Anyone tempted by Tosspots 6 for 25p eggs should see that pic Frith. FYI Prolific surveys are decent although coming into quieter time of year. Have done upwards of £50 per month regularly.
For yesterday,
As per previous post the electricity went off at 8am, by that time I had filled two flasks, made bacon butties, popped a picnic lunch into a cool bag and put new batteries into the portable radio.
Despite a wet start by the time the Archers omnibus had finished the sun had come out and we did an hour’s pottering in the garden.
Test Match Special, so many stories and anecdotes.
Power finally come on at 3pm, we celebrated with a cup of tea and a slice of cake ☺️
Evening walk with small dog, cool enough for her to chase tennis balls.15 -
oh Frith. That is heartbreaking. Thank goodness for people like you. I am planning to move in the next year. You already know how I love birds. Don't know why but I do.
My Mum (and I plan to move near her) buys her eggs from a farm where they roam free. During lockdown she bought trays and trays and left half a dozen on many doorsteps for the elderly that couldn't get out. She is 78 and still very mobile.
When I am settled I will definitely make a determined effort to do what you do. You have educated and inspired me. Thank you.AKA : Bala La Boo & Bala Baloo

BoP is well versed inn eaten as Dad BoP did the fridges, and we had loads as a brat. So you learn to eat quick. So I again wolfed mes down and weres off. BoPsie spends too long licking instead off ating it, so you can guess. This time no drops!
BoPsie drove back to our pad. Then we wents across the road for some wobbleade and a pizza. Wood fried as well! Very tasty and supporting our locals!
Good news on Satday as the kittens lost and too find out on the weigh home last nite, that the kittens are rooted to the foot of the table. BoP is tuned inn too the interweb radio to Hullberside to hear them spluttering into there cornflakes! And it looks good for hatters too escape! Raffles is on to it!
As BoP was outtas yesterday, he did not groom until this morning. Now all cleaned, groomed.
Watching the cricket, sound off, as I am listening to splutter inns! Get inn. Wicket has fallen! Now offs to do some soup with crusty bread for lunch. Thens wes is having the smoked haddock kedgeree for dinner later, served withy proper shrimps as well. Not inn Jimmy the Cooks books! Good for yous!

Frith, So glad the hens will enjoy life with you now. When it was possible in Wales I loved purchasing the eggs direct from honesty farms etc, sadly a lot of the boxes are gone now further to people just taking.
1 I started off thinking I’ll just hoover upstairs, but if I don’t do downstairs it will track, so I did the house, then I decided to mop clean as well as looking I could see it needed doing. All the while doing this the smell of rosemary and oregano is going through with the port roast cooking.
2 A simple roast, with a mix of sprouts, new pots, courgette and carrot and apple sauce.
3 Spent a half hour just sitting out in the garden with a tea, watching the birds and butterflies, at one point the garden was just moving around.
4 Tried something I was nervous of as it’s a healthy alternative I dried and roasted chickpeas and lentils and tried them as a snack tonight hoping it will keep DH’s diabetes on an even keel and it passed as a crispy snack, I’m pleased as there’s a lot of them.
5 Looking forward to a bath, thou I’m not convinced I won’t just fall asleep in it at the moment.

Hello. Just off phone to DD1 who has a dilemma. Not sure if I was any help! But nice she wants advice.
Awake early after a rubbish sleep. Sometimes I’m just glad to get up once it’s an appropriate time.
Was at supermarket before seven o’clock. Had a £3 off voucher.
Friend needed some help so went over there and was helpful.
Went to vets to pick up dog meds.
Home and hung out more washing. It was sunny.Came inside. It started pouring with rain...was a tad surprised!Had a very deep snoozette! Weird dream.
Work meeting. Back to work on Wednesday.
Nipped into supermarket and got quite a few very Rtc things. Walked home (DD2 had driven me there but was going onward)
Son had made tea and then a very yummy but very RTC Belgian bun each for tea.
Big chat to friend on phone.14 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) A lie in.
2) 5 trips to the allotment to see the chickens!
3) Went to see mum and dad to pick up runner bean poles and second mum and dad appeared.
4) Roast dinner then Millie's cookies later on (HM)
5) Had two attempts to get the chickens to bed - had to go back a second time when it was dark. 2 were in the pen sensibly, Paloma was on a perch outside and Deborah Meaden was in the far corner of the pen and had made herself a nest in the damp grass! So they were picked up and put in the pen. 6 eggs today, which means they were too shocked to lay any yesterday but doubled up on today's.12
