks wiped off glass.Cut the grass. Was boiling hot by this time but it always looks better once it’s done.
May have snoozed on garden sofa...it’s been a while.Chips for tea.
Popped down to friends with birthday gift . Nice doggy cuddles in return.Just getting home as rain was starting .12 -
Evening all
Pleasures for yesterday
1. good meeting with supervisors - barring disaster my last ever one. They have approved 10 out of 11 of my corrections (only 4 points, DD, but they divided into 11 tasks). the 11th is a relatively small alteration. Then a summary sheet and then i should be done. WIthout marking and nice weather, i'd be done by the end of the week - however there is currently both..
2. DS got his degree - a 2:2. We are very pleased, he's been to hell and back. More importantly he's very proud of himself.
3. Went cycling on our favourite cycle track.
4. Warm sunny weather and the washing dried on the line
5. BBQ at friends house. OH and i walked home - the children had driven back sooner.
And today
1. More sunshine
2. Cracked on with the marking - halfway through
3. a little walk on the beach and tea outside a cafe
4. a drink at one of the only bars with outside space. Wales doesn't allow inside drinking / restaurants. Caught up with some friends. Still distanced
5. Home made fish and chips for tea.
Have a great evening allI wanna be in the room where it happens14 -

Well done, VJ's son! (I am also the holder of a fine Desmond). ICT is sounding lovely.
Pleasures for today (Tuesday).
1) A lie in.
2) Hens are doing well, walking around, 3 eggs. They are not happy, though. Squabbling, complaining and one tried to fly out this evening - I've never seen a hen try to do that. It could only get 1 metre up the fence. It took me half an hour and a good peck in the hand to get them all to go to bed. Weirdly, they are in worse condition and more traumatised than the earlier ex battery hens. They were friendly from day one and would look you in the eye.
3) Bigger son had his hair cut at the barbers! She said I had not done a bad job, but it was a bit steppy!
4) Smaller son and I went to Sainsburys.
5) Watched Holby City.
Might be meeting a friend tomorrow - first time in 4 months that I've met up with a non family member!13 -
VJsmum- congratulations to your son and to you.
1. Work wasn't too bad and felt I was doing my job which hadn't been happening much.
2. Had a nice walk at lunchtime. It was much warmer outside than inside.
3. Arranged to meet friends in Friday. Had some zoom chats with them but will be good seeing them.
4. Huge amount of ironing done while watching the 2012 Olympic highlights that DS1 has recorded and was watching. It did seem very different with no social distancing it masks!
5. Both sons viewing different flats/houses to consider buying on Saturday.14
