Been away for a few days
1. Feel relaxed and hadn't realised how stressed I was.
2. DH is more relaxed. The break came at a good time when his Mothers house is finally being rented.
3. Time spent with friends.
4. House is fairly clean and tidy on our return.
5. Presents for colleagues retirement all arrived ok.12 -
For yesterday,
Early morning walk, just me and small dog as left beloved snoozing.
Sunny, warm day so most of it spent outside although the thunder bugs were irritating at times.
Beloved continued with hedge cutting ( it surrounds the cottage so around 100 metres all in all ) whilst I pottered doing the weeding and dead heading.
Easy lunch of chicken tray bake.
We have spotted what looks like a baby walnut tree next to the large one at the corner of the field, no point having it so close to its ‘parent ‘ so I’m going to ask the farmer if we can dig it up and transplant to our garden, although will probably start it off in a large pot first.13 -
Morning all
Pleasures for yesterday
1. OH and i were up bright and early so we went for a fairly long (17 miles) cycle ride. Lovely
2. House has been cleaned (again! - one thing about lockdown is the amount of cleaning / dishwasher emptying we are doing). All four of us pitch in to clean it so it isn't too tiresome - i was on kitchen, our bedroom and ensuite. DD gave the main bathroom a 'bottoming', OH did dusting and hard floors and DS did hoovering. Each is about an hour..
3. Sat in the garden doing a little work but mainly watching the birds squabbling on the feeders. Starting to be able to recognise some now (as in types, not individual birds) - it's not my strong point.
4. DD came and sat outside and we did some quizzes from my Big Issue magazine.
5. Had a BBQ in the evening.
Have a lovely day allI wanna be in the room where it happens11 -
Yesterday
A lovely sunny day. Gardening and organising!
Visit from DS and DGD. So good to see them both. DGD 's last 2 days at school this week then in Sept she goes to 'big' school. Time has flown!
Still having daily phone chats with friend who was widowed shortly before lockdown. I started it because I was worried about her being on her own, but actually it's been good for me too.
DD back from a weekend at the caravan. After weeks of very intensive working from home, she relished the change of scenery!
Happy Tuesday everyone

Fort the same ...
A bit old but the Olympic Football Final!
DD Can visualise it now! Stood over the breakies and thinking BoP would be placing snorkers!
Mayonnaise. That is just carp the Belgium's put on poor inferior chips!
Now with another dollop of BoP!
No, I has not still got those glasses! Why, well the buckfarce this day is awash with carp again because some optical group with the same name as me optician has gone under. All saying me optician is no more. Silly porkers, like Brenda from 65! Still, how easy the sheople are bled!
Just bins out down the harbour at Lydney. Went through Wales to get there! Took some snaps and will be doing them very soonest. Tom soup was drinked, with crab and cucumber sarnies! PM2DD Snorker roll was also had with a nice bit of cake. BoP is outta tarts!
Date Nite yestereve inn the wobbleade emporium. Wood fried pizza was eaten, together with wobbleades of choice. BoPsie was in her new glad rags bought last weak, but not at the hoohaa store as we don'ts does the throw away fashion!
Well, I did BBQ a day early, but we has the spiced up sticky chicken frozen in the freezer for later! Stoved buzzard curry this evening! More later.
That is your lot today!
Then late in the year, one has nearly run out of cash! Anyone remember how too use the Cash Dispenser?

Good afternoon all, pleasures for yesterday...
Cut the grass in the back and weeded so for a short time both house and garden are clean and tidy.
Called to a friend for a socially distanced chat in her garden. Came home with a bunch of flowers and an otter sculpture for my garden. Both appreciated.
The HT didn't fancy a roast dinner so evening meal was pizza. Easy to make after gardening.
Listened to a podcast that was recommended by a friend. I've never bothered with podcasts but I enjoyed this one and listened to a few more on the same channel.
Couple of hours online gaming with best friend. Chatted about gardening and all sorts of other things while we played.
Take care all of you

Hello . After a ghastly start it’s turned out a nice evening, in a blowy and cool way.Rubbish sleep. Sore back. Sore hip. Bit better today though.
Builders came at 8.30am so we had all had to do the find somewhere else to park the car dance!New window in DD2 room. You know as the rain was at its absolute heaviest! What is it with new windows /doors and torrential rain? Or maybe it’s just me! The previous window couldn’t be opened without fear of falling out, had the howliest draughts blow and the occasional wet windowsill with rain so was badly needed replacing...and then came lockdown.
New porch started. New floor level created . Hopefully cement dried by tomorrow and frameworks can go up. Again door needing replaced as very draughty. Will be the tiniest mud room ever. As in teeny . But enough to dry a doggy and leave muddy boots in it.Nice chat with joiner as he was finishing up. This firm was recommended by several friends.
Lovely ( if a little squishy ) walk through fields with doggy.
Had some pasta for dinner.15 -
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Not really a lie in, but not a bad sleep.
2) Porridge for breakfast.
3) Did a complicated picking brother in law up so he could leave his car, dropping him off at the canoe where bigger son was waiting manouevere. Took a video of them canoeing away including getting swept into weeping willows and shouting "argh, ouch"!
4) Went into a charity shop for the first time since March, got bigger son some shorts (most of his clothes are left in France) - and he doesn't like them!
5) Went to Tesco.
6) Emailed the three County Council people to say they have not emailed me the paperwork they promised would be arriving immediately after our meeting last Tuesday. Asked them what they have done to progress matters for smaller son (sadly, I think we know exactly what they've done since last week. Or, indeed, last year).
7) Had to email smaller son's GP (we've never met her as we haven't been in to the surgery for 5 years!) The County Council don't believe the report that they commissioned (as they would have to provide all sorts for smaller son) so now want "proof" that he is disabled from his GP.
8) The new hens will arrive on Sunday.
9) Made a large broccoli cheese with gammon for tea.
10) Watched the Man Utd match.13 -
1 The house is/was clean and the garden front and back looks more loved than yesterday.
2 Spent time watering and hoping everything is ok
3 I went to order in but it wasn’t to be so we had a terrible dinner, it was a tad overdone.
4 Numerous washing loads, rugs/towels/cushions all done and hung out.
5 I wondered what the noise was only to see a sparrow literally dancing in the bird bath, that’s what it’s there for and a delight to see.
